It goes a lot faster they got sport mode on the scooter you to unlock it pressing the break and the power button 5 times the scooter will be in sport mode and go around 25 mph
Interested in getting one of these for commuting to and from work, I hear there’s a grey area in terms of legality in the UK, I would be riding in a high vis jacket and a helmet. Would I still be stopped by the police and would it be confiscated, if so I would just stick to peddling my bike.
@@ArthurMorgan1920 hi Arthur they are currently still illegal... stupid nanny state UK laws Legal in the rest of the world ...the transport minister has said they should be legal soon I'm all for them and love them Very unlikely to get stopped Cops know it's a stupid law Buy. @ Thanks for the response Mark, appreciate it. I might consider it just there’s a lot of anti social behaviour involving these type of scooters and e-bikes where I live and don’t ever see them getting stopped or chased, I don’t want to be put in the same category and have it taken off of me 😂 but I’ll see how it goes.
Nice little review, thank you! How has the scooter been holding up the last 2 months? Any battery issues? Can the battery be changed on the fly for longer distances?
How come they changed it I brought an iscooter i9max and this is similar but speed has changed and so have the screen that tells u how fast ur going why did they have to change it
Haha, the last review of yours I saw was the 2018 Speed Triple so just a bit different. Nice little review, shame these are so restricted in where they can be used.
When I bought this scooter the description said that it can go 22mph.but never did and after riding for 3,200 miles for 5 months the motor hall sensor burned out. And it was very slow
Great review. I see these on an arterial bike track through my town and some of the speeds people are going shocks me. In the EU these are quite robustly policed I’ve seen on Spain where idiots are on the walkways. Used responsible I think they are brilliant. Ithink some have passed me at 30+ when IAM on my e bike recording 20 mph. Me pedalling not chipped. Very good value for money. I see a lot of people commuting on them on the track I was on about. Got good lights but so quiet and up to the user on how used.
Hi Mark, l think your having to much fun on the scooter for a serious Motorcycle reviewer the kid is coming out of you big time, l dread the day any type of EV takes the two wheel world over, in Australia the government has said because of our distances and lack of public transport it will be a long time before EVs make a Major foothold in our transport system, you might have too move to Australia to ride petrol bike in the future as the UK is changing too fast, cheers mate, ride safe, Neil 🤠.
Thanks for the comment Neil ...yes it's going to be a while before electric takes over the world but probably be something else like hydrogen by them lol Best wishes mark
I live here in the states but in the past few years I resolved to work local some my job is within a half mile looking now at something like this for the commute. I live in muggy humid Florida so don't want to work up the sweat that is walking at 945am in the morning. But am tired of paying for a vehicle that is not a needed in the house. Wife still will have her car for actual commutes
Correct they aren't legal in the UK yet !!! The government is massively dragging its heals over legislation..they keep on saying that they are gathering data ... what for 4 years ...they are legal in most of the world ...but good old uk government cant make its mind up ....im 100% for e scooters in reducing traffic etc Most police turn a blind eye as long as you are sensible as they know the law is a joke Ps only the rental ones are "legal" Best wishes mark
i made a post on this earlier and mentioned that when i was in York about 6 weeks ago you can pick them up on streets & rent 'em out like boris bikes, so the york council are complicit in sanctioning them in this case. we were walking home from the pub at closing time & saw people on them bombing about the roads and in the cycle lanes, so i don't know what the score is. I'm no fan of these contraptions, in much the same way that as a life long cyclist i detest people riding on the footpaths among pedestrians, but that's another issue lol. GL
No not at all ... couldn't be better....but as it's winter at the moment and freezing conditions...things are very slow and on hold at the moment Best wishes mark
some of these escooters go as fast or faster than small motorbikes, with no licence or training (or road tax) needed. i don't wanna be a killjoy but they have no place on footpaths or amongst traffic, in fact most places lol, and i've seen kids using mobiles riding 'em. I was in york recently and a tad surprised to see you can pick them up on street corners, much like boris bikes in london, and as you can't hear 'em approaching, IMHO accidents looking for a place to happen. GL
No nothing at all all good 👍 You only hear on the news about the odd fire here and there What you don't hear about is the thousands of people that never have issues Cheers mark
The issue is getting people to use these responsibly, can't really get away from the fact that they exist can we? My work colleague, a nearly retirement age keen cyclist was knocked off her bicycle in a cycle lane by a cretin riding one of these at about 30mph going the wrong way. She broke her neck & spine, he was never caught...
If there ever a minimum age it will be 16 as all electric vehicles but I feel like for younger riders there should be a limit per age under 16 for example let's say 8-13 ride under 20kmh 13-16 can use up to 30 kmh but it will be to hard to enforce
Cool scooter Mark...But until they change the stupid UK laws, wouldn't buy 1...Even riding on walkways, you could get charged or worse still, they confiscate the scooter 😞
Yes know 💯 the laws been following it avidly for 4 years now When will they ever legalise them 😆😂...legal in most of the world except good old uk Best wishes mark
