I just watched a review on this light yesterday. Well done, but with too much fluff. Four or five different dramatic lit angles in a row with no talking, but the light slowly rotating. Had to wait for the dramatic shots to end to get more info about it. I AM SO GLAD to see today YOUR review. No fluff. Here's what there is to know about it. Here's what your experience with it was like. Here's your thoughts on it. THANK GOD! Thank you for the way you do these reviews. Looking forward to the next one!

Love your review! I am currently own a Nanlite FS-300B, and I find it hard to boom it because it is pretty heavy. G200 might be an answer for this, but still, I'm waiting for the next light from Zhiyun that has the same power with all the portable alterative power supply option. They probably name it X200.

I also bought Zhiyun G200 recently, and found that there is a problem with the G200 Bowens mount.
It cannot be installed with other brands of Bowens mount accessories, such as Godox VSA-36K and SMDV softbox, and can only barely fit the original reflector.
    Have you encountered this problem?
Can you fit your Zhiyun G200 with Godox VSA-36k spotlight mount?

I have the G200 and the Amaran 150, and for some reason, I like the G200 vs the Amaran when I use 5600 or 6500K with the Glow difusser, obviously very portable but without V mount is the only cons I could found it too. Well I waiting that light but RGB version, maybe G200R? Have a good one.

Heya (Really searched your name everywhere but didn't found it, seems intentional?) anyways hehe
Loved the vídeo, as other already pointed out you talked about points other people haven't and that was nice!
I've been thinking of doing some vídeos like this myself, but haven't been able to get up and actually do it and I know how hard all the steps can be and how much time consuming doing all of this is.
Having only the best intentions here I'm going to mention a few things that I hope can help you make even better vídeos in the future!
    - You talked about the noise, but giving us an recording of maybe a dialog with it at a certain distance, something more like a real use scenario you know?
    - About the cable length since you talked about it being a tad short, you probably noticed it while using, maybe showing that happening in a stand or something would make a very nice clear image of how it could be for us in similar situations, using it in a C stand or something hanging above you/table etc (I guess you mentioned you have a C stand right? I my self didn't got to that point yet, they seem to be loved by everyone but they're kinda too big and expensive thus probably not a great fit for me yet....)
    Now a legitimate question:
In the outside demo clip with the light. Did your ND filter got to its limit? Couldn't you get it darked and made the light brighter to make a correctly exposed background and subject?
All ready watched a bunch of your videos and loved it. hope you keep only getting better and getting us that sweet well done content! 🤟

In the comparison with the Amaran 60d at 6:52 - The image on the left (Amaran 60d) has a lot more detail than the image on the right (Molus G200x) - Is this due to the quality of the light or something else?
Also would you recommend the Amaran 60d over the Molus 200x for a portable but high quality light?

So you pulled a Dave Altizer. :) He actually burnt his winter coat with the X100 when he put it under his arm for a second. This IS a pretty powerful light, especially in that max mode. It held up pretty significantly to my Nanlite FS-300B. I love the form factor, but they seem pretty risky as far as setting things like your house or yourself on fire. Hopefully this will not come back to bite them. Like with any light fixture...Use caution kids.

Obviously it’s great because it is compact. So awesome! But a loud fan is not desirable at all. Having a hot iron-like surface is bad too. I’ve heard that cheaper portable LED lights can degrade in light accuracy, if they get too hot (don’t use them at 100%). I’d worry about this happening to this very hot light too.

    • @FellowFilmmaker
      @FellowFilmmaker  11 месяцев назад +1

I can’t see how saving a few inches in size outweighs
the lack of a batteey and MAX ‘fire’ mode?

It's common to have high temps in high output lights. I was simply adding warning so others are aware to keep that in mind if they aren't used to high output lights

Exciting product. Unfortunately, it needs portable power options (v-mount/gold mount), and some basic effects would also be nice (I'm thinking fire emulation in particular would be really nice)
