Hi! My name is Tim The Lawnmower Man and I love to clean up overgrown yards and make fun videos doing it. I'm able to do them for free as these videos have ads on them and the revenue from that enables me to cover my cost.
I'm always looking for the worst yards around. Sometimes I drive around looking for them, sometimes viewers send me suggestions.

Huge yard to maintain. Feel bad for people who cannot cleanup their yard due to age and health. Most everyone hates to have their yards overgrown. You do such a great service to these people. ❤

Loved seeing the properties later. I really like this Vlog, Tim. Congrats Patty! Girl Power!! I get lawn equipment or kitchen appliances for my birthday/anniv. That's what I want more than jewelry or going out to eat. Flowers are okay if I can plant them in the yard. Our son gave me a Canna for Mother's Day 15 years ago. Now, 1/4 of my big back rock bed is Cannas from that one plant. God is good!
Hopefully the council will hear what you said about putting 2 homes on that block. Makes heaps of sense.

Tim, I spent two days cutting and cleaning up a yard in May of 23 and I saw it the other day. It’s worse than it was before I cut it, it was kind of depressing haha. I’m gonna go back and bust it up again.

Public housing has to cater for a variety of people’s reasons for the need and family sizes. Units don’t always suit. I worked in mental health and ran a garden group (around growing veggies etc) in a community garden plot. There was always a need for garden maintenance but were not permitted to help out. You know, liability, insurance, outside job description, outside funding yadda, yadda. A couple of weed clean ups were done on the quiet with the group members helping out the client in need. They did get something out of assisting someone else connected through mental health with the organisation and learning about what is and isn’t a weed for example. Hopefully it may have instilled the idea of working more in their own gardens. Hey, always rules!

Tim i agree with your idea on that property, demolish it and build two smaller ones . Much easier to maintain. Great vlog even though you didnt cut any grass.

I am sure it comes down to money! I have a good buddy that has several other properties that he rents out and in a couple of cases he wanted to replace a house with 1 home with a duplex or 4 units but the local zoning laws kept him from improving his property and creating more housing for more people with smaller yards! Easy maintenance is so important for older and disabled renters! Thanks for sharing your clean-up adventures!

I am glad you have empathy as I have mental health issues as well as physical disabilities and know first hand what it's like when it comes to lawns and housing. I do it all myself, can't afford to hire someone. When you're in housing you're just a number, they constantly change area workers so if you have known problem you have to constantly tell the new officer what is wrong, bring them up to scratch. Not always easy. They simply don't read your profile! Thank you for you good work and understanding of what can/be wrong for people.

definitely a mental health issue. I can 100% agree there. I used to care a lot about the state of my lawns until my own breakdown. now I just don't care much anymore and financial issues have prevented me from getting on top of it again. Now I am at the point where I am to exhausted mentally to even try. Keep it up Tim, you're awesome

The one where there is an eviction, still shows your work. You said it was wet. Overall, coming back and doing a touchup still adds to momentum in the neighborhood and perhaps for the owners/renters.

You can only do so much Tim. The important thing is giving them a chance as you say. Totally agree wrt MH. Its not lazy, just overwhelming for anyone who struggles with depression of medical conditions. Its a big credit to you that you can put your skills out there. New one for you Random Job Monday. Hi Tim. Love your vlogs and the kindness you show to people who need help. I am in a similar position. I live alone, am almost 70, have depression and have had a lot of lawnmower businesses mow my backyard over the past 5 years. However, for some reason they either don’t come back, rip me off or I have to chase them. I don’t ask for much - there is only 1/2 a backyard as the grass doesn’t grow under the trees, and the nature strip (fortunately a neighbour mows it for me). Maybe the job isn’t big enough!! I am not a lazy person but it seems, these days, it is difficult to get anything done. This is just a rant. Keep up the good work. The world needs good people like you. 💕
Hey Tim, Love your videos. If you watermark your videos, it won't necessarily stop fake accounts from getting created, but it makes it easier for you to prove to RUclips, that someone else stole your content. I hope this helps to ease the frustration.

Didn't rain down here this weekend, Not a Stinker but up about 30 so I spent the afternoon evicting some Redbacks from my back porch...
then hosing away webs & pretending it was raining on me to cool down 😂
I help the elderly in my area.. one of them have a big block. I had to stop because my equipment is broke so I'm trying to save up for new equipment
It doesn’t hurt to have a day doing nothing, all batteries need to be recharged !! 👍👍👍🇬🇧

Chance to revisit is good but you can only give people a hand up, if they choose to keep up with it that's then on them
It's not always depression or disability. Some people are just lazy.
I imagine the Department doesn't want to go through the hassle of the approvals by local council to rezone the property for duplex units, particularly if the house is in an area where other houses are privately owned, potentially leading to local resident objections to the change. The property might be nominally tagged for a larger family in the Department's system.
I wouldn't be surprised if Department staff might have even suggested it, but if they don't have established policies for making such changes, the staff likely don't have the time or patience to push such an approach through given the red tape involved.
