Yes, I totally agree. At least he got the review right - "...Conti's gp5000s are not coming off his bike...". If he didn't get it right, then his credibility would be suspect.
I race a gravel bike with 47mm Pathfinder Pro's, and over the Winter i had a custom Chris King wheelset built for road training and group rides with GP5000 AS TR in.... Wait for it.... 700x35. Love it. I can stay on the bike all day long.
The Rubino’s are a mid price training tire. The Conti GP 5000 is a top of the line racing tire. Hardly a good comparison! The Vittoria Corsa would be a better comparison. Road tubeless is a pain in the a**! Stan’s? It’s about effective as water!
I run the GP 5000s on my rim brake Zipp 404 nsw wheel set for years. They are fast tires course. It’s tricky getting them comfortable with air pressure for a 25 c size. Yes the rear tends to bounce if inflated to 90 psi and beyond not much I can do with installing wider tires now with a 11 year old Trek Madone. I have the Rubino pros on my fixed gear track bike with a newly installed tubeless type aluminum wheel set what is going on with why tubeless tires fits so incredibly tight and hard to get the last bead on ? I’m not running the track fix gear bike tubeless but have tubes. Yeah they do feel a bit soft these tires the Rubinos but I dread getting a flat and having to dismount these tight fitting tubeless tires these days running an innertube. I’ll just walk home. I don’t wanna maintain too many bikes that are tubeless specially if they dry up and maybe I don’t ride the bike but maybe once or twice a month .
These tires are NOT in the same category. GP 5000 is a race tire. Rubinos are training tires. No surprise at all that the Contis were faster and felt better. Comparing Conti to the Corsa Pro or at least Corsa NEXT would be more of a like-for-like.
Totally agree, but the goal here was to see if the Rubinos could punch above their weight. I thought they would right up until that moment I rode down the driveway. Then it was clear the 5k’s were in a different league.
Thanks for calling that out - the goal here was to see if the Rubinos could punch above their weight. I thought they would right up until that moment I rode down the driveway. Then it was clear the 5k’s were in a different league.
Comparing GP5000's and Rubino's is like comparing Porsches and Camrys

I agree but to a degree because if they compared GPs to Corsas or even NEXT then Vittoria score would be even lower due to poor puncture resistance
@@stephenchu1115hahahaha so good 😅 hurt my wrist once trying to mount/dismount those dang Contis
You must think a Camry is a car brand. 🤦🏼
Can’t compare GP 5000 to Rubinos, you have to compare them to the Vittoria Corsa Pro, compare the top to the top
Pirelli P Zero race compared to Conti’s?
Conti vs Vittoria debate is greater than rim brakes vs disc brakes.

Continental GP5k !! No turning back for me 🤘🏻
for those Enve wheels you can only put max 73PSI for the conti if im not mistaken since the wheels are hookless
P-Zero Race RC vs GP 5000 is the question?
Good backstory by Andy. Would be good to compare with the vitorria corsa graphine too.
ANDYYYY!!!!!!!!!
Juuuuaaaannnn! 😂
Great videos. Keep them coming
Competitive Cyclist, i just subscribed
Reno NV-goathead nightmare! Rocking Rubino Pros TL for that reason.
Need a skid test to see if they explode.
On it!
Nice video, but the corsa next would have been a more direct comparison.
But which version of GP5000 did you use?? TR, S TR, TT TR? Regular?
These were the S TR’s.
why it is gp5000str vs rubino pro g2.0 tubeless......
With no goatsheads here would the findings still be conti with tubes for 28c.
5000 rule the streets ... but if you really wanna go fast ... listen to our race mixtapes !!!
you are not comparing like for like here
Next GPs versus P Zero

Why don’t you compare Rubin’s Pro with a mid-range, comparably priced Continental tire? Bogus review.
Thanks for calling that out - the goal here was to see if the Rubinos could punch above their weight. I thought they would right up until that moment I rode down the driveway. Then it was clear the 5k’s were in a different league.
Bro you compare top tier racing tire to sam crap mid tier vittoria model
The corsas are even better than the gp5000s
Such a bad review 😂that it might be better titled Conti GP5k ad. Btw I ride gp5k’s you just compare lemons to watermelon
What are u smoking. Use the corsa pro
