Dominant performance. Race winning move at 7:36. You can see and hear the St Cath’s Stroke calling for a push at the Mile mark, boat speed comes up by 0.7km/hr.

These two wonderful rowing schools are sadly drawn against each other first off in this year's PP Challenge Cup! It's going to be a thriller but this Brit will be backing WP to win. It would be great to see them go all the way.

Well done St Catherine's--awesome race. A special well done to Winter Park--Scholars and nearly world champions. You've come a long way since our fledgling days with Coach Jack Lyden out of the old Rollins College boat house! WPHS '68, V-8, #5...

St Catherines crew = definition of row like sh*t but strength will get you through

Man, I don't know what you're talking about - St.Cathernes rowing style is just insane! They didn't win because of the strength, they won because of the technique and they settled an aggressive rhythm throughout the race. Notice how St Catherine's called 1 lift in the race. Winter Park Crew called so many Power 5's along with 10's it burned them out and honestly stroke seat of WPC looked burned out approaching the first 250m mark.

I don’t think you have ANY knowledge on rowing. You simply can’t win with just strength. You need technique, tactics AND strength to win like that.
Perhaps a WPC parent?? A bit of jealousy and sourness in the air🤷‍♀️

@@cccddd977 they have a record holder for a 2k and have only been sweeping for less than a a year. Strong people + probably not so good technique= exactly what the other guy said. That’s not to say that they did not do well. Congrats to them.
