The fact that MJF works the crowd and makes the crowd hate him just so the baby face can be pushed makes him that much better of a wrestler and performer, he’s literally a generational talent, give this man the push he deserves and earned.

Not even close. The heart and soul of pro wrestling would never do a wrestling match where a man jerks off in the middle of the ring while he is wrestling him, nor would he get into a open mouth kissing match with his opponent in order to win..
Moxley is mentally troubled and the wrestling business is his lifeline because if he didn't have this industry he would either be dead or in jail. Moxley isn't main event caliber but benefitted from being in the right place, at the right time and made the right connections.
Just because you give a passionate speech, doesn't mean you become this bastion of righteousness and strength. Moxley helped create this environment by being a mark and speaking very highly of people like Nick Gage, a man who literally almost killed and took advantage of David Arquette.

I'm still unsure if this is a work or not.
The Elite knows they suck. They rarely have ANY buzz. Since they became EVPs they became complacent, like something that would be just fine without existing.
Cm Punk knows these are his last year's and if he doesn't capitalize off his notorious character now, it's never. Tony knows that the best way to use Punk is as a blend between kayfabe and reality. It's like the Shield. You can't make money with Reigns, Ambrose and Seth wrestling in tights and coming to different theme music. The Shield needs their own attire, their own music, their own walk to the ring and their own style of matches.
With ALL that said. It's hard for me to under if it's a work or not. That's what makes this situation unique. Never been before in modern day pro wrestling we ever witnessed something like this.
I will be super excited if they do something with what happened. Kenny and CM Punk apparently had a talk after the fight. So that's that.

A lot of this promo was aimed at the other AEW wrestlers and talents. Mox was watching towards the entrance/locker room when he was talking about passions and leaving the ugly side of the business behind. A very powerful message from a veteran wrestler. He did all of it without showing disrespect to anyone but making it clear that this bs needs to end. Loved it!

This is the most motivated JM I have ever seen ever since his battle with addiction to alcohol. He is more determined than he has ever been. You can feel his drive and his desire to be the best in the wrestling biz and to be world champion again.
Moxley's promos the last two weeks have been really good. I thought him as just a tough guy was really boring before, but Moxley as the passionate wrestler that wants to represent the company is something that works.

This was an absolutely UNTOUCHABLE promo. I'm watching it the entire time as hes building and building and couldn't help but thinking that I am watching history unfold. The words Mox said could be voice overlays for world title matches for years to come. He captured perfectly what the AEW World Heavyweight Championship is all about.

Jon Moxley definitely cut a damn good promo from the bottom of his heart and shown everybody who he really is outside of Pro wrestling without even realizing it scripted but not scripted he was speaking from the heart at the same damn time.
See how MJF inspired him to come up with that? That's evidence its his turn to carry the company.

Moxley is very passionate about AEW because this is all he have right now and he knows their company is in shambles right now. If AEW fails, he's done. Hunter is never getting him back especially that he's the Weakest link in The Shield
That's something I sometimes struggle to understand when reading the comment section. Nothing against MJF, he certainly has a future as being one of the best promos in the history of the business, but during that segment, the really great stuff was what Mox said after MJF had left the ring. It's kinda like in the infamous MJF vs Punk segment when MJF was talking for what felt like half an hour only to get completely burned by what was only a few sentences uttered by Punk. Again, nothing against MJF, but in my opinion he still has to learn a thing or two before he can be called the best promo in the business, because way too often he's going for cheap heat everyone knows is complete BS just for the effect of it. Contrary to that, what MOX said felt completely natural, real and believable. In my opinion, that's what makes for a great promo, not going after the local football (or whatever) team.

With all the craziness going on in AEW right now, I feel like Moxley promo really brought things back down and pulled together that love and passion of AEW. That’s why I fell in love with AEW.

Moxley truly is the Ace of AEW. He's given so much to the company and to wrestling itself. Always loved Mox but there's a new level of respect I have for him now. After everything that happened with him, I forget how Moxley is so great, since he went to AEW he enjoyed the freedom he got, even referenced his own demons, and this might have been one of the promos to consolidate him as a top guy (even with possibly a lot of top talent leaving, regardless of what happened or not)
I agree. Moxley and Jericho since inception of AEW have been reliable. Especially Moxley, at this point Mox is a tweener baby face no one want to boo after this promo. He’s the fucking man, give the man his roses!

I'm not the biggest fan of Moxley, even when he had his first run at the AEW Title belt. But boy, did Jon returned with a vengeance after his rehab and has been killing it since. 👏
Guy seems to be on a mission, and I hate that he had to drop the belt to Punk, because he looked like he was on fire with a burning passion to win in their match at All Out; Punk looked tired and broken down. Mox has been VERY passionate since returning, and his interim championship run was someone who was out to prove he was the best in the business.
@@billywashere6965 He was awful about 2 weeks into since returning. He's actually been making some solid promos again since Punk showed back up. He cut out the stupid shit about drinking blood of hsi enemies and the past few weeks started acting more relatable and human with humility. Not sure what changed. Maybe restrictions with the tv company has cause him to have to adjust his character.
He's an inspiration to me as I've just recently started on his type of journey.

You know, that's a fantastic point. In the midst of all he's done at AEW...and that is a lot in their short existence...it's easy to forget the personal struggles he's been battling, is battling. It takes a lot of fire to make strong steel...and his steel is what he's carried AEW on, time and again. It's important to recognize where he's at now while respecting the difficult road he's taken to get there.
This Jon Moxley promo made up Will Ospreay's mind on signing with AEW. This was such an incredible promo by Mox. He wore his emotions on his sleeve that day.
Moxley has always been the MVP in AEW. Carried the company through the covid and injury crisis.

Moxley reminds me of when Austin left and The Rock came back. He showed the same passion after the title stripping that Rock showed in 02. Tony is right though. Max is back to being the heel we knew he always was. I still loved how he referenced Triple H.

This is will go down as the most underrated promos of all time. This is my favourite promo ever. Mox breathed life back into this company when it was sinking. It was not just for the fans it was for the people backstage. Hell I am not employed by AEW and I'm hella motivated listening to it. It's just phenomenal!
Moxley's promo was pure passion. I really hope those words were heard by Punk and he actually takes it to heart. Not as a scripted champ, but like as a man and worker in the business.
You forgot to mention that those words were directed at the Bucks and Kenny and everyone else in the back as much as they were directed towards Punk. Even assuming it was all an elaborate work, it has made the company and their wrestlers look very bad, so they desperately need to reign that stuff in. If you want to blur the line between fiction and reality, do it like MJF did in the segment before: out in the open and for everyone to see. I was referring to how Mox said how a champion should act and that CM Punk should not think because they write him in to win the belt that he can do what he wants. He needs to hear what Mox is saying and be a little more professional than to go on absolute tirades. The Elite shouldn't have stormed his room in such an aggressive manner, if the reports are to believe, but to expect them not to confront him after he called them out in front of a room of journalists is foolish.

The thing is, that if the reports about how it happens are true, the EVPs of AEW did it in the most unprofessional way possible and if it was a work, it still "makes" the EVPs of AEW look as being very unprofessional about it. And I can't see how that can be of any benefit for AEW (unless you're Corny because he would have a field day if they had to leave the company for sure).

I'm a Moxley fan and I would say it started with his character. When he signed here was when I knew I would be watching. I thought that was real and passionate. I will continue watching this company because Moxley will be apart of it.

This may be my favorite Moxley promo so far, he made you feel his passion for the business, and for AEW and that is the makings of a great promo.

Moxley is like our Okada/Brock. Tony just randomly puts the world title on them and it makes sense and we also love it.
Jon Moxley is the Ace of AEW and we get to see a legend that continues to be made. Put that Championship back on Jon Moxley and give him his long overdue title reign with a crowd.
Mox is legitimately the Ace of AEW. He's the most reliable star by far seemingly and he consistently puts guys over in massive ways with banger matches win, lose, or draw. Not the biggest fan of him necessarily, but he deserves to be the face of the company right now. Taking the title off him to give to an injury-prone, tired CM Punk was a terrible move anyway.
Finally someone says it, that fossil os not gonna hold it down and put up badass matches like moxley, giving him the belt twice was the two worst mistakes

This opening felt like aew took a lead of years just like how in movies they jump from 2000 to 2010. Everything was fresh.

Really for what? All those shitty matches where he goes to the outside of the ring after 10 seconds. Wrestlers actually wrestle in the ring and don’t do all the smoke and mirrors bs to hide the fact they can’t wrestle. Moxley fans blow my mind. He is literally the worst wrestler this generation. He’s a brawler not a technical wrestler. And he has risen to the occasion everytime people have looked for the guy. He is the guy. Reliable as all hell and he builds people up.

Props to Mox and MJF, picking up the slack during the darkest days of AEW. Mox deserves every boon he’s gotten, and MJF deserves everything I know he’s going to get in the years to come.
A lot of this could have been avoided if Tony Khan had went with the obvious choices when he had the chance: Danielson and MJF. Bryan Danielson was the top heel in wrestling, before they tried to use him to legitimate Adam Page's run, as it was lackluster and not drawing in a bigger audience. It didn't work. Page just wasn't ready for that spot and all that comes with it. Then, the clear choice was to have MJF win the Dog Collar match. He would have had two against Punk, been made as made can be and would have been the next ideal guy to take the title off of Page. Instead, Khan tried to play NFL GM games with MJF and got burned. Khan put his eggs in the Punk basket and got burned again. Khan let Jericho and Co. talk him into putting Danielson into a group and jobbing him out every other time you turned around, and got burned again.
Mox has totally earned my respect and fandom. I wasn’t in on the beginning of the interim title run but he’s made every title defense seem as if winning meant everything to him. Even without the title you feel invested with him.
Mox is the guy who made aew and aew championship great. Hats off to him

MJF being insincere and pretending to be a babyface is always so funny to me. Even better when hes actually getting cheered for it.
I think it was smart those people were gunna cheer him no matter what he did, due to his absence. So bringing the heel promo out gradually was the best thing he could do.
MJF has to try so hard to be a heel. He’s going to have to cuck the fans one by one to keep being a heel.

When there's darkness and chaos there's also a chance for heroes to rise and become greatest of legends. I have a feeling that Moxley and Jericho didn't just cut promos, but were having speeches from bottoms of their heart.
I am not surprised that they stepped up and it really shows their character. Also now is the perfect opportunity some younger to shine bright and become a star.
The fact that this man cancelled his 6 week vacation just to save his company from these dark times is enough to show what an absolute gem of a human being is Jon Moxley.
