The world (my world anyway) needs a Streamliner or Electromatc Billy Bo.

      - You won't regret, that's for absolute sure! I have an older Electromatic, and well familiar with a few of them. Fenomenal, and for the price it is truly a gift. Even comparable with the more expensive models, not to mention that it's very easy to upgrade them -for example with original TVJones pickups, or almost whatever that you would like.
Anyway, later on I really would like to have a player level one, probably you will too.

For what it's worth I would like to see more options available with the Filtertrons over the broadtrons even if it meant paying a bit more. They are just a much better sounding pickup.

I like the 2022 G2655T so much I bought three. One has the P90s, other BT2s , the last I'll put TV Jones Classics in.

I absolutley love your guitars but I do wish there was a full sized center block with a single cutaway. Personally I'd love one with the V-stoptail and a set of Filtertrons over the broadtrons. That's just me and my preferences, I'm probably weird.

Hey guys, love what you're doing! Is there going to be a G 5420t in black? I'm pretty excited for the future thanks to your beautiful and classy creations. And that is not a small thing to achieve (especially in these times) . Thank you!

  • @yodasecondave

It's a little frustrating that some colors are not available across the same guitar - for example between the 5622 with the V-stop and 5622T. If I want it in Midnight Sapphire I have to get the bigsby. Seems weird I cant get the 5622 in the same colors as the 5622t.

Though it's only aesthetics, the "Scallop" pick guard looks better than the Jet-Style "Teardrop."
On a budget guitar it isn't made of as nice a material as the more expensive ones, but the shape is more complimentary.

  • @heli0s101

The only reason I'd ever think of buying a non-Gretsch guitar is because I'm vain and want a V shape for metal. But even then, the first solid body I'm buying is a Jet.

This comment may be a little out of place but has anyone in the comments section tried to contact Gretsch lately. On 11/17 I have tried calling them to get a part number verification for my 1998 Duane Eddy 6120DEO and have waited on the line for 20 plus minutes and no one answers the phone. The new guitars above look nice but you might think twice before buying one thinking about any problems that you might have and know that no one in the organization that knows how to answer the phone. I am sure the authorized dealers will most likely have the same problem. I sent them an email stating my problem and the response was that they would respond in 5 days.

None of you demonstrators play a Gretsch the way it is supposed to be played. Duane Eddy, Cliff Gallup, Eddie Cochran( despite that p90). We want twang and quack from Gretsch! Those Broadtron Pickups sound nothing like a Gretsch. Give us a version of the Dynasonic pickups in the more affordable models! It is like Gretsch has cut the balls off its pickups. The word sweet should never appear in the same sentence with Gretsch!
Man, IF IT DON’T HAVE THAT TWANG, IT DON’T MEAN A THANG.
At least let us hear the single coil sound on the Streamliners with that horrid broadtron pickup. Even your current Filtertrons used in the high end models has been emasculated.

I hit the wrong button, sorry, but to continue, the original pickups looked and sounded great, and that V shaped tailpiece belongs on a car, not a Gretsch guitar! It seems you want to tap into a cheaper market, and that's business, and these guitars may have the Gretsch name on the head, but they're a poor substitute for the Gretsches I know and admire. I probably sound like a snob, and that's probably true, and that's okay! Cheers! 😀
