80's Masters of the Universe Toy Commercials

- More than 20 minutes of American Masters of the Universe toy commercials from the 80's.
Of course all commercials are property of Mattel. This is just a fan tribute. Hope you enjoy!
When you are 45 years old and still remember every single figure, vehicle and building. Hell, I wanna be a child again. ❤
I still have all the toys. lol
Do like me and just buy them again. 1
Who doesnt...Im 38 and MOTU were easily my favorite toys....
these toys were so cool i had some of these as a kid
My dad is 54 and he can recite the intro word by word
Man E Faces was the shit. I feel sorry for kids today, we had all the good stuff in the 80s
Indeed today they dont even have a good commercial to show.
DarkSoul712
I dont know maybe nostalgia also included in those feelings but i think that those older commercials make kids wanted to have those much more, even when i see them now make me want even now to have one of those in my age of 35.

Some few ferhaps ;)

I really love lego minifigures and playmobil f?gures i dont know if in other regions have commersials for those but those days most of that kind of commercial is via the web.I see from times to times close to hollidays to have some for the kids but here in greece the most popular are barbie and hot wheels, back in the 80s we also had many like those mattel and not only.I waited to put commercials just to see what new stuff arived.
Sometimes i walk into a toy store just for fun, and all i see is toy lines based on Disney movies or action figures based on those crappy, hysterical Japanese cartoons.
'80s toys will always be the best!
Optimus Prime doing voices for He-Man commercials... doesn't get more '80s than that!
And as a Gen-Xer, I love it!
Being a poor kid I had very few of these figures. I started collecting ALOT more of them as an adult as I could more afford it. It's a fun hobby. Brings back nice memories.
God, I want it to be 1985 again.
Julio Soto
Just buy a DeLorean.
Me too
@@WalkingRoscoe Or a Doctor Who phonebooth.
Julio Soto hell yeah man just start over from 82, such a good time
Since when we get a God damn time machine!?
I love how the creative geniuses at Mattel just used the same monotone drum beat for every commercial while just repeating the name of the new figure over and over.
I like how Optimus Prime was selling us his Competition during the 80's. XD
Except they are both made by the same company.
@@mikecathcart128 Transformers was made by Hasbro outside of Japan. In Japan it was Takara Tomy.
@@mikecathcart128
Transformers: Hasbro
Masters Of The Universe: Mattel
I love how it's the same theme music for every product.
The best Christmas gifts to ever see under the tree, some HE-MAN action figures! How I miss those days...
The amount of money my parents spent on buying me 90% of everything feature here...I was a spoiled 80's child.
+chinito77 Me too, but became a National Guard and English teacher with a Masters Degree so probably I did pay back because they are proud of me! See, even though we played violently back in the 80's that not transfer to a violent grown up! Today these kids have nothing to identify with!!!!!!!! Us, we were all Masters of the Universe, GI Joe, Mazinger and that was it !!!!
The dads always playing with their children in those comercials so cute.
Damn I’m in my 40s and I want to play with my old Masters of the Universe toys.
These commercials really brought tears to my eyes. I used to have every action figure and castle along with almost ever vehicle that was out. I can still remember the excitement I used to feel when I saw a new commercial for a new action figure, then my dad would take me to buy it. Kids now a days just want phones and computers they will never know how much fun it was playing with action figures and then going outside and pretending to be the characters with your friends for hours. I wish I had those days back. Getting old really sucks.
Me too
I hear ya. Those were the days.
Still think the collect but yeah this is the Internet age times change but things never totally change.but we did have more imagination back in the day
The 80's were the BEST time to grow up...we had He-Man, Voltron, Thundercats, Gi Joe, Transformers...Ninja Turtles....we even had the Rocky movies and Hulk Hogan wresting in the WWF!!! It was the era of non-stop toy playing! Now...it's down hill for these kids!
Even the football kits were great in the 80's. The only bad thing about the 80's was Thatcher being Prime Minister.
Ninja Turtles are still around. Thundercats and He-man are coming back, it's still good today, just gott be open enough to accept what it has to offer
Don’t forget Nintendo in its glory days...
You said it brother.
And on the girls end MLP, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, Popples....was a grand decade to be a kid for sure ❤
My most hated words as a child: "each sold separately"
Mine were "Batteries not included".
Mine was, "Special Edition."
Mine was "figures and veichles sold separately" I actually threw a tantrum over that when I was 3
Mine were: “Your parents help you put it together.”
Mine were “you’ll have to wait for your birthday, son.”
Just took a 20 minute shot of nostalgia
What a magical time to be a kid. I miss the 80's
80S WERE THE BEST HANDS DOWN
Amen.
Aw man I remember getting these for Christmas when I was little.
"You have to put it together" is much more direct and much less evasive than "Some assembly required."
Exactly, lol
This sure takes me back
nemass26 me too I grew up in 80s
I love how the dad plays with the toys too!
That's what it was families doing things like that creation magical keep yourself busy but learning the good v bad these people are stars role models u played with ya toys it beats everything and anything since the pinnacle left the 80s which will never leave me but kids today and before don't know that when they got devices down their throats tablets fones etc etc the fairytale there is gone now the way the World is going never be beaten touched or matched from the happiness vibes feelings of these to what goes on now the last 10,20 even 30years
God dammit, the 80s were so much better than today. It ain't even close.
Yep. The '80s was the last bastion of inventive toys. Once the '90s arrived, it was all about video games and technology. : /
Let see kids can't walk to a park down the street with out parents getting called about child neglect, toys are cheaply made and over priced, and every thing is ether a reboot or a rip off of. and those are just the safe things to mention with out causing some kind of comment war.
Jenga
true true
Good true i hate kids today
The Dad in the first two is awesome XD
Not only did he buy them that, giant, Expensive thing, and all the other toys. he also knew how to play too XD
I wish my dad was that cool.
Nobody's dad was playing with their kids' He-Man toys like that.
Brings back memories! It’s crazy that they were doing a whole commercial to introduce ONE figure/character!!!
I'm a comic book artist and creator. I've always been into Thor, Hulk, batman ect. And I currently have over 70 characters of my own creation. But long before I was into marvel or DC it was all about He-man and the masters of the universe. I remember waking up on Christmas mornings still half asleep, bumping into walls as I made my way to the living room like a 5 yr old whino because my sister woke me up at like 5am screaming "Santa came!" Once I entered the living room my eyes would clear and light up brighter than any bulb (glass) on the tree. All the latest motu action figures would be lined up and castle grayskull and snake mountain fully assembled. And the cookies and milk we left Santa would be gone. Just a swallow of milk and a few cookie crumbs left. The excitement, and surprise was so overwhelming that our squeals of joy would wake our parents. Lol. Id play with them until id fall asleep on the floor in a nest of action figures, swords, shields and vehicles. I grew up and left all of those toys behind. But now I'm a husband, father and recently became a grand dad. I've started collecting the entire motu original vintage toyline. I have them in display cases, mounted on the wall like fine art because they represented such a wonderful time and a large part of my child hood. Thanks mom and dad. I love u.
I've been watching this amazing video because I am now getting Masters Of The Universe Origins Toys this year of 2021.
The Thing I always remember about these commercials and those of G.I. Joe and Star Wars, was the COOL Yards and Places those Kids played in ... I used to be so jealous thinking "why couldn't I have a cool place that that to play in?" lol
same! it ruined the whole experience lol
me too brother!! :))
The yards and places with the streams and bridges that collapsed and all of the woodsy areas....i used to think the exact same thing....
Same
He man was just fricking awesome
Beautiful childhood memories, I love the 80's as a little child.
When we role played, I was always Skeletor. He had all the best lines.
All you have to watch is the first two commercials in the video to see what is REALLY missing for today's kids. Interactive and involved parents.
Nonsense. There's zero reason to believe that today's parents are less involved with their children than kids in the early 80s (part of a famously emotionally neglected generation).
" friend and Ally he's just kind of weird sometimes"
Classic
My dad got me all the figures he could! Looking back they were like 12 dollars in the 80's. I made myself a Teacher and National Guard and I just hope they are proud of me because they did gave me the best childhood a kid can hope for !
miss he man
Wow! Nostalgic memories, kids these days play with hi-tech toys, those were the best hi-tech toys available for us lol, no play stations/Xboxes lol, 8-bit video games, action figures and weekend morning cartoons.
as a 4 yr old girl i LOVED masters of the universe and had several of these toys as well as transformers....80s toys were just awesome and such good quality
Neon Angel It sounds like you were a Tom boy(:
Sounds like shes awesome!!!
Erick Gaudreault so true
Agreed. So many of us who grew up during that time have now become so nostalgic for those yesteryears of our childhood that many of us flock to comic cons just to see some of that old stuff we grew up on and even take an optimus, he-man, cobra commander, or lion-o home to set up on a bookshelf. I remember flipping over the torn package of my most recently purchased figure to see all the other toys you could collect. I'd set there pointing em out saying, "I want this one next and that one TOO!!!" Hey, do u remember Silverhawks and Battle Beasts?
Dee Ray Silver Hawks ,but not battle beast ,I once showed my nephew the cartoons we had growing up. He flat out said that we have better cartoons!
My uncle used to work at Mattel.....I probably had every He-man collection.....my childhood was great
Thanks for the memories! Sold my figures on a market. Regret it very much. Would like my kids play with them now. It was great fun back then.
I swear these commercials need to be reshot with adults playing with the Origins toys and their children watching and commenting.
That’s kind of how they did that for the origins man-e-faces commercial although it was more of a remake of the original.
They made some retro origins commercials but Idk if their listened
"Can I play too dad?"
"Hell no! get your own!"
MotU was before my time, but lucky for me, I still got to play with them as a kid because my grandparents still had my uncle's old toys in a box! He had tons and my cousins and I always had a blast playing with them.
I'll never forget one particular day- my uncle casually mentioned to us that he used to have an Orko toy, but he buried it in the backyard once and could never find it again. Naturally, i wanted to go out to my grandparents' backyard and find it- AND WE DID! We dug up a bit of earth and there was Orko, found after 15+ years! A little wash and he was good as new!
Luke Schwiebert me too my uncle had the castle grayskull moss man , skeletor , he man , clawful , land shark toy , battle cat , and grizzlor
Creepy
Toy story what ever: orkos revenge.
Im about to ask my parents to buy me these, but then i remember im 30 years old & they are no longer in stores, HA!
AceOfHearts and comic cons in nyc
KEN CANADA those toys today aren't accurate.
Greatest childhood memories were of Masters Of The Universe, going to Toys R Us and seeing them all lined up on the wall, great times.
I'd go to K Mart. I remember fingering through the action figures hoping I'd find that one hard to find action figure like He - Man or Prince Adam.
@@eduardomartinez7227 Frig yeah I remember KMart selling He-Man, priceless memories eh!
I can remember walking down the He-man aisle of TRU and seeing all those shiny bubbles on the blisterpacks. As I got closer, the shine and glare would give way to reveal the figures hidden inside. Row upon row of glorious mysteries waiting to be uncovered!
Well cultured men, starting in the fall of next year Mattel promises that feeling and that sight will return at major retailers.
Looking back at this, I can't believe my parents got their 4 year old daughter a toy called "Fisto" LOL
Jeniko LMAO, seriously!
+Rewayah Azaliyyah different time then. our innocence is gone...
Lol.
haaaahahaha
it was a time, where not everything was over-sexual...good old time ^^
I had so much fun with the Kobra kahn figure just spraying water everywhere :D
How I miss the 80's and my childhood. The exciting toys made a world of their own for me. He-Man toys were the prime examples of great toys that really had an impact of a lifetime.
I miss the good old days :) Should of kept all my He-Man toys
The House of Plum I had alot also but my mom through them all away even all my star wars toys smh =( lol
The only thing I kept was my legos. :)
I'm 40 years old and have started completing my collection all over again buying them on Ebay, and has not been cheap. My 9 year old loves them.
You are going to all that expense to let your 9-year-old play with them? You must be rich...
lolZ rich dude
great mate love those figures so much im starting my soon.
me to im 38 and i wht to get them to i can't wait.dam those action figures i just wht to cry.i wht them bad.i hope that u keep them in good care.joe bye
Tony MEDINA I'm in the same boat you are brother.
I had 10-12 of these figures. It was hell of fun!
I had lots of these. Spydor was my all time favorite toy. Even though it was an evil vehicle, I used to let He Man ride it,because it was so awesome.
Awesome. Love vintage toys.
Classic great toys
I had almost 80% of masters of the universe action figures including the blaster hawk... those were some memories...
I loved these commercials
I still have all my Master of the Universe figures!! Miss those days
I remember this commercial so vividly. I’m 45 now and was the age of the boys in the commercial when it aired.
Also 45 here, and now collecting the Origins figures and sets all over again!
@@fytos76 oh really?!?! That’s really cool. How many figures and accessories have you collected so far?
I was really into He-Man and the rubber WWF action figures mostly.
G.I. Joe was pretty cool as well but those WWF and Masters of the Universe figures were something else.
It's crazy aye i thought no way flawless hard to believe it's coming into 40years yikes ouch getting old suxs what we feeling more and more and times.I love to return in spirit and never leave with stuff like these and others deserves the list is endless to many words to describe another dimension portal World was alive and happening whoever take a stand including these kids like us and everyone that was around we had 2channels video games food video tapes cartoons toys u name it tv shows music ads etc etc scale class and league level than any other in history decade years era etc etc it solely deserves to live on forever and ever eternity i say 80s 80s
Wow I had never seen some of these. Thank you so much for posting them.
takes me back instantly. Forgotten just how many of those figures i had and question where are they all now!!!
Brings back so many memories
Hi guys! I am 47 and still collecting these awesome action figures due mainly to the rememberings involved with my childhood....
Thanks for upload this great treasure!!
Amazing memories these commercials bring back. Thank you for posting this!
Thanks for putting these together and sharing with us. My family and I have been having fun reacting a few of them in our vids. Now we just need the whole collection. 😁👍
i cant believe there still in stock
Theyre returning for the sequel series on netflix. They got more posability though.
@@gordogunso thanks for the news seems pretty interesting
After being cancelled 4 different times that is
I just wish they have the super punch in the origin figures
Man, I just took a trip down memory lane. I had forgotten about so many of these but I had most of them.
Peter Cullen yeah
thanks for this
even in India they sold the toys, I had and still have He-Man and Skeletor toys :)
Oh memories of early 90s....time flew
The best dad ever!
these commercials =me shedding a tear.......Mattel was king back in the 80's...
Holy shit, Optimus Prime was the voice for He Man commercials.
Mind blown.
howyoudurrinhunneh ìfy3y3uru3u3i4iri4u4i4i4i44i4ur
Peter Cullen has done alot of voice overs
Putting the thing together is just part of the fun.
May the mightiest Power prevail!
HE MAN! HE MAN! HE MAN!
great video CLASSIC COMMERCIALS!
These toys were my world! My brother and I spent countless hours playing with our Masters of the Universe toys. Scare Glow was my favorite bad guy.
Peter Cullen: Voice of the 80s... and beyond
Damn straight he is.
This was amazing, really took me back!!
I still have most of my He-man collection. Including Castle Greyskull and Snake mountain.
Same. Well Snake Mountain I got for Christmas 1985 I believe it was, Greyskull I bought second hand off someone 3 years ago.
ryan moreno Lucky you, I lost all mine.
Rewayah Azaliyyah I've been thinking about selling them
ryan moreno If you must, then please find a good home for them! Someone who cares, and will take good care of them. I myself will start re-buying them complete on eBay soon. I will adorn my studios with them. But honestly, if I were you, I will treasure them.. you'll never know the preciousness of the things you have till you lose them..
ryan moreno keep em! believe me you will regret.
God this takes me back. I had nearly all shown.
its too bad this classic he-man toy commercials are not on the dvds as bones features
"bones features" lol
Boneus? Huh?
These toys still brings a smile to my face Thank You for the commercials kids today can have toys like this just ask your parents to head to eBay :)
Awesome. Some of the baddest commercials of all time. Hail He Man and hail The 80's.
I can still remember how Stinkor smelled! I also remember it was a pain to get that slime off Mossman
Mossman was one of the few characters Mattel specifically advised kids NOT to put the slime on. They knew it would be tough to clean the flocked material...but a lot of kids did it anyway.
Spikor was also terrible to use...mine was never totally clean after I slimed him back in '86
I found a Stinkor in a box buried at a comic book store recently and he STILL smelled exactly like he did when I had one back in 85. Toys aren’t made like these anymore.
Lmfao I had moss Man n yeah IT was hell to get IT off
Watching all the 80s toy commercials on this Christmas Eve.
Stonedar and Rock-On...special powers = getting high and going to concerts
Extendar, with the power to increase his reach by 10%
Modulon, it only just now occurred to me they called him that because he was, modular. I guess I didn't know that word as a kid
Dragon Walker,
"oh no, there is a 3 foot wide gap, how will we ever get across it? if only we had a slow moving, overly complicated designed, inefficient moving vehicle that was exactly long enough to bridge the gap... wait, we do!"
Ivan Drago is He-Man The Most Powerful Man in the Universe
"Skeletor, I vill break you!"
As a kid I think this stuff is super cool!
This is the best decade to play toys. As you can see in the ads, both the parents and kids can play together. Nowadays, the kids prefer smartphones or tablets and rarely play toys together with their parents.
It's weird hearing Optimus Prime selling HE-MAN toys
LMAO!! The kids face controlling Fisto when he gets squirted by dragon blaster skeletor was laugh out loud hilarious!!
It's like waiving your hand or shaking your head when you're talking on the telephone!
Holy crap! I remember having both castles, both battle cats, He-Man, Man-E-Faces and Skeletor. This brings back so many memories from my childhood! =O
Makes me want to buy he-man toys and actually play with them
Never forget the Christmas I got Snake Mountain! I had just about all of these!
Same here! I think it was Christmas 1985 I got it. I was pretty jacked.
I'll never forget Christmas in 1985 when my parents/Santa got me attack tracks... I'll never forget how happy I was. I still have it and it still works, but it's in terrible condition from sitting in storage for so many years.
Aww man i so miss those days best toys ever
Miss those days. I had almost all the action figures. I had kept Castle Grayskull with me till I passed high school in 1999 but then sadly it just got infested and i had to throw it away. Battle cat was my fav and i had 3 of those
13:05 Skeletor can read minds, destroy planets, and open dimensional portals, but it wasn't until he got claws that shit got serious.
The dad in these commercials was cool.
Frank Dodd Yes, my dad would have told me to get that shit out of his face.
I still have some toys. They are still working. Love the quality:)
So freaking awesome!!!!!
I used to just love these toy's
Thanks for this... really melancholic 21 minutes!
cool trip down memory lane , cant help thinking how they pumped out those figures and all that cash that was made , all i have left is stinkor and still smells like patchouli lol
Well, this commercial reminds me when surprisingly my mom bought me Skeletor first...when she came home after work, and then she bought me He-man, also the battle cat. What a wonderful childhood memories. Love u mom!
