It’s really sad that you pay that kind of money for the Haven and you have your own private pool area and stuff in the courtyard and you can’t even enjoy it because of the noise when your thought they would’ve thought about that for me personally it wouldn’t be worth paying the extra money that’s the whole point of being in the Haven is having a private courtyard
@@FrequentFloaters Really thorough and well narrated video ! I do see the area you pointed out as their Haven smoking section however I can't tell whether this is on the port or starboard side. I am looking at booking a Haven 2 bedroom penthouse on the 16th floor and want to ensure I select a room on the opposite side of this smoking section - even with several floors in between - I hate cig or cigar smoke (pipes are OK LOL !) @@marciasanguinetti3900 - Thanks. Keep in mind the EPIC HAVEN was refurbished in 2020 and updated. You will not smell smoke from any cabin as the smoking area is up on POSH or was before the referb. I can not wait to sail it again and see the updates (they look amazing on NCL.com)!
@@FrequentFloaters Thanks again Rene for your knowledge on the Epic and it's 2020 refurb. I hunted down some pictures online and it appears that most if not all of the refresh was focused in their Haven public areas as well as all the Haven suites regardless of category. They are beautiful albeit totally reconfigured without the rounded aspect of its former days. Not sure if die-hard Epic fans will like them as much, but regardless, the Epic has in my opinion the BEST Haven area on all their ships with the Bliss, Joy and Encore coming in a close 2nd due to their massive front lounge area and wow-factor top deck with 2 huge Jacuzzi's, I hope you are soon sailing on NCL and perhaps the Epic - we are looking at a Transatlantic cruise in (I think) Nov. of '22 from London to Ft. Lauderdale repositioning per se into the Caribbean. We may even stay on that ship for the later leg too LOL ~~~~ CHEERS and HAPPY SAILING to you and to all ! M.

Is that noise constant? That would be a real bummer after paying all that money. May have to rethink going on the Epic.

I'm going on the Epic Haven next Month and my first cruise, I cannot wait. Your video provided some good insight.
We just spent 7 nights on the Jewel in the 2 br Haven - LOVE! We are about to book the Epic for next winter... once you go Haven...✨
They really dropped the ball on those air vents. The escape haven was much nicer even if smaller

We were on the Epic last year and I don't remember the courtyard being loud then.
the video was taken during a port stop; so maybe the crew turned on the vents to air it out; and turned it off when passengers reboarded
@Tim - It was this bad EVERY day and EACH day. Not just a one off event.
I just got off this ship. It was OK but prolly won't go again.
Whats with the load air vents in the Haven. I sailed Epic twice and there were no loud air vents in the Haven.
I was on the Epic again for the crossing in 2018. Just as loud. They so need to fix this issue but clearly are not going to.
