  • In this video, I go over how to make an advanced stinger hook rig used for slow trolling big live baits! This is a great method to employ when targeting big pelagic fish such as Wahoo, Kingfish (King Mackerel), Sailfish and Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi).

    Hey great video! When we going fishing??? Loved the swivel and fixed "trebs." Do you do that with smaller baits too? (normal gogs)

      @LandsharkOutdoors  7 лет назад +7

      You tell me! And yes with gogs but only one treb. +Darcizzle Offshore

    Great vid! I was runni g this exact setup but we landed a bunch of 10+lb Bonita so my trailing hooks (I had pre-made for 5 pounders) were too short and I ended up getting a bunch bitten off, tails gone, no hookups. That front swivel is clutch, great call. You kick ass bro!

    That’s interesting. I would not have thought to wire up the trailing trebles stiff like that with single strand wire. I normally let the trailing hooks swing free in a haywire loop so that the wire doesn’t get worked back & forth causing a “kink off”. So far, I have only tried stiff leg rigs with either stranded wire or with shrink tube over the haywire loop. I’ll have to try it your way & see what happens.

    The small swivel will break on a decent fish. Lets say a big shark marlin etc. Using a big circle for the main hook allows for hookups in the corner of the mouth which allows you to release if you wish.
    Cheers

    Great video dude! Have you ever caught a wahoo on that bonita? I am from Panama and ussually fish in the Pacific side. Normally we tried to catch Wahoo on HST but generally catch small ones or nothing and it's not light tackle friendly. I live pretty near of an amazing Wahoo island. When I am snorkeling I see some huge Wahoo around 60 pounds and some day's a couple near of 100. But never catch those big ones. So I'll try with live Bonitas. Thanks for the video.

    much like how we rig baits to troll for pike in Europe just we would use one piece of wire and just rap it, so goes from swivel to the single then Raped and goes out back of single to treble or sometimes 2 trebles and no single much same just not separate wire, but why u rigged that looks perfect
