Beautiful bow! Great video and so happy to see your channel growing so well. You deserve it - we love watching you follow your passion and way of life!
I'm becoming a quick fan of yours. I'm not a bow hunter and I'm not a bow maker, but I'm starting to love your videos. Sadly I missed your last giveaway. I'm going to keep an eye out for your next one. Please keep me in mind. Keep making videos. I'll keep watching thank you
Really very good detail. You did things and showed that I haven’t seen before and other videos. I believe you put a lot of heart and thought and every little sex of the video.
Well done, Sir. I also like that log cabin you have in the video while making The Ultimate Hunting Bow. I learned a lot and I greatly appreciate you sharing your wisdom and experience.
Such a beautiful bow! I love how you personalized it. I have done similar things on rifle stocks I've made. Hickory is supposed to be excellent bow wood. I like your outdoor workshop and cabin. Is this next to your home or did you purchase some remote land?
@@Benjamin.stevens That would be neat if you could pull it off. I think there are a few on the Kenai Peninsula but I don't know if they are grandfathered in or not. I remember reading ADN articles about miners exceeding their rights by trying to live in them full time or something like that.
There is a program for staking recreational cabins for Alaskan residents. It will likely be up north, not on the peninsula. Every year they stake a different area.
@@Benjamin.stevens I heard about that. The land they listed was very difficult to get to without a plane. Alaska has plenty of cheap parcels but most are very swampy or difficult to access. It's amazing how much quality land costs these days.
I’m still tuning it so it’s been adjusted a bit. But the longer the string is in contact with the arrow the faster the bow shoots, so I do tend to string my bows pretty low. I also find it’s quieter at low brace nights. The main draw back is it’s unforgiving to form mistakes and wrist slap if I go too low.
The bow draws evenly because the recurves are static. I added just enough so that neither recurve uncurls as I draw it back. I also adjusted everything in a final tiller check so it would be perfect.
You're not just a craftsman, you're an artist!
Watched all your videos today, both my kids and I, we have enjoyed them immensely. Thank you.... Can't wait for more.....keep them coming.

It’s at home. Long term I want to stake a claim for a trapping cabin

Nice work! Do you ever seal the wood?
Yeah, spar urethane usually.
Really nice bow . Question, why is the brace height so low?

I also find it’s quieter at low brace nights. The main draw back is it’s unforgiving to form mistakes and wrist slap if I go too low.
did you add osage to only one end? it doesn't make the draw uneven?
The bow draws evenly because the recurves are static. I added just enough so that neither recurve uncurls as I draw it back. I also adjusted everything in a final tiller check so it would be perfect.
Always wishing I cut staves last year…
