My favorite album cover of all time! When I was over at Grandma's house, we hung out with my uncle and he would put his music on the record player - Clapton, Led Zep, The Beatles, etc. I would look through his album collection at the covers and couldn't help but find LZ3 with the spinner disc! So cool. Still so cool!! Gonna tune the guitar tonight and try this.
Another great lesson! C6 tuning??? Who else but Jimmy Page would do this!! Such amazing work on both electric AND acoustic guitars. So glad you're covering these deeper cuts👍
I wore out my 8 Track copy in my Acadian car, so I bought another copy and ending up burning out my 8 Track player. What a great album and tutorial 12 Ft ♪♫♪♫♪♫
I don't know how you do it you come up with these great lessons great classic music but I do know this is the right place to come learn them if you want to learn how they're supposed to be played ah thank you for the great job you do and I am subscribed and as soon as I get some dough I'll I'll order some merch thanks
This really makes you appreciate how much of a composer jimmy page was. All people ever talk about is hpw sloppy he was in the late 70s, but 69-73, the guy was probably the best in the business
Thanks from Aus. This reminded me, of just how fun this song is to play. And I picked up a few little tips from your vid, that you don’t get from tab. Really enjoying your channel 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love it! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone give a lesson on ”Shining in the light” from Walking Into Clarksdale. Would love to see your take on it, and just what Jimmy is doing😄 You’ve been a massive influence for so many people, keep ’em coming!!
Mars, Bringer of War had a lot to do with Friends ~ also played as part of the bow solo during live versions of Dazed The Planets Suite for Orchestra, op. 32: I. Mars, the Bringer of War. composition by Gustav Holst also maybe, possibly, a tiny bit of Suite: Judy Blue Eyes for the jingley jangley dancing triplet thing. ...Debatable
It's frightening that content a creator with great teaching and technical skills is so novel on YT! 😂 You deserve a good million or two subscribers, sir.
Crazy good song off an underrated album! I've heard plenty of songs with a major melody and sad lyrics, but this is the only one I can think of with a minor melody and happy lyrics. Very unusual.
Think this song has always struck me as Ominous Sounding. Nearly ethereal. One of my favorite Jimmy Acoustic Songs! Yes,.. there are many favorites. Ha! Thanks for this one!! That's one old Yamaha too, right? Still have my Martin Sigma from the 70s too, mines 1971. The one with the inlayed "M" turned sideways at the top.
Can definitely hear Holst's "Mars" in this. King Crimson did a cover the year before, and of course Black Sabbath modified the riff to make it scarier.
I never post or comment so this is really a first for me. I never took guitar lessons and am self taught until 8 months ago while recovering from back surgery I started lessons (i mean why not i was laid up for a bit) and have scoured your videos and am grateful to say you have helped me over a plateau so THANK YOU! Do you have a website ?
We can tell you enjoy your work sir, it shows in the end product. On next years anniversary show, maybe please share a funny road story. Like the Friday night we played in DeKalb, IL & the board man's station wagon ran out of gas (1974)..his tank imploded & it was a gallon & 1/2 at a time, lol, all the way home. The real bitch was, we had to play upstate WI the next night...same scenario. Horrible then, hilarious now. Gigs were thru a new talent agency, so we HAD to show. I think we woulda' crawled there w/it on our backs. lol From Les's home town.
I like the studio chatter before this song. If you listen carefully it sounds like Jimmy Shhhhhhhh's everyone before he starts playing the song proper.
Fun fact: this was slated to be the soundtrack to that Bugs Bunny cartoon where the mad scientist breaks the bottle of ether and he and Bugs Bunny move through the castle in super slow mo; the only thing that stopped it was the fact that Jimmy Page was probably about 12 years old and hadn't started playing guitar yet... true story...
Friends, That's the Way, Gallows Pole, Tangerine...
Jimmy rocks on acoustic 🎸
Page is a brilliant dude. He must be one of the greatest minds ever in rock.

"The greatest thing you ever can do now is share a smile with someone who's blue now."
Very easy.

Nice job! Since we can never have too much Zeppelin, For Your Life is a very under-explored song, might be worth a go.
yes!
That’s standard tuning in pretty sure
It's frightening that content a creator with great teaching and technical skills is so novel on YT! 😂
You deserve a good million or two subscribers, sir.
Thank you for saying! Would love nothing more, spread the word!
Id love to see some Scorpions like "big city nights" or "sails of charon" .
Great work lately. Keep it up🤘
That’s apples and oranges dude.
Crazy good song off an underrated album! I've heard plenty of songs with a major melody and sad lyrics, but this is the only one I can think of with a minor melody and happy lyrics. Very unusual.

New to your channel. Good work, excellent 👌

You can also play their song Poor Tom in this tuning

Ha! “Coomme heeeerreee bunnnyy rrraabbittt.”
Both songs were written at the same time, just left off the 3rd LP
Have you done I'm going to leave you?
Just need to find a singer like RP.
I tried tuning my E string down to a C and it just ended up being too slinky! lol
It would really help if you played the song that you are about to teach in its entirety in the beginning of the video……
Can't always do that, it often gets it demonetized.
Break out the bongo drums
You talk way too much. Spend more time actually playing the riffs. People would pickup on what you are doing... my .02
