I've been playing and buying countless guitars since the mid-1970s and I have a collection I'm very proud of at this point in my life. And I will say, the recent cheap Gretsch guitars are so far above their pay grade that it's just shocking. I have two Electromatics in my collection that I often choose over guitars costing nearly ten times as much. The playability and tones are just outstanding. And the looks are just a bonus. Great guitars for beginners and pros. Unmatched bang for the buck.

It would be nice if Rob would change up the playing a little, and try to be more diverse. He's quite capable, but I think he's gotten a bit 'comfortable'. At least for showcasing gear....obviously the challenge videos and what not, it doesn't matter so much.

I know right. It's embarrassingly amazing how they can jam complement each other's riffs so quickly and cleanly. Imagine if they cut and instrumental jam album together. We'd play it in the shop for customer background music for sure.

Bugger me! That sounded absolutely fabulous.
EDIT: by the way I have a 6119 Tennessee Rose and would consider adding the green centre block Rabea was playing for a different flavour.

They've done it! I don't believe the jams in this vid will ever be topped! Stellar playing, and those Gretsches sound beautiful! I know what's going on my birthday wish list this year.

Because of this video and the sound Rabea got out if it, I went and played a G5220 Electromatic Jet. Bought one in Jade Grey Metallic. Absolutely fantastic guitar. Plays and sounds amazing and feels super-solid. I highly suggest playing one if you see one in the store. The G5220 is a really nice guitar.
