"Hey, You know that's hell you're walking into?"... followed by the scene of him seeing Kiritsugu save him as a kid, honestly one of my favourite scenes in anime cause it hits so deep. Archer lived so long and became so jaded that he forgot the beginning... why he started his journey in the first place. Really an amazing episode.
That line man and the conversation between the two was too good man definitely made archer and shirou’s character way better. Fate is peaking right now - Loops
This is not even the full reason why Shirou is the goat, i mean he did some goated stuff in this route especially in the upcoming finale but heavens feel Shirou is just on another whole level, also miyuverse Shirou (Prisma Illya)
Now that you know Archer's identity, I would strongly recommend you to revisit/rewatch specifically episode 14 of the original Fate Stay Night anime, which Archer sacrificed himself against Berserker to buy time for the gang to escape. There were details and hints that were dropped about his true identity even way back then, and if you watch it now I think you will have new found appreciation for that episode. Some of the key things were the way/mannerism that Archer addressed Illyasviel as Illya, and also the special end credit made for just that episode which seems to show Shirou's memory of past events in his life, but instead it was from Archer's memory of events from his life in the past as Shiro. Also as the last trace of him disappeared, and it left behind Rin's pendant 😣 (which was another significant hint to his identity, as Rin's pendant was one of its kind, and there shouldn't be another that exist in the world). I recall the way that people perceive Shirou for the rest of that series was quite different between those that picked up on the true identity of Archer and those that didn't. It was legitimately the difference between knowing Shirou would get there one day with his effort versus seeing him as an idiot questioning what was he trying to accomplish.
I just want to take this moment to reflect on some of the things you've said. Things like, "forget Shirou, Archer's the main character now" 🤣🤣 Hehe. Y'all kept noticing things and hetting so close to the answer, but veering off into wild conclusions. This was so hype. I'm glad y'all are matching the show's energy 😁💪

This fight wasnt fair at all. According to the Visual Novel Archer Emiya was almost out a mana when this fight started so he couldn't use any of his powerfull Noble Phantasm like Caladbolg, Excalibur, Gae Bolg, Aestus Estus ,Nine Lives Blade Works and etc. He couldn't even use Avalon to heal himself. Archer UBW literally has all the NP of all Heroes just like the Gate of Babylon of Gilgamesh and when he clash blade with an enemy he trace their fighting ability and steal it through his magic circuits. Archer Emiya is pretty OP if you ask me.
Great reaction I know you'll eventually watch heaven's feel after ubw, I would just like to recommend Fate kaleid movie: Oath under Snow at least. Some may not like the prisma ilya series given it's weird(tho story is great), but Miyuverse Shirou is probably my favorite Shirou, and I might argue, best version of Shirou.
