I’m an expert on Bane and many Bane-era-related things, and the orbalisks were not extremely susceptible to electricity: that’s a common misconception.
Im a bit of a Darth bane expert myself. I think this idea comes from the part of the book where banes own force lightning was reflected back at him and it fried the orbalisk.
@@AndreNitroX , sure, but something to keep in mind is how powerful Bane’s lightning is portrayed throughout the Bane trilogy. Also, earlier in Rule of Two, a group of Umbaran Shadow Assassins ambushed Bane (kind of), and their Force Pikes were set to the highest setting, which is noted to be lethal, and Bane gets hit with 5 at once, and the orbalisks absorb most of it all just fine. 🤷♂️ People might also cite the way the orbalisks were surgically removed as proof they’re “extremely susceptible to electricity,” but this would be a bit of a reductive take on the surgical process, which specifically included bypassing their outer shell first by piercing the underbelly with a needle hooked up to a battery from a starship, and then once it was loosed enough and removed, each orbalisk that was still alive was killed off by submerging it in a tub of water and electrified with the same charge until electrocuted. So, I guess you could reasonably and accurately say, if you douse Bane with water first, THEN his orbalisk armor would indeed then be extremely susceptible to electricity. 😅 I can’t exactly blame people too much for having this misconception about the orbalisks’ relation with electricity however, since it took me combing through the books and reading them multiple times for me to get a crystal clear understanding. 🤷♂️

I'm glad you mentioned the Zillo beast like I said in your last video, I didn't know anything else that was impervious to lightsabers until I saw this. On a separate issue my friend do you think Starkiller Galen Marek is more powerful than Darth Vader and should he be made canon? I tried watching the Force Unleashed again and he is an interesting character but his powers are to over the top. Like studying the ancient Jedi and Sith from KOTOR and SWTOR all those characters it took them awhile to master their powers and abilities to make them what we see in the games. I also don't like the storyline of the Empire and Starkiller creating the Rebel Alliance to help Vader overthrow the Emperor. I prefer Disney canon of seeing the Rebellion in the early years of the Rebel series and Rogue One
