You're honestly one of the best fragrance RUclipsrs, I especially appreciate that you divide the fragrances you're talking about in terms of utility and who it is for rather than just using vague words trhoughout the whole video
Prada has some good lineup, eh? I gotta say that none of their fragrances have let me down yet. I'm rocking L'Homme in the office and L'Homme Intense at places where I want to stand out more. These Luna Rossa items also smell very good and are mostly safe.
As a fragrance loving mom who is currently shopping for my 13 year old son's first few fragrances to start his collection, I wholeheartedly appreciate the age group suggestion videos that you kinda have to dig for on YT. Just found your channel after watching so many other reviewers and I feel like I struck gold. Thank you for covering all the bases!
dividing into age groups is tricky when fragrances are the topic. its not like fashion which is much easier to figure out. attitude is more important, i know 50 year olds that put 25 year olds to shame in many areas, and the exact opposite can also be said. i've never liked bubblegum/candy scents, ever. good fragrances smell good, age does not change that one simple fact. great job. i subscribed and look forward to the next edition.
Good video, as a person in the more mature age range, I really like both ombre leather and cedrat boise intense. If it were not the middle of summer I would probably wear them equally, but since it is I find myself wearing the cedrat boise more often. I just like the smell of that stuff. It is not so in your face as Ombre Leather, but still really good for something on the daily. As for the other two brands I am rather new to wearing fragrances and have not found anything in either line to my liking. If you do another one of these videos maybe it would be nice to see Armani, though you could probably pick 3 fragrances out of the Aqua di Gio line.
Awesome vid Omar! Age range is one good descriptor, or grouping that helps in generating that overall picture of a fragrance that hasn't been experienced yet!! Thank you for the info as always!!
@@SchoolOfScent I think production was temporarily halted when YSL was bought by Loreal. I have a 50 ml bottle from 2018 and a 100 ml bottle that is dated to May 2023. Both smell identical, I tested them side by side and I couldn't tell the difference, in terms of scent and longevity. So yet, its alive and kicking!
I’m 25. I own TF “Tobacco Oud”, Nishane “Fan Your Flames” , Orto Parisi “Terroni” amoung others but I also like D&G “Light Blue Intense” , Sauvage and some other “youthful” frags. If something smells nice to me, I will wear it.
Great vid. As someone in their 20's I was already interested in trying some of the ones you recommended for our age range, so I guess it's time to really get some samples of them now. Haha!
Prada LHI is a true unique masterpiece, pure elegance, sad to know that it is very limited supply and that I may not be able to replace it. I place TF OL slightly lower than LHI but O/L much better for me in terms of performance, the only time I have ever spent that much on a scent. I had l'homme ideal extreme on a tester and it is defo on my wishlist which I would get but am a normal guy and 10+ frags is way too many. Recently got Aoud lemon mint as my 1st entry for Mancera (unopened though, will get around to it at some point)
Thanks for giving L'Instant de Guerlain some love. I wore it as my signature for years and still love it. I'm wondering if there is anything else out there that smells similar to it.
Love the content thanks for all the work you put in. With that said, make a Montale buyers guide 🙏 please, there are so many out there and Id love to hear your take on them.
Great video man, keep the series, am 19 and usually the channels of fragrance tend to point at scents that are really mature and they don’t fit me at all lol would apreciate if you make one with Carolina Herrera and Dolce Gabanna!
Don’t let your age keep you away from fragrances. I’m 25 and I own Tobacco Oud for example. People would say, that frag is for 40+ men, wearing a suit. I will rock it this winter as my night “don’t give a F” frag. If you like something that you think is maybe mature, try it on your skin for that day and if you like it, buy it.
Very nice, I would like to see more of the brands classified like this based on your opinion. I am 21, but I wear quite mature perfumery, because my soul is sticked to it. TF for Men EDT, Terre d'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver or Bottega Veneta Pour Homme EDT, these are one of my favs in my wardrobe which I wear with nice sharp looks usually, or leaning casual, but with some nice elegant adds like blazer for example. My recommendation from YVES SAINT LAURENT : 18+ => Y EDP 20+ => Bleu Electrique EDT 30+ => Kouros EDT But I am going to spend money on Kouros EDT and rock this well. If you love classic French perfumery, get this people.
Categorising men’s fragrances with age brackets is not set in stone by any means in my opinion. If you find something you like and want to wear it-wear it. It’s a personal choice at the end of the day. That said, I’m think older more mature guys can probably pull off just about any kind of fragrance, depending on the occasion, event, or setting etc. But, if you’re younger and you admire a classic or mature scent profile, go for it. Like I said, it’s a personal choice what you decide to wear. And a number of factors could sway that decision.
good video as always! got my ombre leather sample, I know the whole point of this fragrance is the leather scent but, for me, there is too much leather scent that just remind me of chemicals :(
Been looking to buy cedrat boise intense but per vid being in the "mature demographic" not sure I should 🤔 .. even though I own TF ombre leather and far from being in my 20 or 30s 😆
I just recently bought a 2018 formulation of L'instant De Guerlain, the same bottle style you were talking of only in an EDP concentration. I must say, in my early 30s, the scent profile is to die for. It's a beautiful, smooth, refined hidden gem but the performance is very similar to an EDT concentration. It quickly becomes a skin scent and the longevity is also just 4 or 5 hours tops. Can anyone tell me if the newer batches with the standardized bottles are any better in performance and does the juice still smell of quality?
I’ve just subscribed as I’m looking to begin my fragrance collection/journey and your content is my favourite out of the RUclips fragrance scene. I did have a question though; howcome all of your fragrances are limited production? Is it an exclusivity thing or is it just because you can’t afford large scale production costs?
Welcome! And it’s an exclusivity thing and to ensure we always stay creative with new releases while not ‘over bloating’ the number of choices Atrium offers :)
@@SchoolOfScent fair enough! Sucks to be someone late to the party though as I would have liked to get your everyday scent! Looking forward to your office one though, hoping for maybe something similar to TF Grey Vetiver
You're the only 1 who apologized for putting men in their 30"s into 1 age range 😂 I always feel old when reviews say oh 30's and up. Dude I'm 35 wtf I'm not that old. Thanks for keeping me young Omar 👍✌️ I also just purchased Abaresque by The Merchant of Venice which I saw you recently reviewed, I think it's an amazinggg alternative if someone finds Tabacco Vanille too harsh. I actually prefer it to TV it's f**kin amazing. Great Vid.
I’m definitely not going to say that about people in their 30s as I’ll be joining that group myself soon 😎 thanks for the kind words, and nice acquisition with Merchant of Venice, we definitely need more plum scents in the market 😁
I recently bought guerlain l homme idesl edp. I thought I bought a fake perfume because after opening the package I saw a gray sticker with white markings on the bottle instead of the standard strip, and the perfume is not intense but edp. Can you tell me what's up with those stickers on the bottle
Great vid Omar! I want something for everyday usage at a desinger budget in uni/office during cold russian winter, which f requently comes with -30 temps. Already have l'homme ideal edp (special occasions, dates) and cool (spring/summer up to 20 degrees), l'eau par kenzo (high heat). What can you reccomend? Thanks a lot!
@@SchoolOfScent Thanks, but unfortunately now its nearly impossible to find prada products in russia (lvmh shortened official imports). I was looking for rochas moustache (lots in stock), spicebomb infrared and guerlain l'homme ideal l'intense (last bottles in my region with normal price). What to consider between these and maybe there are some better options? Thanks a lot!
I’m looking for a sexy designer datenight fragrance that can be used at the office too. Like for example Le Male Le Parfum. Would TF Noir Extreme be a great option to go for? 7-8 hours performance is long enough
Guess I’m going to walk around smelling like a goofball all my life 😂… I like simply wearing what smells good to me. I’m in my mid30s and love a lot of “youthful”, citrusy scents, but I also enjoy niche musky old grandpa scents as well
I guess the purpose of this video is to convince younger guys that they can also use those old man brands? Non of those brands is for teens. Specially not tom ford which is one of the most "grandpa smell" brands out there. I would argue that most of them arent even for guys in their 20's LOl let alone teens.
