Just received a mint condition FM (silver/black model) along with a Nikon Motor Drive mechanism and two lenses as a gift from my dad. This is probably one of the best cameras I have ever used. I have a few Minolta SRT cameras that are nice but this is a different bloak altogether. I like your black model. Cheers!
Totally different cameras: metal shutter vs silk, electronic meter vs delicate CdS cells in SRT. Nikon FM is 100% pro whole the SRTs were the most popular 35mm SLRs of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Thanks!
I have the Nikon Z fc (which is obviously designed to look like the FM) and now I want to get an FM so I can shoot film with a camera of a familiar shape. I have a Nikon EM so I’m not new to film but I do like how the Z fc and by extension, the FM, look.
Me too! FM works much better , but I’m so past film. Be sure to use the right lenses for the FM, which are manual focus at www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/nikkor.htm#mf Thanks!
Great as always, man! Love Nikon.
Thank you!
Hi Ken, great Camera it looks like the Nikon F2. Very nostalgic thanks Ken 😊
Quite different from the F2 which is larger and has interchangeable finders. Loads of details about the F2 starting at www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/f2.htm
