How do I take off the handwheel?! Pretty sure mine has some thread wrapped around it. I've done everything you've shown above but it's still not budging
I own a Bernette B37 which is almost the same machine as the B38 (computerized) and it also says in its manual not to oil but I did it becouse six months into using it, it started making metal on metal friction sounds. I applied a drop of oil underneath bobbin case area, in that sponge thing over there, a drop on the needle bar (as far up as possible and then move the handwheel immediately)and one on the presser foot bar (same way as with needle bar). The machine now doesn’t make those sounds anymore, it runs smoothly. I don’t know if there’s any other area that I could oil but I will see in the future. About servicing I think it’s too soon after only 6 months and I don’t know any place in my town where I could take my machine anyways…I hope this helps!
Love your nice, clear instructions! Comes in very handy for sewing newbies like me! Keep up the great work!
I am so happy to hear that I am helping so many wonderful people :)
Thank you for the great videos. Just unboxed my new Bernette B38 and loving it. Your videos have been so helpful.
Hey, just wondering if you need to oil any parts of the bernette b38? Thanks

I have the same question. Did you figure it out ?
@@laurastankiewicz9591 I never found anything on oiling it. So frustrating!
On page 67 of the manual point 5 says :'The Machine does not require oiling'.
