Amazing footage, I'm trying to see if these can be effective enough to tell temperature differences in metal objects side by side. Would this be strong enought to detect thermal activity in a shipping container?

The thermal camera could only detect the exterior temperature of the container. This is a limitation of all thermal imaging systems. Accuracy will vary based upon factors such as distance from the object, emissivity (reflective properties of the surface) and solar loading. You could potential detect surface temperature differences of objects side by side, that is a reasonable expectation.

@@BillBongle I'm wondering if AI and a camera on a crane or small drone would be able to help detect thermal changes. I know it would be hard because they stack them and they sit out in the sun, but if there was anyway to try. Thank you for your reply.

I am told there is a conversion tool available so that the images can be imported into FLIR tools. I am not sure about video but images can be converted this way.

Very cool. I have a client that wants to understand whether or not a building is loosing excess heat in the winter. Is the DJI drone with thermal sensor an adequate tool for that? So we would basically be photographing exterior walls and roofs to see where heat is escaping from the building.
