I was 19 in 1985 in Darwin Australia NT driving out bush 100 kms away this song smashing out on the Radio in and out losing reception!! 150 kms This song held on to the bitter end until all I got was white noise!! I cried because I missed her so much!!
Oh, the 80s and big hair culture: mullets, perms, bowl cuts, shag styles. Then padded shoulders, rolled-up sleeves, slogan t-shirts, baggy jumpers, bomber jackets, pierced ears . . . and on it went: The Big 80s!😁😃😁😃😁😃!!
Everyone looks so happy in this. I could watch it over and over. One of my fav songs of the 80's. Uplifting tune with such meaning.

Why was I not familiar with this band? Did they tour the U.S.? I can't believe I'm hearing these songs for the first time! Better late than never I suppose!
He actually started in a punk band called the undertones back in the 70's and went solo with more of a pop career in the 80's
