    Static tips make some string follow happen but it's a good thing. It smooths out the draw. The deflex reflex design in modern longbows is aimed at replicating this effect.

    45# at 28" is pretty good! I love the Moose antler tips and the Caribou rest, nice details. Red Oak works well for longbows too. Nice job overall. Skal

    What is the lifespan on a red oak bow?

      Decades or more. I’ve never had a bow break after the first few shots. If they break I made a mistake in the build. I suppose it could rot if I left it out in the rain though.
