I've had my 2024 Megane e-tech for a few month now and really love it. When it first released in the UK (2022) it was quite expensive. Recently, Renault lowered the price but deleted a few of the extras that came standard. The newer models now have a bigger entertainment screen as fitted to the left hand drive version.
That's good to read, I am going today to order my new Megane e-tech, I much prefer the gorgeous electric scenic however I do not want to pay the price tag. Can't wait to sign later today. Only downside (typical female observation) is there are so few colours to choose from.
@rorist Thank you for replying. That's the one I ordered. I hadn't seen the red anywhere and the dealers had just got it in for a customer. It is beautiful. I initially wanted black as it's been about 16 years from I had a black car..but... I wouldn't have been able to get it until June or later. Dealer said huge issue getting the black one. So opted for the red as the only ones I see about town are the granite grey (too boring). Even the red I won't be able to get it until the end of Feb, beginning of March at the earliest.
The sound adjustment icon (sliders) is available in all sources except CarPlay. Shame aus don’t get the full Google OS or higher trim level. Is the scenic coming to aus?
Yes, here in Australia we will always get the dummed-down version. Our so-called tech version has had at least half of the tech features stripped out... Living in the boon-docks...
If you started driving on the right side of the road, i.e. left-hand drive, then all versions other than the lowest equipped version "Equillibre" would have a 12" center screen. Right-hand drive Meganes are only made with the small 9" screen. I have driven a top of the range Iconic for a good 2 years, and I still think it is the best car in its class.
they spoiled the design with this dougnut, my 10 years old Megane looks slicker and even an eye catcher still today compared to most of these EVs designed by Disney Studious. My old one looks more aerodynamic, it is lower, longer and more fluid from any angle you look. I am still of the opinion that people do not buy EVs because they look bizzare and not nicer than their conventional cars. Tesla sells well not because it is a great and reliable car, it is becasue it looks like a conventional car with a serious appereance, controversionally better than some conventional cars.
Err - No. I like the look but not the price of the Megane. Decisions for car preference are complex. How they drive, the technology they offer and the comfort all count. The things which would rule out the Megane from my shopping list are the front wheel drive, no electric seats at that price point? (Yeah right!) Battery size? Small rear seats. But mostly the overall value proposition.

@@lochamb1234 I have the fire red one, not seen any on the road yet, it's gorgeous.

As Megane E Tech owner I think this is a very balanced and fair review. We absolutely love ours, perfect for a family of 4.
Thank you for watching!
I would suggest to volume down the background music, the whole watching experience could be better then.

If they introduce V2G I would be interested.

New RHDs come with big screen now. Making my 2022 model ‘old’.
The audio controls are the same as my MY 2000 Clio!
I loved my 2024 Megane... Until it spat the gearbox all over the road last night @ just over 6k miles 😭😭
Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Won't have that problem in the electric version :)
@4wheelsandaseat this was the electric version 😂😂
