For me, a prime example of why buying a pedal in a guitar store can be challenging-- you usually can't hear it in a mix. Isolated I don't find this inspiring (probably just my limited imagination), but when you had it in the mix at the start, man did it sound great and well worth having.
The OG NZ Filth Box from Dunedin. My Crowther pedals always remind me of this famous Canadian TV show I watched growing up about three kids who discover a teleport machine that can take them to the planet Trialveron controlled by the alien tyrant, Dunedin. The Prunes and Custard literally sounds like the work of Dunedin.
My old MXR Blue Box was my favourite for getting that “different” sound for inspiration. Had it for years and sold it and regretted it! Love the Artist LP, not seen you play that before unless I’m mistaken.
Todd I don't comment often but hearing this pedal as a music producer I have to say it's one of the few sounds where it's all there. Like an optical compressor, crazy tube circuits pedals or Crowther Audio pedals it's there, where the overall tone is exceptional that stands out from all the other gear you feature. I hear these awesome axe FX modelers but they don't have these tones that stand out like a Soldano Tube amp or Mesa. There's a different quality to these items I mentioned that differ from the IR's or other elite gear that isn't a perfect copy of sterility. On the mark but missing something that those pedals I mentioned are outdoing when paired with the right artist and instrument. I hear you're achieving something musical here. Listen in comparison with these mentions here. They stand out from that sterile perfected sound.
Very interesting.. I loved it when you were playing lead with the synth LP from the 70's or early 80's.. Love that guitar.. The sound was like a wah and synth that was barely on, and it sounded great.. Not so much to me with the Strat.. It sounded like a cheap fuzz to me.. Strange.. I loved it so much with the LP though.. Maybe it was context.. Great demo though sir.. Outstanding.. Are there any ducking delay pedals that one can buy that you would recommend? Just wondering. Pedal instead of rack I mean.. ? Thanks brother for enriching my life man.. So glad I'm alive to hear you and others do the music thing on a computer in the hills of southern IN. Who knew this would happen. Not me 30 years ago! 😛 Be safe and well brother and say hello to your family from me and pet your cat for me. I try to pet a cat once a day no matter what if possible!
Harmonic Generator is also a song by the band the Datsuns. The chorus is just Harmonic Generator, Intermodulator repeated. Absolutely sick song by a kiwi band.
Damn!!
Going for it with that LP Brother!!
I use one on bass and can confirm it's awesome, its like a very responsive fuzz. Loved that version of No Quarter dude!
Splattery goodness. Like a fuzzy filter. I dig it.

Absolutely rambunctious in a mix!
What's your favourite outrageous pedal?
Gorgeous sounds and playing
Thankyou!
Sounds like what I'll be eating in next few years at the retirement home! That jam with the Les Paul was awesome, massive stadium solo shred. 😍🤘🙏🎸
hahahaha only the best!
Ok, I’m really digging this one. I honesty had no idea Crowther even made anything other than the Hotcake.
I love that the Hotcake is a musical chameleon while this is just straight up rude
One of the best kept secret, fenomenal pedal.

Hahaha sounds like a Canadian version of something like "Round the twist" from Oz.
@@LeonTodd Something like that but from 1979 and with AI already introduced in the form of two talking computers that controlled the universe.
Popular pedal with keys/synth in nz too. I believe the Goodshirt song Sophie is basically a keyboard run into this pedal
Thanks for the heads up, I'll check that out!
Stoner heaven

What a fun pedal. Jimmy Page approved too!
@@LeonTodd :: Fool in the rain.
that thing is an legandary pedal in the bass community. Chris Wolstenholme of Muse is known for using this alot.
Yeah that's where I first heard about it. Sounds huge!

These days I tend to seek out the wilder sounding stuff like this, because the Fractal stuff is so good at everything else
The beginning riffs you play remind me or a young Robin Trower. Very well phrased
Thanks mate! Trower is a big influence
I’d love to hear one of these stacked with a Beetronics Zzombee! And maybe also with an SY-1 for ultimate mayhem!!!
I like the way you're thinking here

TC Flashback pedal is probably going to be the easiest and cheapest way to cop ducking delay!
@@LeonTodd Thank you brother.. You rock man!

I'd forgotten all about that song. Total vibe!
Killer
Disappointed this video didn't start with Harmonic Generator by The Datsuns!
Far out I forgot all about The Datsuns! They get a reference to the EHX Electric Mistress in there as well
The quintessential Nine Inch Nails pedal!!!
I really like this. I'll have to hunt one down.
It's nasty in all the right ways - pretty well priced at the moment too
@@LeonTodd Yeah I just found a new one in Melbourne for $300 including shipping to Northern NSW
P&C 😋
Wet Digital 😳 I was thinking about how that would be good for a base right before you went full troglodyte.🤣👍🏻
:D
@@LeonTodd wait!😳
Did you say you were going to meet up with The Iron Maidens?
😍They are badass! & cute!🥰
You lucky dog you.🤘🏻😁👍🏻
