My husband delivers meals. He gets fit, meets people, gets off his ass. He had a lot of shame at first but the bills needed to be paid, so you swallow your pride. He now is adjusted to reality and has gotten several other side gigs so you do what you have to do. Over 60s do not get jobs, ever. Food delivery has saved many from poverty. He was accosted by a snobby couple who said, “we pity you for having to do this type of work.” He just turned to them and said, “Why? I get fit, I meet people, and I am self-sufficient.” You earn and learn.

There's 2 videos Susan made in the 2000's I think when she had dreadlocks and was always cooking soup which I would love to watch again. The first is called - "Eat a Pear". Its so fun to hear her talk about eating an organic pear! The second video is when she is eating a salad in the bathroom while doing laundry in the tub. That time period when she was sharing about eating healthy food was really raw and genuine. All I could think is how much her truth was pissing off the corporations. She has some serious courage.

Oh my goodness. Just yesterday, I was thinking about how she changed my life. I learned how to read the nutrition label on food in the grocery store from her. I also learned the difference between satiation foods, like a potato, and low association foods with the same calories- in other words if you eat potato, even though it’s the same calories as the candy bar, you’re gonna stay longer with the potato. I think she changed the food world in America for many of us. I do wish she had benefited from that, but I do know she has given so much.

I made $2,200 delivering Uber Eats in about 42hrs one week in Arizona. Yes, you heard that right: ONE WEEK. If you know what you're doing, you can do well with delivery. Be smart and pick your deliveries in areas where you get decent tips from people who appreciate you using your car to cruise for 8 to 10hrs/day all over the city thru crazy traffic. For that, you can get paid well. Stay out of areas known to not appreciate drivers (no tips). They can go get their own food. They have that right.
