Try a hair dryer on the vinyl, it should shrink the windows and remove the wrinkles.

You did an awesome job! Really inspiring me. I recently acquired a 1988 Mattel Barbie camper van and am planning on rehabbing it into a Gi Joe support vehicle something similar to the 1972 Gi Joe mobile support vehicle, since it features a similar mechanic where the front of the vehicle detaches from the back and can travel independently.

    good work bro
projects like this are never finished, you can always add more, like a dio.
    I had 12's in 74 - 77?
and my sis finally had this van
ah man that I wanted one for my Joes!
only had the puny big Jim van, very squeezed...
a mobile HQ is waaay better!
    improvements
while you did most important stuff,
you could tighten the windows with a paint stripper, very lightly
a piece of cloth would finish the floor nicely
pieces of cardboard to fill the small gaps
paint the shower and other parts a dif colour
I d have loved to see more Joes around the van, not just driving, [had this guy]
maybe tie a rope on the front, and pull it in the backyard for a ride, it can surely drift on asphalt, D, I had a Tonka jeep I pulled with my bike as a kid, all metal or most, banging the sidewalks, maaan, that was an action jeep!
    jumps and all, never broke!
perhaps you should find one and do the pair
as my logo suggests, I m a fan still.
have an fj cruiser, and have my logos on each side, same blue as my Tonka, but Toyota, D
ah, I still want to find me a vintage Joe,
I have a deluxe Cobra Commander, a fake Joe and 6's now, classifieds, and I have 4 dios.
I d really want the 50th an version, it was cool as heck.
    so now you know...
    good show bro

Questions… 1 - where do you get flat plastic thats thin like you have for stove? 2- What kind of prep work do you do for the plastic parts before painting them? Primer, cleaner, etc? Thanks

    • @paulknappcollections
