If planning to visit NYC, go to the Transit Museum in downtown Brooklyn or the MTA Gift Shop in Grand Central Station, Manhattan. You may find these model trains. 🙂
Joe out did himself with this new layout as his previous layout was superb and to die for as he's the undisputed KING of O-scale NYCTA subway model layouts as he builds everything from scratch (kit bashed) including the tunnel signals. Just brilliant indeed!
NONE of the 'newest' subway models are available and haven't been for YEARS from MTH or even Lionel. Believe me, Joe, myself and all of the other O-scale subway modelers have wanted the newer trains as models all the way up to the R211, but that hasn't happened yet and probably will not for a variety of reasons...
Can’t even fit this in my house 😂
The thirdrail is the complete piece of this detail work 👌
So cool I thought it had a roof

as someone who lives in Manhattan, i’ve seen these trains plenty of times before.
I’ve loved trains and tracks since I was young😊
Nice the R1! A very good celebration.
Beautiful recreation, coming from a former NYer! I wish we could buy MTA trains in N scale!
The intimate rushhour...
Those trains had the odor of axle grease back in the 1970's when they were taken out of service.
THAT'S what I vividly remember about riding the R9 the smell and the noise or sounds it made!
@@bhigdaddymark And the "humming" sound it made at the station stops.
Very cool! Great attention to detail!
Deadass I was like "AND HERE COMES A GIANT FIST-"
Me:sees the train coming my way * my brain: STAY

As a follower of the British Rail Network I loved finding out about your subway system
LOVE the British rail network! I model OO-GAUGE too and the London Underground S-Stock set is my favourite!
YO, THIS is SOOOO COOL. Could you do a mini 84 KING STREET (Before the remodeling)

1. A lot of time and patients to do all that.
2. Must have been a pretty penny to get that particular train model. 😁👍🚉
