  • When learning a character in any game, we usually learn the basics and overtime of countless games, start to discover and implement answers to very niche situations. Mastering a character requires us to know a lot about how to get the most out of even "bad" situations, so I thought it would be great to break down how we can learn and master these just by thinking and labbing our characters, instead of having to play thousands of games to learn them.

Even when you technically know this concept, just seeing affirmation, deep explanations and examples of it can still help put your mind in the right place to continue improving.
    Excellent video!

Theory crafting is a lot of fun but not very often you find people discussing it as clearly as you. Thank you!

Glad RUclips recommended this to me, i crossed into plat 5 and i keep going into these losing streaks resulting in me getting downgraded to plat 4. I always felt super predictable when playing footsies and I started to get discouraged and think that this is the peak of my skills. This video set off a lightbulb in my head, and I hope practicing these concepts will result in me hitting diamond 1 some day

Good luck, and I appreciate the comment!
There's a lot to these games that can take a while for it to "click", but you can definitely keep improving! I've also had a lot of stretches where I felt like I couldn't learn much more but it's almost never true haha.
I can guarantee you'll think back in like 2 months and realize you've got way better, it's just hard to realize the small improvements in the moment.

Yeah and I know the concept because I play Zangief, but my problem is that my opponents aren't afraid of my moves, they don't respect the spacing they just go for it. Especially if they play Modern because then they don't have to worry about execution or buffering. They don't respond to my spacing or mind games because they just unga bunga it.
