    In this video, I talk about what to do after a stroke. Now, it’s vital to do these things to help restore brain function and prevent more damage.
    When you have a stroke, it causes something called hypoxia. This is a situation where you have low oxygen in the brain and damaged brain tissue. The brain needs a lot of oxygen. Although the brain only makes up 2% of body tissue, it uses 20% of your oxygen.
    What you need to do is focus on increasing oxygen in the brain. To restore oxygen to the brain after a stroke, do these 7 things:
    1. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy - This forces pure oxygen into the body. I recommend doing this right away.
    2. Ketones - A keto diet and intermittent fasting will increase ketones and give your brain more oxygen.
    3. DHA - This is an Omega-3 fatty acid that can help improve a damaged brain.
    4. Vitamin D - This powerful vitamin can help a damaged brain.
    5. Lots of exercise - Excercise helps flood the body and brain with oxygen.
    6. Acute Intermittent hypoxia - This creates a hormetic effect that can stimulate certain genes to increase the growth of brain tissue.
    7. Whole vitamin C - The whole complex of vitamin C can help strengthen blood vessels and prevent future strokes.

    Great video. I would add reduce stress and get good sleep. I had a mini-stroke 3 years ago, my right hand curled up and I lost my power of speech. It was after a period of acute stress and broken sleep. I just kept forcing my palm open with my other hand. (I thought it was just cramping.) It wasn't until I found I had lost the ability to speak (all I could do was make ugly gargling noises) that I realised what was happening. No way to get help and my brain wasn't working very well. Couldn't remember words. But I forced myself to read aloud, forced myself and forced myself. Reading aloud is a surprisingly complex activity that involves both hemispheres of the brain. At first I could only make slurring sounds - the ability to form consonants had gone. But gradually my speech came back.
    Later I would be very grateful that I was on my own at the time. If someone else had been there they would have said "No, just lie still while I call the ambulance. Don't try to talk." And I would in all likelihood have ended up with a speech impediment.
    The impact on my memory and the ability to focus was longer lasting however. I started taking vitamin D and resveratrol (didn't know about vitamin C or ketones) and I practised a 12 minute exercise called kirtan kriya yoga daily. This was very helpful. It combines finger exercises and voice, providing another very complex workout for the brain. it helped me to recover memory and focus over several months.
    When I finally got to the emergency medical centre the day of the stroke my blood pressure was sky high and the doctor tried to get me to take statins. I was very frightened but I said no. An aspirin yes, statins no. I had an MRI brain scan, carotid artery scan etc. Then I got sent home with instructions to see my GP asap. I did and she likewise tried to persuade me to take various drugs. I have too much experience with how drugs can compromise your long term health so I refused. She then advised supplementing with magnesium, potassium and omega 3. I added fresh beetroot because for many people this lowers blood pressure as effectively as any pharmaceutical without the side effects which then require further drugs to counteract the side effects, and so on and so on. The result: my blood pressure quickly dropped to normal and 3 years later I'm the healthiest I've ever been - and taking no pharmaceuticals. I hope this account might encourage others.

      I too had a mini stroke .. I forced myself to stand up and started singing.. actually dancing and singing .. saved me.. I had to learn how to talk again because my words weren’t clear and many times I couldn’t pronounce them correctly so I quick chose another word in its place. Never went to the hospital or to a doctor.. the only tell of the stroke is my right side when I’m tired my mouth droops a little.. otherwise I’ve been fine for 20 yrs since that stroke.
      I only wish I had been with my mother when she had her stroke.. medical attention was misdiagnosed so she was having a mini stroke.. by the time they figured it out she had a full blown stroke paralyzed her right side and took away her speech.. I could go on about that experience but it’s still too upsetting so I won’t.

    My mother had her second stroke three months before this video has been uploaded. I tried to make her ketogenic by limiting carbohydrate and give her high doses of DHA when she was out from the ICU. Since her right brain was hugely damaged and this was her second stroke (her left brain was slightly damaged at the first stroke), she can't move at all and can't take food and speak, her progresses were not as significant as others whose stroke is not as severe. However, we still can see the progress day by day until one day the Doctor said we need to adjust the dose of Warfarin so please stop make your mom meals and take the enteral nutrition which is completely high carb low fat. Then the nightmare came. My mom suffered from muscle pain, increased muscle tension, insomnia, and from my observation some increased brain damage. I immediately changed the meal back to ketogenic meal when the Doctor said her INR was OK. Two weeks later, all the muscle pain, increased muscle tension, and insomnia went away. I still feel her cognitive ability was badly affected by just two weeks of leaving ketogenic. However, you have to listen to the Doctors even when she is wrong. I don't know if her cognitive ability can recover, but I will continue give her keto meals. As long as she is ketogenic, there is a hope.

    I agree great video! This gave me a lot of guidance on how to feed my husband and what to do to help him better. He suffered a massive stroke on Nov 23, 2020. Blood clot blocked the left artery to the brain stopping blood flow. His brain swelled so that his left cranial had to be removed. He spent 25 days in ICU and 10 days on the neurology floor of the hospital and 21 days in a rehabilitation hospital. He is home now and has graduated from home health to receiving speech, occupational, and physical therapy in outpatient clinic here in Killeen, TX. His left cranial has been re-installed. He still has weakness on right side of body so he is not walking or lifting right arm and leg yet, speech has improved a lot but there seems to be a loss of memory on how to do somethings and there seems to be a mental processing issue of certain things too. In July he was hospitalize for week for phenomena. I don't keep it to cold or hot in the house so I'm not sure why he caught phenomena. The doctor thinks he may have a weak muscle that causes his food and/or liquid to backup in his lungs so he starts evaluations for this next week. He is very strong on the left side and i'm starting to see some muscle formation in his right arm and leg. I just said a lot I guess I needed to talk about. Thanks for listening.

    You have mentioned the use of hyperbaric oxygen a couple of times in your recent videos. Please do a video about how this works, the side effects and dangers associated with hyperbaric oxygen. To my knowledge, this requires a prescription. Hyperbaric chambers are not readily available, even in bigger hospitals. As a respiratory therapist, I do understand how they work and why they have a role in healing the body, but hyperbaric chambers are expensive and insurance coverage may be questionable depending on what you’re treating. I was not aware of their availability outside of the hospital setting for the larger chambers. I know that they have devices for healing bed sores and other wound treatment on appendages. Because of the conditions of the hospital I signed myself out against orders last night.
    The doctor told me to stay in bed and rest I usually try to get in 20,000 steps if not 10,000 at least usually 20 , Because of your videos I have taken responsibility and recently have given up meat I have Seebo and a list of other things and it is helping me greatly. I also do my best to drink a gallon of water a day if not I am only shy of a glass or two.

    Fantastic...I'm taking my notes Ave learning so much from you. Would you domend hyperbarics for someone on the asd autism spectrum disorder or ongoing chelation?

    • @vickieturner8688
      @vickieturner8688 4 года назад +2

      For ASD, please look at "Voxx Life" website. They've developed a new technology that is woven into socks and insoles, that helps with many brain and physical issues. It's not magnets. In the testimonials, a Mother took video of her autistic daughter, before and after putting these socks on. The difference, in just minutes, was amazing! After reading and viewing the testimonials on their site, I've ordered a pair of those socks for my own brain issues.
      Another thing to consider is that ALL of us have at least one allergy to something, whether we know it or not. Those in the ASD community seem to be hardest hit. You need to determine what food and environmental allergies the person has. This can be done without a specialist or prick tests, which aren't always accurate. The book "Diet Wise", written by allergy expert, Dr. Keith Scott-Mumby, tells how to do this in your own home. Even what's considered 'healthy' foods or substances, can be extremely damaging to some people. Often, what they crave IS one of their allergens. The ASD population especially needs clean, unadulterated food, as Dr. Berg suggests, minus their particular allergens.
      Chelation therapy is excellent and can be done at home, as well. "The One Minute Miracle", written by Madison Cavanaugh, gives the ins and outs and shows how to effectively and safely do this. I've personally done this protocol, with great success. Of course there are other methods, too. I pray that you have great success at helping those with Autism Spectrum Disorder!

    • @rachkate76
      @rachkate76 4 года назад +5

      Mb K2 and natural Vitamin C (ascorbate acid eg from gubinge) can unclog arteries over time.
      Reduces risk of heart attacks as well as strokes and especially good for dark skinned people who have trouble absorbing Vit D which over time causes their bones to leach calcium as a substitute for not enough Vitamin D coming in.
      Cholesterol then goes out to bind that leaching calcium so that it doesn’t clog arteries.
      The body only really likes calcium in the bones, teeth and a bit in the muscles primarily.
