- One thing we’ve always said about the E9x M3 Comp Pack is just how well tuned the suspension is for Britain - It maintains a level of composure over a bumpy B-road at speed that many newer cars can only dream of.
Because of this we’ve always been hesitant to play with the suspension on them, which considering how high the front sits compared to the back has been a little bit of an internal challenge! However the time has come for us to face this challenge.
Enter our friends at MSS, we lent them our M3 to see if they could once again work their magic on the E9x M3 platform, allowing us to get the stance right and maybe even find a few improvements to the comfort and handling at the same time.

Hey guys awesome as usual. I had hoped and think suggested that these would be a great combination with the Bilstein’s so that was very interested to see that the standard Bilstein’s were not suitable. So in saying that can’t wait to see your special Bilstein’s in action with the MSS springs and if it works as you say like your F80 setup then put a complete set up on hold for me.

My anxiety is through the roof now (in a positive way of course) waiting to see what comes of the B6 setup. As mentioned before, I am keeping the EDC, but I definitely need new dampers. A set of B6s with MSS sounds perfect 👌🏽 Btw, thanks for updating the site and those Nikes are fresh! 👌🏽🔥💯

I have a black 2011 m3 It runs really well but doesn't sound as crispy as yours. I just have an openKNN filter intake and a Borga exhaust. I put new plugs in it per your recommendation.! I live in Nevada where the roads are wide open and in good condition, even the back roads are great with no cops either. I keep my oil fresh and I run the car pretty hard to keep it in good tune. I follow everything you guys do on the M3. Put in rod bearings myself.My gas mileage is only 15 miles per gallon, so I drive my 335I mostly around town.I hope you guys never stop developing the M3

I have Eibach Pro-kit now and love my ride height, but have 94k miles on my edc struts so if you guys could try to review the Pro-kit with your spec b6's that would be a massive help!
you are so lucky you should be in my shoes everyday is a struggle getting out of bed to taking my injections as well as having a brain heammorrage etc but you take it in your stride that is most welcome and cant wait for the next video and a happy new year to you and the guys and girls there.

Aside from new MSS+Evolve B6 Combo - would you rather go with MSS with stock schocks, or stock/lowering springs with B6?? I have F82 with Eibach
Really good review! How would you say these MSS HAS compare to a more straightforward and cheaper Eibach Pro Kit setup?
I currently run Eibachs on my e90 M3 and I am not totally convinced. They ride fine, but they do not take bigger hits particularly well - I feel the bump stops more often than I would want, and the back of the car suffers a bit from the classic BMW pogo back end, which I didn't notice as much with the OEM setup, making me suspect the dampers aren't the issue.
Do you find the MSS a bit more sophisticated in taking bigger compressions?
A comparison with the KW HAS kit would also be amazing - but I appreciate you have more experience with the Eibachs.
MSS rides noticeably better than the Eibach setup from memory. Eibach is a good upgrade but as said they can be a little harsh which the MSS setup does not have, especially on the rear with the triple spring rate.
KW HAS is noticeably stiffer and harsher.

Hoping in the next 2-3 months, just waiting for first batch, everything delayed unfortunately. Will be offering them with the MSS yes. Excellent combo.

You mentioned the car has the competition package. Does the comp package suspension use the same length dampers just a shorter spring?
What size spacers are you guys running? I ran a forward rake with KW HAS kit and found the rear twitchy unless compensated for by going lower, have you found this with MSS? Great videos on the 92!
15mm on the front and 12mm on the rear. Haven't experienced anything like that on the MSS setup. The rear spring is far more advanced compared to the KW.

Quick version - no need to modify dampers, quicker and safer to fit, easier to return to standard. Focus on handling and comfort not just lowering. 3 spring rates on the rear to further increase comfort and handling ability,
@@EvolveAutomotive thanks for this! I can’t complain about the KW’s to be fair, have seen heavy Nurburgring use and always performed. As a package with new dampers in the future the MSS and B6 look very promising!
@@Patr1ck2332 they certainly serve a purpose but we were always disappointed with ride quality, which the MSS excels at.
We are testing that combo currently and it really is impressive.
Imran, 20mm max front on your comp, what can I expect on non comp E92 running factory comp wheels? Was hoping for bigger than 20mm on these new springs

Do they require shaved top mounts and E36 bump stops. I was put off Eibach kit as I hear you lose the dust covers which won’t fit the E36 bump stops ?
MSS have not advised any need for different bump stops. We have fitted it to their instructions.

I cant seem to find the video witht the new Bilstein B6 and MSS combo on this car. did it not work?
We are still waiting for the first batch to be delivered from Bilstein, unfortunately one of the downsides of working with an OEM level company is potential delays like this.
We have them on our car and they work amazingly well, we really can’t wait to get them in to customers hands.

MSS does not fit with the regular Bilstein B6 EDC dampers, but we have designed our own version with Bilstein that does work and we have been testing it over the past few months. We’ll be launching it soon.

Yes that is correct. The adjustments we have made to the damper body has delayed the products release but we believe it will be worth the wait.
Will the new dampers and springs be available for non edc cars?
Springs will be, at the moment plan to only offer EDC dampers.
Curious to know why you had the Bilstein revalved, to add more comfort?
If you saw our B6 EDC review we did last year, you’ll see our thoughts. Basically want to give each mode a more defined difference.

Any updates on the damper project?
Coming very soon! A redesign of the damper to our spec has delayed the project a little but hopefully we have our first batch in the coming months

Would these be recommended for E46 M3’s too? And what if the car has already been lowered slightly ?
No, it’s a different car, they will not fit E46 M3.

When will you test custom b6 and MSS together?
We currently are, we have confirmed the order with Bilstein after our testing. We will release a video on it closer to release date.
Did you ever get a Bilstein /MSS kit together?
Yes - we have it on our E92 M3. The Evolve x Bilstein EDC dampers will be out soon
Soooo tempted to buy an E92 M3.... E92 M3 or F82 M4?
For occasional fun use E92 M3. If its a daily F82 M4.
@@EvolveAutomotive i live in Luton so you already know where I’m going to change the rod bearing hahaha
E92 all the way. Agree the M4 is a better daily, purely due to the lack of fuel hunger, however E92 is so much more special, especially when you think about how common the 3L Turbo is and how many BMW variants it went in.
