THIS woman has moved countries to marry a man on death row. Sigrid, 39, lives in Florida with her nine-month-old son. She is a long way from her native home of France, where she once had a large support system of family and friends. Since moving to the states three years ago to marry a man on death row her life has been turned upside down. Her husband Alan is in a prison a one hour drive away from her, where he has been incarcerated for the past 15 years for first-degree murder and robbery. Sigrid explained how they met: “I started writing to prisoners because I believe in second chances and rehabilitation.” She became Alan’s penpal, only looking to be his companion, however, after conversing for months, their relationship began to evolve. “When I started to realise that I was having feelings for him, and him for me, we both got scared,” she said. “We tried to stop writing to each other, [but] we were both miserable. After six weeks, he wrote back - the first words were, ‘I love you'.”

His name is Alan Wade, and he bound and buried an elderly couple alive. When they were discovered by police, the couple had broken out of their binds but were only able to hold each other before dying. They died of suffocation. Alan Wade had time to think about what he was doing to this innocent couple while he dropped shovel after shovel full of dirt on them. Truly evil. RIP Carol and Reggie Sumner.

Like, yo, what?! This dude burgled and buried an elderly couple alive for money that never existed. There's multiple true crime docs about this. I don't support the death penalty, but he's on death row for a reason. He's had his sentence commuted to life last year, but this dude still did a monstrous thing for no fucking reason. And he doesn't really seem that sorry for it.
Also her description of their romance/relationship sounds so creepy and dysfunctional. "I was miserable and he was miserable, but we made each other happy." Baby, that happiness is just the same chemicals people get from strangers online when they "like" your photos. This was a man you thought wouldn't/couldn't respond to your letters so when he not only responded, but eventually "reciprocated" your feelings you thought this was love. Bottom line. Seek therapy. Get that baby a real step-daddy. Live a better life.

This channel isn't promoting or normalizing this relationship. They're just trying to show that there are people who marry prisoners and this is a reality for them. I find it fascinating.
Seriously, you can't read about what happened to that poor couple Reggie and Carol Sumners and not feel horrified about what they went through. Those people that did that to that couple are where they need to be. Fancy, calling that man a good person even though he drove the car interstate with the those two innocent people tied up in the back and they just dumped them buried alive and took their money. That man does not derserve a second chance.
It is really sick. It's interesting how she speaks about all of this, though. I know the show is technically about her and her murderer husband, but all I heard was "me me me me me poor me". "People judge my relationship because they don't like me being happy and loved". No girl, they judge your relationship because you decided to be with a cold blooded murderer. If she actually cared about Carol and Reggie, she would've given them they attention they deserve in this story as the victims that they are. You can tell that even though she seems nice, she's pretty narcissistic and all she cares about is herself, so I think maybe they are actually meant for each other.

That to me isn’t even the weirdest part (though yes it is weird). But the weirdest part to me is how you could possibly love someone who brutally murdered two innocent people. It would be one thing if they had a relationship before this happened, but she didn’t know him until he was already in prison. How could you fall in love with someone knowing they did something like this?

I know the name of the channel is "Love Don't Judge", but I do. This woman is bored, fantasizing about a more exciting life. It's like those women who sent letters to Ted Bundy. She has hybristophilia, a type of paraphilia that affects women, causing them to feel attracted to delinquent and murderous men. The only sensible people in this video are her family who she pretends not to understand their rejection. This man is where he is because HE chose to be. Second chances are in other contexts like theft, I don't know. But, I'm in favor of the death penalty because: If you took someone's life, it's fair that you lose yours too. How crazy. Poor this child. And you who's defend him: imagine the victim's family seeing this video, this guy laughing and happy. Imagine the victim being someone you love. So you decided to become a single parent to a person who will never be released. So he will never be able to support you and this poor child. You pour so much into these inmates, you could’ve pour into your child and yourself. Lack of self love, plenty of good men around and you chose to make you and your child’a life harder for some attention and validation from a man IN PRISON. The abuse gave me many years of agony, until I surrendered my life to the Lord, and found myself in harmony.
Finally I understood that He always had loved me, and He had felt the pain I felt ; that made my heart melt.
He helped me to forgive the abusers, as His love for me changed my heart for real, and He little by little the wounds would heal.
Today, my heart aches for those who have gone through the same, and thought it was some adult's game.
I pray for them with deep compassion and sorrow, as I hope for them a better tomorrow ; and that they will turn to the Lord with all their agony, as He is the only One who can give them harmony!

That's his son. After rewatching it and doing some research, the implication is that a guard was paid off to turn a blind eye - which is why she refuses to divulge how the child was conceived.
