The traffic at the end reminds me of when me and my hubby came back from France (holiday) towing a folding camper. Tom wasn't too good, and we came back over from Dunkirk to Dover, and the traffic started when approaching the M26, which was shut, so diverted ourselves to go anti-clockwise on M25. Got to J.29, and there was accident further up, and luckily we were approach said junction, so got off. This is where my map reading skills comes in handy. Drove overland to the M11, and headed up towards Cambridge, and came off A14 towards the start of the M6. Accident at Coventry (M6), so diverted to M1 (hate that motorway), and headed north to come off at Woodhead Pass and cross over towards Glossop, which is roughly 15 minutes from home. Only been on M1 for 15 minutes, and a lorry had shed its load just as you come off for Woodhead, so came off at A5 to go across country to M6 (J.15), then accident at J.17, so came off at J16, an went via A34/A50 towards Knutsford and M56, and by then everything had cleared up. That journey took us close to six hours. Second worse journey ever😝. Its times like this that I feel for you guys. Anyway hope you feel better soon, and safe journey

Apparently the tunnel bypassing Stonehenge has been passed by the high court so with any luck that will start soon, I do think the government need stringing up for not erecting some form of screen, the amount of wasted time queuing is horrendous, hope you are feeling better soon!!

Why do you have to go to Customs in UK but not when you travelled from Germany to Belgium, and then Belgium to France?

It’s to do with European Union, I’ve only used ata carnets, but you stamp out of uk, then stamp into the eu in France, then your covered for all eu countries

Yes Joe is correct with a carnet you are basically temporarily imported the good listed then you will agree to export them all within the time slot show on carnet
