My ten tips for new players: 1) Your most important first choice: I STRONGLY recommend picking either USA, USSR or Germany first. China or Sweden are also wise options. Britain use solid shot exclusively on their early tanks, therefore I would avoid them until you get some experience playing. Japan is... an interesting choice, but I wouldn't recommend them for a first nation. Early game Italy and France are War Thunder on Nightmare difficulty -- you should avoid them at least until you get to BR 4.0 in another nation. Israel is hardly worth doing ever. 2) Take APCBC in WWII vehicles if you can ever get it, along with a few HE shells for blowing up thin-skinned trucks and armoured cars. Smoke shells are also nice to have, take a few. Never take ACPR/HVAP, it's god awful. 3) NEVER take a full ammo load on tanks, more ammo just means more risk of catastrophic internal explosion when (not if) an ammo rack is hit. Trucks and armoured cars which are so thin-skinned that if you take a hit you will probably be blown to kingdom come anyway are the exception, so take all the ammo you need. 4) For tank upgrades, always research repair kits and fire extinguishers first. 5) Treads and barrels are always good opportunity targets for enemy tanks where you don't know precisely where to hit. If the barrel is gone, they can't shoot; if the treads are gone, they can't move. 6) Always Test Drive a vehicle to know the strengths and limitations of it. And generally just use your noggin, it's a bad idea to drive a slow German tank destroyer with a fixed forward-facing gun into the narrow streets of a town, for example. Freely experiment with light, medium and heavy tanks and tank destroyers to see what your style is. But whatever your preference, always bring an SPAA in your lineup (even a rubbish one) to shoot down CAS planes. Taking planes of your own is good but not entirely necessary, you can play without them if you want. 7) Stop, Look and Listen. I cannot stress this enough. Binoculars ("B" key, default) are free and with them you can peek over banks and cover that would be otherwise too high for your cannon scope. Scan the horizon and watch for movement, and never drive into an area you haven't scoped out first. You can also cut the engine ("I" key, default) -- tank engines are very loud, and you can hear an enemy from quite a distance away if they've left theirs idling. 8) Armour is fine, but concealment is better, and hard cover is best of all. Never needlessly expose yourself, even in a heavy tank. Always scoot to a new point after getting a kill, unless doing so would expose you to enemy fire. Be aware that tanks can shoot through fences, trees, light walls and even dead tank husks if the cannon is powerful enough. And always remember the single most dangerous place you can be is atop a hill or bank; being lower is (usually) being safer. 9) Stick closely to teammates. Good teammates will watch your back, bad teammates will draw enemy fire. Lone rangers wind up dead quick. 10) Be aware that you will die and lose games a LOT at first, at this point you are playing against people who have many years of experience at the game and have seen everything. Never get frustrated and post shit talk over chat, nor should you ever react to toxicity or insults posted over chat, it's never worth it.
There's a filter in the game that makes spotting tracers alot easier, it's in post xf settings, it's the one that reduces the sun glare and makes the game a bit yellowish In the same settings there are also filters to reduce fog and to make night maps brighter. I would recommend switching between post xf as needed because the yellowish one will make fog maps more foggy, it's a bit hard to explain but you'll see the difference, this is how I avoid using that Nvidia thing and still see the tracers clear.
Tips : 1.When your teammates is capturing the objective, your task is to protect them from the enemies. Scout the potentially attacking position to keep your teammates safe. 2. If your teammates passes the objective, it can be a signal that they want to protect you while capturing objective by scouting the area from the enemy. So if you see this, Capture The Objective! 3. Light tanks (M3, the BT family, and Puma) are great to capture the objective from one point to another points.
Videos about wt. Player shoots, one shoot. I do the same but: critical hit, critical hit, hit, hit. Enemy shoots me, I die with one shot. If I don't die with one shot, almost the entire team has killed me and I'm just waiting for the final blow. The game only rewards you if you give life and soul to it. If you don't treat it like a job, you get nothing.
Tips for simulator air player: For bomber. If you play bomber or, aspire to play bomber. Spotting a bombing target that are not Airfield can be little hard especially when the map is camuflaging the base. Try look at the map and learn terrain feature. Maybe the base are near a crescent shaped river bank, or near a twist of river flow. This help gave better general direction if for example you fly 8000 meter above the ground and unable to see anything clearly. another help is just try look at tracer, sometimes the base would try to shoot at you and their tracer would help you
One huge advantage DLSS2 has however, is that the jagged edges are nearly completely gone. I play on a 1440p monitor and use DLSR to let the game render it at 4k and the using DLSS Quality/Balanced to let it render at 1440p so i get good fps. Now you have the best of both worlds.
High BR SPAA: click where the game tells you to click Low BR SPAA: watch the 1 pixel tracer to see if it disappears for 1 micro second behind the 6 pixel plane
The problem with watching tracers to see if I'm over or under leading with my SPAA is that I can't tell which they're doing. They're so fast, small, and far away that I can't see if they're passing in front of or behind a plane.
I am relatively new and my biggest issue is aiming. A lot of the times I die I actually get the jump on somebody but my shot either doesn't do enough damage or it doesn't penetrate. Its hard to remember how to kill all these tanks.
Yea it really is hard to remember all of the weak spots on different tanks. A general tip I would give is to remember where the gunner sits on the vehicles that you face and shoot for areas where the gunner will die first giving you the ability to take your time and line up a better shot.
Start learning some of the most common ones. T34, M4 and PZ4 and PZ3, KV1 are very common. Then there are a whole bunch of different variants of them. But they almost always have the same weak points. At lower BR, just honk and drive.
i had recently developed using the capture point tactic(on my own) since i kept on missing my shells so i had to come up with a way to estimate quickly
Im using binoculars and just barely peeping over embankments… like 0.01 inches of my commander’s cupola is visible over the embankment and people are still one shotting me whyyyy😭😭😭

Would i be able to join the squadron ( if you made one that is) i just ask bc im a truck driver and im only home 2 weekends a month. Not sure if thatd be a problem?
Yea you can join at the end of each month I do kick the inactive players but you have to be at zero activity to get kicked which is pretty much not playing at all for 2 months. Squadron is DWGYT next time slots will be availability is July 31st
@@DawgIVLife thank you! Ill have to join sometime around the end of august haha. Im going to start a new job for a differnet company so ill be on the road by the end of this month! Any Suggestion.. how should I Improve my Tracking.. Also when I Focus in Air.. I'm still dead.. Enemy Vehicles with full Camo.. Ambush me by flanks.. even if I stay close to home base.. or keep changing locations..
PBV 301 is painfully bad. Unfortunately, Sweden has no good SPAA. You must have something that shoots a lot and for a long time. US M13 and M16, German Wirbelwind, Russian BTR152 are all good and easy to use and available in several nations. The best, however, is the Italian M42. When you play in AB, you get help aiming.
