Sweet friends i'm a old 83 year old woman very glad and happy I stopped by to look at your channel. Was invited into your family has enjoyed every moment I see both of you.. PRAYERS BLESSINGS TO CALVIN AND MARIE. May God continute to keep his healing and Loving arms both of them in Jesus name I Pray.🙏🙏🙏
We still respect each other. I beg to differ. Always nice wherever I go. If you look and nit pick about anyone. I'm sure you will find people stressed just like 1960- 1980s. Same people...learning to live on earth is a blessing. Dont assume anyone is different. You will be holding hands with every color very soon. Heaven isn't a resting place it's us all together getting every planet settled and only God and his son rules us. This will be the only time we rule ourselves on our agenda. Look for amazing friends, and amazing people in your town & city ...the world on TV isn't the world.
At 85 for yrs I have bought lots of food every Oct. I do this because I live in a state that gets very cold in winter. I also have wild heat bills, property taxes, home owners insurance first of year so it is just good planning for me.
@@SouthernCountryLiving I'm from rural Maine and I do the same thing. The winters here make it pretty difficult to get out and about so I stock up the pantry. 😊
My nearest Walmart is 40 miles away and I don't drive that far anymore. I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla that needs to last me for the rest of my life. 150,000 miles and running strong for my around town driving. Thanks for letting me re-live my shopping sprees at Walmart!
Our 2007 Toyota Corolla has over 320,000 miles on it and is going strong. Other than oil changes and tires we haven't had to put much money in it. Great cars! ❤
Im seventy and my son n law is repairing my little car so i can drive to our only store Walmart. I miss shopping out of town, but dont enjoy being out as much since i became a widow & illness.
Last Friday (sept 27) through today (Oct 3) I've spent around $500 restocking my pantry and freezer(s) I might buy a few more canned goods (Aldi was getting low on many items!) I've already been to Walmart and Sam's Club, but I can go back! Overall though, I'm feeling good about the upcoming winter here in Michigan!

You both are absolutely precious. I’m glad I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago and subscribed right away. I look forward to each new video!
Hello Calvin and Marie, Thanks for y'alls prayers. Sorry that i'm just now getting to comment, we just got our lights on this morning. The storm really tore up our town, but i'm glad no one got hurt or killed here.Everybody came together and helped each other. All the roads are just about cleared. Thanks for sharing the grocery haul. We've got to stock out freezers back up,we had to throw out a lot of meats and other food items.I thank God that we have insurance. Ya'll be blessed and have a wonderful weekend. ❤❤❤
Great job!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your family 💝 You are truly Loved, all your viewers are such a growing and loving bunch of nice people ❤🎉
My husband and I are enjoying your videos , we relax together and watch them in the evening mostly. May God bless you both with continued health and prosperity! 🙏❤️
My sister and I did a small prepping haul yesterday and my sister was very careful about checking the canned vegetables for dents. Thanks for this reminder! We have yet to try this pick up style, but looks very convenient.
My husband and myself admire both of you. We started watching your videos a month ago and now we went back and watch your older videos and at the same time watch the latest ones, thank you so much and blessings to both of you and your whole family be safe.
I use some spam with rice and pineapple really good you can add your own seasoning or sauces to it to fit your taste you can dice it up or slice it. I really enjoy your videos.Stau safe. 🙏 🤲 🙏
I've watched a couple of your prepping & weekly grocery hauls & I see things each time that I never knew Wal Mart sold. I'll be glad when our Wal Mart has canned seasoned butterbeans in stock so we can try them. I agree about the vegetable oil. Today I was telling my grandson how old my brother was & that I was 3 years younger. My grandson informed me that we were older than dinosaurs 😀. My heart goes out the victims of Hurricane Helene & we're praying. A friend shared 'Why weren't they prepared?'. Main points made: 1. They had no idea they were going to receive as much rain as they did. (Most of us have had weather to stall over us.) 2. Hurricane Helene was never expected to go that far inland. It was supposed to have downgraded quicker like other hurricanes. We're praying. I know God has a purpose for everything. To read about all of the people helping them is wonderful, but also breaks my heart because so much more help is needed. I was glad to read that a doctor from our area flew his helicopter to help & another man flew his airplane. Many are sending the normal items, but I read today where one company in our area is sending bales of hay for livestock. The people in one business that helps after many hurricanes were shocked at all the damage they saw. My prayers are constantly being said for all from the victims to the volunteers, linemen, etc. & for the families of the helpers that had to remain home.
I did a Walmart pick-up today too. Most of my order was ingredients to make several of the recipes I found on your channel. So far, the ones I have tried turned out great. The only one that didn't turn out for me was the peach cobbler. I will try to make the peach cobbler again it may have been an error on my part not the recipe. We like the 25% less sodium spam the best.
I always enjoy seeing your grocery hauls. I think it is wise to be prepared. My cousin that lives in Asheville NC is still without power and water. Their house is fine but there are so many trees and fallen limbs from their property blocking access to the main road. Publix is the only grocery store open and there are over 75 cars li end up waiting to get in the parking lot. My cousin didn’t think hurricane Helene would effect them since since they don’t live near the water.
I am grateful to know you did a good haul. I am concerned for people in the South and the East coast , with The East Coast Port strike it will be affecting stores within a couple of weeks if they do not get it resolvedd . Have a Blessed day . God Bless you Both.🙏
I enjoyed this haul. I’m going to have to do a Walmart prepper haul. You reminded me of things I had not thought of or consumed in a long time. ‘Potted meat”. I grew up eating that but I know it’s been 40 years at least since I had it. Growing up in the south!
Calvin, Marie - I want to share that with the dock strike it has been stated on the news that we will not see a shortage in the stores yet people are still panicking. What we will see is increase in food prices. So it is good that you stock up reasonably. Let's pray that we won't experience empty shelves.
Thank you Marie and Calvin for sharing your Walmart grocery haul. Enjoy all your videos. God bless and thinking and praying for all the people involved in the hurricane.
Hi Marie and Calvin. I used to eat sardines but I just can’t anymore but I should. They are high in calcium also. I liked the ones in mustard. Why are Walmarts cans so dented. We had that with the chicken. Had to hunt for good cans of chicken. Nice haul too. Oh I love candy..🍫
Thanks for sharing your ideas about prepping. We are just a little older than y'all and have always kept a few extra things on hand, but today we went to Sam's and got a pretty big haul of food and cleaning supplies. They were completely out of toilet paper. I guess the TP hoarders are at it again. 😂 I make quilts on my channel and love what I do, Marie!❤
Really enjoyed this video on how you prep shop. I live alone now & like to have things in but never really did it on a regular basis. I like the way you two get a little at a time & it adds up. Blessings to you both & so glad that hurricane missed your area.🙏❤🙏
Thank you so much for sharing your delicious meals. Today I made the fried cabbage 🥬 with potatoes topped with bacon. It was a winner 🏅 at the dinner table. Last week, I made the meatloaf and my family devoured it. Keep sharing as they are quick and delicious meals. Blessings
Good evening Calvin & Marie! I think you two are the cutest couple! You remind me so much of my parents who passed away in 2018, 6 months apart. I just love watching your videos! I live near Savannah in a little town called Rincon. I have to tell you, I made your broccoli cheddar soup and it was fabulous. Everyone loved it! Thanks for sharing all these great recipes. Love your videos. I am from Texas close to Houston. I also just placed a Walmart order. Started hearing that things are gonna get scarce due to the strikes and we tried to order from Sam’s and sure enough a lot was out of stock. I just hope people will not panic like they did during Covid. Have a blessed week.
its always good to be prepared, I have heard rumors about anther wave of panic buying is going on due to strikes in the boarder trade importation industry. keep prepping guys. Ive heard it said that if I do my part and do my best God will do the rest. I do everything I can to make the most of $600/month. no it's not easy but it is doable in my situation. and yes I do buy a little extra to put back in preps while paying cash never taking out loans, credit cards or overdrafting my account. I live as frugal as possible! thanks for taking us along!
I went to Sams Club yesterday and shortages are VERY real! No toilet paper, bottled water, napkins, pain and cold medicine, bread etc…. I am going to try somewhere else tomm… 😢. Thank you for sharing!
God bless you both. Enjoyed watching this video. Got some great ideas for future purchases for my family too. Looks like a very nice haul indeed. Love from Ky Sub.
I'm also a senior living on a fixed income. End of month I also try to cover food for a month. Prepping canned goods is an excellent idea so I'll be doing some of that this month. Thank you for the tips. God bless you both.

You both are blessings. I look forward to all of your upcoming videos and can't wait to watch all of the ones you've made so far! Thank you! You have already made my day. Much love from central Kansas, Tanya.
Hey Calvin and Marie.🤗. I do the same thing. If there’s any money left build your stock. We got to 85 today. But the nights are cooling off nicely. Leaves are falling, but now we’re in fire watch mode because we’re dry and wind coming Saturday 😐. Hope all is well. Have a Blessed evening!🍁🌻🍂✨
I have tried and tried, I do not like the riced cauliflower. I would rather eat less of the rice…lol…I so enjoyed your haul and love to see what others eat. I have eaten sardines since I was a kid. I got away from them as I got older, but now again I stock my pantry with them. I like the skinless boneless in olive oil or the mustard is good also. I also eat canned smoked trout which I get from Amazon, but it is not cheap. This week at Lidl’s I bought 5 bigger cans of pink salmon for $10, and 5 cans of the canned corned beef for $10. They are for my prepper stock. Thank you for sharing….Blessings to you both always….🎚️🙏😇🥰😉
That's a pretty good haul! Anxious to hear what you think of sardines. I've never put one in my mouth, but the idea is😖 Have a great Friday and weekend ❤
Nice restock on the preps! I need to do an inventory and see what needs restocking in our canned goods. When I was growing up, my grandmother, whose family was originally from Alabama even though she was born in Oklahoma, would make sweetened cornbread for breakfast. It wasn't real sweet, but she did add a little sugar. Sometimes she baked it and we ate it crumbled in milk, other times she fried it like pancakes and we ate them with butter and honey or syrup. If we were having cornbread with soup, stew, greens or beans, it was regular cornbread, so I like it either way, lightly sweetened or unsweetened. Grandma preferred white cornmeal as well. I like them both, and keep both on hand.
I do online ordering with shipping to my home and several times I have gotten dented cans also. I also do pick-up orders from Food Lion due to mobility issues I can't spend an hour or two in the grocery stores. I do miss selecting my own meats and produce though.
Thank you for showing us the tree and the yard; very pretty! I agree with you Marie; weather-wise Fall is my fave time of year also. Thanks for showing us your prepping haul. Never fails that you get an item or two that reminds me that I want to get it also. Really enjoy your channel!! ❤️
Thanks Marie and Calvin sharing your grocery haul.. I buy the great value cream style corn. It’s really good..like your videos..This is my kind videos.. Bless You
Thank you for sharing. Love your Halls. Love your accents! They're so cute! You guys look very cute together and I also love your music. Texting you from Sacramento, California❤
You all talk about stocking up on the can goods and pantry items, which I enjoy watching. But do you prep ahead on meats and maybe fruit or vegetables in the freezer??
We do have extra in the freezer but not a large amount. In case of extreme emergencies the cans will last for years with out electricity. The freezer items will only last as long as you can run a generator to keep it frozen.
Thanks, That was a great haul. Taking care of our families is crucial in these times. Chocolate and Coffee & tea on shortage list when port strike happens now we have a 90 day reprieve on the strike so stock up.
Good afternoon Calvin and Marie, I've been stocking up myself and getting ready for our Canadian winter , i look at flyers every week and I'm saving which is a good thing ...thank you for sharing...sending prayers ❤
Loved your video. I shop at Walmart and I saw a few things that I plan to buy and try! My husband and I both love Fall and thanks for sharing the picture! May God's blessings be upon you both.
Thank you for your meal and food prep ideas, it has really helped me be prepared. Fried spam chopped in small pieces is really good in rice with other vegetables 😋 I agree with you on vegetable oil, that is mainly what I cook with and my grandmother cooked with (who lived to be 91).

You got a good price on those
May I ask about the smoked trout that you get from Amazon , is it in a can like sardines ? And how do you prepare it ? I would like to try it. Thanks
That's a pretty good haul! Anxious to hear what you think of sardines. I've never put one in my mouth, but the idea is😖 Have a great Friday and weekend ❤
My husband ADORES sardines! He eats them right out of the can - or I make him a sandwich. I won't eat them lol!
Thank you! You too!

Thanks very much, that is similar to how we do it here in Georgia
Love the haul! 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Thank you! 🤗
Last time you took me with you to Walmart i ordered the black sweater online. 🥰🥰
What a great idea
Thanks for sharing ❤
You are so welcome
I do online ordering with shipping to my home and several times I have gotten dented cans also. I also do pick-up orders from Food Lion due to mobility issues I can't spend an hour or two in the grocery stores. I do miss selecting my own meats and produce though.
Thanks very much
We went out and stocked up too. Love your channel! God bless you!❤️❤️
Awesome! Thank you!
During the pandemic I really appreciated Walmart pickup. Great haul by the way!
Thanks very much
I like the arches on your house.

Thank you for showing us the tree and the yard; very pretty! I agree with you Marie; weather-wise Fall is my fave time of year also. Thanks for showing us your prepping haul. Never fails that you get an item or two that reminds me that I want to get it also. Really enjoy your channel!! ❤️
Thanks very much
Great haul.
Thank you! 🤗
You might like to try the sardines with some thinly sliced onions. Yum!I IMO the skinless and boneless kind are the best. I hope you like them too!😊
Thanks very much
Enjoyed the haul and your chit chat at the beginning. I like those Chunky soups as well. Hope you all have a blessed weekend. 😊🌅🍂

We sure do appreciate your showing us your Walmart haul. We are learning a lot from you two and we are thankful for this channel. God bless. :)
Thanks so much
Thanks for sharing, great haul , enjoy watching your videos 😊
Thanks very much
You all talk about stocking up on the can goods and pantry items, which I enjoy watching. But do you prep ahead on meats and maybe fruit or vegetables in the freezer??
We do have extra in the freezer but not a large amount. In case of extreme emergencies the cans will last for years with out electricity. The freezer items will only last as long as you can run a generator to keep it frozen.
Thanku lovely video x
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks, That was a great haul. Taking care of our families is crucial in these times. Chocolate and Coffee & tea on shortage list when port strike happens now we have a 90 day reprieve on the strike so stock up.
Yes, thanks very much
Awesome haul. Please let us know about the sardines. I bought a few cans a while back, but haven't had the nerve to try them!
Will do!!
Try them on saltines crackers great snack

I adore these 2

Loved your video. I shop at Walmart and I saw a few things that I plan to buy and try! My husband and I both love Fall and thanks for sharing the picture! May God's blessings be upon you both.
Thanks very much Sandra
Thank you for your meal and food prep ideas, it has really helped me be prepared. Fried spam chopped in small pieces is really good in rice with other vegetables 😋 I agree with you on vegetable oil, that is mainly what I cook with and my grandmother cooked with (who lived to be 91).
Thanks very much for sharing this information
I just love your Walmart trips!
Glad you like them!
my husband is at end stage COPD and is home bound so I rarely go shopping. So watching y’all shopping is a treat!
