Hi, Cheri and Baublers. The necklace clasp at 31:54 could be uranium glass though it's not very likely due to the small amount of radioactivity the glass emits. Your clasp stone is most likely yellow Zircon which fluoresces bright green under short wave black light. The rod that looks like a wick is part of the setting and helps hold the gem cabochon in place. There is one other possibility. A synthetic yellow (cerium, yttrium, aluminum) stone (YAG) called a lumogarnet. These are also fluorescent under black light. The round beads on the yellow necklace could be Murano glass. The high pitched "click" that the beads make, when struck together, says that they are definitely glass. Acrylic and plastic beads will make a more dull, thudding sound when struck together. Some good identifications on the multi gemstone necklace at 34:35. The flower shaped spacer beads on that one look like polished bone. The green stones on it look like jasper. The bracelet at 40:21 has blue green aventurine stones. They're very similar to the ones I shared to your Facebook group page. A presidium measures the density and moisture content of gemstone material. Aventurine and aquamarine have a similar density, but aquamarine doesn't have tiny speckles and sparkles inside it, like aventurine does. Aquamarine is beryllium aluminum silicate and aventurine is sodium silicate quartz. The carved earrings at 46:33 are horn. Bake-lite has a much glossier finish than horn. By the way, bake-lite is plastic. The carved earrings at 46:32 are horn. Bakelite (think of it as two words; bake and lite) has a much glossier finish than horn. The glass beads at 50:04 are indeed ron-delles (think of two guys named Ron and Dell). The handmade brooch at 50:34 is made with tiny, spiral shells. 53:28 Jade, rose quartz and mother of pearl. That green and yellow necklace is fun! I believe it’s lucite not glass especially with the seam and the green material inside. Probably made in Japan, the clasp may be marked? Hope you’re doing well :)
