    Great excellent video TK Bay 👍 I'm a long time subscriber you do great videos man 👍 I got the Pixel 7a fully unlocked version Friday in the mail in the exclusive Coral color. The Pixel 7a is a major major step above my Motorola edge 2022 that I was using since December 2022. All in all I like the Pixel 7a alot it takes great excellent photos and is an all around way better phone when compared to my last phone Motorola edge 2022. I was looking at buying the Motorola edge 2023+ but the camera is not up to par to the flagship phones like Pixel 7 series, Samsung Galaxy s23 series and iphone 14 series, OnePlus 11 series etc. This Pixel 7a is the best phone that I ever bought!!!

    I bought it cuz of plastic and size. It's far away from IP mini, but still more comfy in a hand than regular P6. Furthermore, I hate these slippery glass backs, so plastic cover is something on a positive side as well.

    TK, just some constructive feedback on your style of reviewing. You're information delivery is extremely fast and I've watched for years so I've come to expect that but I'm not sure if you're target audience are enthusiasts or also general consumers but i have ro say the fact that I sometimes struggle to keep up with the high rate you're going through specs and features, I can't imagine how a regular consumer would keep up. I get that this is your style but maybe think about slowing down a bit. I've caught incorrect information in your reading of specs in the past and you had a slip up here also in the RAM figure of the 7a comparing it to the 7/7 Pro and i rhink that's partially due to the fast delivery of information. I like you and Juan Bagnell, I'm also a local LA native and like supporting you both, you two are some of the longest serving members of the tech covering industry but in all honesty I enjoy how Juan does his video presentations more.

    So TK, gotta do a long post here.
    In one of your livestreams last year, we disagreed about the idea of Google killing of the smaller flagship. I think its in Google's best interest to merge the A line into the smaller flagship. I think 3 phones - a small, a large screen and a fold is somthing they can get away with.
    I'd keep the small at that $500 point. Use the A line design. Make it plastic. Slightly slower charging speeds. 6.1" 90HZ screen. 128 +8GB RAM. 3 colors. But I'd put the bigger main sensor in there that's in the Pixel 7. Run sales like they normally do.
    For the pro, make it glass, 12GB RAM, 6.5" 120HZ screen, 256 or 512GB options. Keep the triple lens setup. Shoot for a $750/$850 price point.
    For the fold, keep doing what they're doing there. But find a way to get to a $1400 price point.
    Then only announce the fold and tablets at I/O, with the phones being a fall launch. Since youre charging the same price point, discontinue the outgoing model instantly once the new one is launched. For the outgoing model, they could do that "keeping stock limited for 60 days" up to the launch date of the new model.
    Point is that Google cannot take an all over the place approach with ohones like they do with their software. Three clear devices...one affordable small phone they can push hard, one mid sized phone enthusiasts and big screen lovers would buy, and one fold for the devs and uber enthusiasts.

    • @droid1appmkr
      @droid1appmkr Год назад +4

      Or they can just simply kill the smaller flagship. keep the A line at the $500 price point with this 64MP main sensor for a while until they're ready to upgrade the main line's main sensor to then put that into the A line. Point is, I don't think it's feasible for Google to keep doing both the A line and the small flagship going forward.

    In my opinion at $499 this isn't a good value. The A series used to be all about giving you a quality Pixel experience for less. When they were $349-399 that was making it worth picking up. But when it's only $100 less than the Pixel 8 may be, then it becomes too expensive for what it is. And at that price if I were looking to upgrade I'd just wait for the Pixel 8.
