  • Have you ever been plagued with firestain? You know, that ugly gray cast that shows up in your pieces after your final polish? This video will show you how to make your own barrier flux that can greatly reduce the chances of firestain ruining your piece.

    Supplies Needed:
    Denatured Alcohol

    Glass jar with tight fitting lid
    Stir stick

    If you have to anneal 9ct yellow gold a few times, should you pickle after each heat and reapply this boric acid coating?

    How do I remove the scale shield after I'm done with the soldering? Do I use pickling? Thank you for the fire shield instructions.
