Last night I had an F22 pressure drop which left us with no hot water and no central heating.I couldn't make head or tail of the instruction manual so retired to bed defeated - until I remembered the wonders of RUclips and found your channel and 7.55 minutes later I knew what to do and in no time I had reset the boiler and hot water and warmth was restored which given how cold it is at the moment is an absolute blessing - thank you so much Mark.
Thanks mark much appreciated. Just had the error code F29 and you saved the day. It’s so good to see a genuine guy like yourself, helping us mear mortals out and saving us money. Thumbs up from me mark.
Me too I had the same code At Saturday evening I put some things in the storage where the gas box and accidentally I closed the gas key i didn’t know what was the wrong so I searched and I found this video so I checked
Oh my God thank you ever so much for this video, God bless you immensely. I’ve just moved into this house where the landlord and letting agent have deserted me and it’s only a good neighbour that’s been helping. Finally got registered for gas yet it wasn’t working and I’ve been buying food for the past week. Went to google, saw your video and watched it and it’s working perfectly now.
Mark, the son of Ballard, you saved me from having to call out a boiler man and I was able to fix the problem within the first 3 minutes of this video - THANK YOU!!!
Thanks very much Mark. Our Vaillant stopped working today (which is just about the coldest day of the year). I checked out the troubleshooting instructions in the manual, which told me to hold down the fault clearance key for one second. This made no difference, so, after three attempts, the guidance said that I needed to contact an engineer. Thankfully I checked out your video first, and you showed me that the fault clearance button should be held down for 5 seconds. That worked a treat, and the boiler is going strong again. Thank you so much for your brilliant video!
Thanks Mark,You save my freezing bottom,I ran out of supply due to low credit,my boiler is new,but I have no idea how to operates or reset, browsing across for help,I found you,I must say I am 100% happy, thank you
thank you for this video mark my boiler had just gone sitting here freezing with no hot water.landlords were booked for tommorrow.but thanks to your video i got everything going again cheers damien
Thank you. After reading my boiler manuals and checking Vaillant website I checked your Chanel. Within minutes I had reset the boiler and fault sorted. A great resource.
Thanks for really good vid. All I did was turn the gas off at the meter and then turned it on again an hour later. F29 fault and a dead boiler! I followed your reset instructions and PROBLEM SOLVED! I can't thank you enough. Vic
Genius! After the British Gas engineer left it wasn't working. Turns out it was the gas valve under the boiler he hadn't switched back on! I wouldn't have spotted that if it hadn't been for your video! Much appreciated!
Actually I already solved the problem myself before coming to this video, however I just wanted to look up if I can gain further information that could cause this, just in case. For F.29 (at least in my case) it seemed it was a gas shortage, meaning the gas supplier didn't delivered enough gas to ignite the flame and to heat up the boiler. Anyway I love your video and explanation because you are one of a rare kind today, since most people would call a technician even though most issues can be easily solved by one selfs and you only need to call a technician if there's an issue you really can't find out and/or fix yourself. It saves you also lots of money, as like just in clicking the button, while even if the technician wouldn't most likely charge you for just pushing a button, you still gonna end up paying the fact that he had to come which can be, depending where you live, easily 50 bucks for coming and going and not being able to spent the time with a client that really needed help where he could had made way more money then just the 50bucks. So thanks for keeping people informed and being a diy craftsman of your own.
Thanks, Mark this was great. Looked at several others, who if they knew what they were talking about. forgot that they were trying to help the inexperienced. Yours was clear, and showed the bits without hiding them with fingers or indeed the whole body. You are a teacher!
Thank you Mark. Once again the F.29 error popped up on my boiler following a gas inspection. Mine’s not a modern Vaillant, but pressing the ‘flame’ button appears to have resolved the problem.
Hi Mark, Thanks to your video I've just managed to reset my boiler which also had the yellow handle in the wrong position. Thanks and keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you so much. We had a new hob installed and turning the gas supply off triggered the F29 fault which would not reset, even powering off etc.. Hob engineer was not interested, everything online says get a Gas Safe engineer in, and yet all you have to do is hold a button in for 5 seconds!
Thank you! Got hot water and heating again now! Great explanation and good to see a boiler the same as mine. Gave me the confidence to have a go at it myself
It was a cold, Cold night in Glasgow, put heating on and nothing, watched this video, did what you said and normality returned, thank you very much, shine on.
Thank you Mark this really helped fix a small problem that I was going to get a large call out fee for. I have donated & will return if & when. Much appreciated.
Thanx so much your video did the job for me , I had F.28 fault when I saw your video I went straight away to the gaz handle it was close, now it is sorted thanks to your video Thanks again.
We had the F28 fault and it locked out again. It was a frozen condenser outlet pipe. Worth checking if yours if frozen, after running hot water over the pipe to melt the ice we were able to restart the boiler.
I did everything what you said, the gas valves are open and it still doesn't work ☹️ with the first restart the temperature instead go up dropped from 33 degrees to 19 within moment
Ours came up with this F28 error reseted it and worked but would revert back to F28. Turns out the outside water pipe from the boiler was iced up. So pouring warm water and freeing up the pipe. Finding the cause of the issue then resetting is the best solution.
Thanks for the excellent explanation, sorted mine out after reseting following your instructions, pity you did not mention to check the water pressure gauge first, would have made the process much easier to solve. Many thanks... ,
Saint Mark, thank you. F28 fault but seemingly need a new valve🥴not even eight years old and been see serviced for the last seven so just out of warranty. Are they designed to fail?
All you can do is check your gas is definitely turned on at the metre. If your gas hob works fireworks ok and make sure no one has turned the gas lever off under the boiler that's normally a yellow handle. if everything is on then you have a fault and you'll have to call a gas Safe engineer.
Thankyou !!! Hero! Is it normal for it to make a few big VROOM VROOM noises as it resets .?? I was a little worried for a moment ! It has stopped though now .
Thankyou sir for very informative video My boiler has same problem i followed your advice it worked for sometime but again back to error f54 i have to keep resetting all the time ..what should i do know ? Any advice will be appreciated
Not overly helpful - until you made me realise I'd switched the yellow (gas) off while I was fumbling about for the water feed loop. I bled a radiator last night and all that came out was stinky air for two minutes, which was way longer than I expected. So no heating this morning. Fortunately it's a 2°C day today rather than the recent -2°C. I also managed to turn the round red tap (yours may vary I suppose, clearly I'm not qualified) which turned out to be the water feed in so I'd turned off my hot water. DOH. So, in a roundabout way - thank you :)
You saved my day, I was desperate as my newborn was struggling as boiler was not working and house was very cold. Thank you very much

Thank you. You saved my life ! I got F29 as the pre-paid gas meter run out of credit. Should have checked the credit more often in winter time.

I do this, but it just goes back to F.28. A couple more restarts and it changed to F.29. Any ideas?
