I recently went to town where I lived between 1st and 6th grade. The main department store was a Jamesway (the jingle : at Jamesway, we care about you!). It, like everything Else in that area had changed. Taken over by a Walmart and a Lowe’s. The Burger King where I had gotten Empire Strikes Back glasses and even the elementary school I went to were gone. I am surprised Jamesway had a line of toys.

I know Woolworth had a couple toy brands made for them. If they had them, anyone could have them, lol

I stumbled across your channel and I have to say, I really dig the more esoteric lines you talk about. What struck me most about your content though is your unflinching positivity and refusal to rip on these older toys that most people would deride. That's what made me like and subscribe.
    Hope you have continued success!

Thank you so much! I believe no matter what toy it is, a child had fun with it and made life long memories. There shouldn't be any negativity about that. Maybe the toy companies didn't have the purest intentions, but the fun that was had sure was.
Thank you for watching and subscribing!!

These are some really great and unknown (to me, at least) toys. It’s really interesting to see what did and did not take off in popularity.
Do you remember a Hot Wheels or Matchbox sub line with the cars being tricked out with weaponry and there were larger, plastic vehicles that served as launchers and storage? I wish I could remember what the line was called.

That Battle of Right toyline sounds like something Justin Whang should look into.

It's really sad that we most likely won't get to see obscure toy lines like this again.

It is! Thank goodness the Dollar Stores have recently started putting out some lines of their own. It's the closest thing we have to this.
      Thanks for watching, buddy

Battle of Right seems to be using the bodies from Sungold's Galaxy Warriors and their many spinoffs such as Turley Gang. Same for Dino Hunter.

The good ol days when wherever you went, there were action figures, knock-offs, and bootlegs. Who knew that all the knock-offs and bootlegs that we ignored for the more popular brands would one day become valuable collector pieces.

None of those were horrible figures. Last 3 could have made a nice army build for Skeletor or Hordak, especially if they were a buck or two cheaper than He Man at the time. I saw Panthor in Wally last night for 9 bucks on clearance. When I visited the family down south last weekend, I found Jango Fett version of Slave one for 10 bucks at an overstock store came with Jango, and a kid aged Boba from aattack of the clones. I really would like to pick up some of the newer classified guys coming out. May have to if I see em in store (who am I kidding)! Snow Job, Torpedo, Shipwreck, all cool characters, and these don’t look too off compared to the first classified run.

Nice find! I agree, any of these figures could seamlessly blend into MOTU with no problem.
Yeah, Classified has come a long way. I love all the new figures, but I'm not a fan of all this exclusive nonsense.
      Thanks for watching, buddy!

The Bucky O'Hare figures' art was by their creator and comic book legend Neal Adams.. Definitely not the same artist as Battle of Right.

I'm really curious about those Dino Fighters now. I'd never seen them before, and those look like Galaxy Warrior derived weapons, and Dino Hunter's head definitely reminds me of Thor from that line. The boot shapes look familiar too, but I've never seen chest pieces like they wear. I'm really curious about the origin now or if it's all coincidence. Those weapons look too similar though.
Okay, I did a little research. Apparently Simba only handled the European distribution of Dino Fighter. It was originally called "Dino Warriors" and made by Hang Yip. It seems Simba named them, as there's no names on the Dino Warriors card I found. Based on said card, I'm going to say that the heroes were probably intended to be Bad Trimbo (funnily enough), Dino-Hero, and Rexy King. With Dino Hunter, Rick Dragon, and Ray Dominator as villains. But I seriously doubt they had any real intentions in that regard. It's just due to how they're divided on the Dino Warriors card.
Also apparently there MIGHT be alternate versions with different arms or something. I'm not prepared to dive into that hole currently however.
Regardless, I did find a line called "Dinosaur Fighter" which seems to be a knock-off of Dino Fighter. Some of the heads are similar but lower quality as far as I can see, it might be a coincidence though as I'm not good at recognizing molds and sculpts and they might just be the same species. Also the nice big chest plates are gone and replaced with the standard Galaxy warrior sun-harnesses and generic Galaxy shields rather than the dinosaur sticker ones. The weapons are the same though, supporting my belief that they are absolutely Galaxy weapons. Regardless, the "Dinosaur Fighter" line appears to have been released by "Kids Goods" and they may have swappable heads based on the description.

Wow! Thank you so much for shedding some light on this figures. I feel like there may have been a handful of factories making the parts and selling them to the toy companies, which is why there is a ton of crossover with certain molds. The whole thing fascinates me. Again, thank you for diving into the history of these figures!
      Thanks for watching!!!
