Wow, European Air Lines with a black 747! That's neat, and so's the green 737. Strange that BA had a German division too... Extravagant footage from back in time :)
Amazing seeing Monarch and Brittania Airlines. Fab video made all the more poignant dur to the fact I'm actually in Rhodes now and fly home in 2 days with easyJet 👍
No way Andy.. thats very cool :) Have a look at the airport and see whats there today... maybe its still cool but its nothing like what it was back them. Enjoy the remainder of your trip!
Rodos "Diagoras" International Airport mostly receives charter flights. Cronus- Aegean ( They had just merged back then) Axon Airlines (skyrocketted for five years as I recall, good airline though) Macedonian (Lasted for ten years I think, it was the charter airline of Olympic Airlines. Eventually merged with Olympic) Aegean Airlines was considered as the next major airline of Greece but noone had believed it. The future proved otherwise though. Thank you for your awesome videos.
I’m sorry I didn’t live in those years. Boeing 717’s, 737-300’s, 757-200/300’s 767-200’s Airbus A300’s, A310’s, A320’s and even A330’s? Man I wish to turn time back.
Love the LTE red livery at 1:23. Also what plane make is the one at 2:43 looks amazing with the engines mounted at the back.

The Olympic Aviation Boeing 717 is currently in operation with QantasLink.
Cool to know. Thank you
Incredibile how a tiny plane that was operating in Europe ended up Down Under
717 flyer I thought that was a DC-9?!
@@thereallincolntakanashi Very similar. The 717 is basically a modernised DC-9.

Great vlog! LN-TUM, a 737-705 still flying now for SAS after the 2005 merger. All 737 in SAS will be replaced by A-320Neo`s by 2021.
Thank you. Good to know about LN-TUM. So SAS becoming an all Airbus airline I guess.
Very nice video. Old memories. ;)
