    • @wahrerrosty5347
      @wahrerrosty5347 3 года назад +3

      @@100StarWars As far as I know there isnt 100% evidence on that but there was a civilication called "Kiliks" who like the Rakata got similar blessings and one of them them claimed the ones from tcw to be some sort of a remnant of the celestials.
      Their planet Mortis looks quite similar to Rakatan temples or buildings or Holocrons (which are Rakatan knowledge).
      That can lead to the assumption of the ones being connected to the celestials.
      The Rakata said that those gods left them but I rather believe that the Rakata upset the celestials by their craving for power.
      This would mean that there used to be more force entities then just light, dark and order but those disappeared.
      According to legends there are actually more: There is Abeloth, who was a human but became a Celestial and embodied Chaos.
      And there is Anakin who was supposed to take the fathers place (I guess as an Answer to the manipulation of balance by Darth Plagueis.)
      So it is quite likely that there were more in the past.
      On top of that the Rakatan leader is called " the one ".
      That might be an ancient tradition of contesting the celestials since in TCW they are also called "the ones".
      So to me it seems quite likely that the ones in TCW are connected to the Celestials and the Rakata.

    Even more curious, all of these references are perfectly in keeping with Legends canon...well, all except one: Malachor. Unless some enterprising Sith Lord literally rebuilt the planet after Meetra destroyed it, that is the most glaring swerve from the past story. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

    Honestly, in my head canon, KoTOR and the Clone Commando game and books are basically canon.
    Of those, I think KoTOR is the easiest to bring back into the canon than Clone Commandos given the latter's proximity to the mainline series, but Disney really would only have to retcon a few things to bring KoTOR into the canon -- Korriban to Morriban, regular lightsabers to cross-guard sabers, and the fact Aftermath acknowledges the total devastation of Taris as stemming from an "unknown event" plays straight into the idea that the galaxy at large isn't really that familiar with the concept of the Force, Sith, and Jedi. It took the Galactic Empire like fifty years to convince the galaxy the Jedi were a myth, and we're talking 4,000 years.
    It does warm my heart tho to see these little bits of my favorite game franchise of all time slowly creep into the mainstream canon.

    So much for the old EU being a "disorganized mess" that would hamper Lucasfilm's creativity. I wonder where is the story group's outrage that EU elements they despised so much are being added back in? No instead we'll just decanonize what was the original source material and slowly reintroduce stuff that was already canon before, and then we'll add our own little touch to it and then claim that this is their expanded universe when in reality it's the original expanded universe but bastardized.
    Lucasfilm may be making the story decisions, but you cannot tell me that Disney has no say or influence in these decisions, either that or Lucasfilm is taking the tactics of their parent company as inspiration.

    Personally I think if kotor is made canon I think it should be done in a vague way. Like, kotor HAPPENED, but there isn't a "canon" version of events doesn't exist. Kotor is so long ago so it's reasonable that in the current era the "true" nature of events could be forgotten to time. This way each player's experience with the games could be canon
