“You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest, because that’s where you’ll find the things more important than what you want.” -Togashi, playing Dragonquest on hiatus.
Hunter x Hunter is so underrated for all the content it held. The underlying philosophies, the things it chose to focus on or ignore, the way the characters are built, the world-building. So ahead of its time.
most people who make it to the end have a good opinion of it. however many people drop it because the first arcs do not really give you a clue of how good it gets in yorknew or chimera ants.

HxH is my lifetime's favourite. I read it at the age of 14 and now 11 years later, this is the only manga/anime that I still read and continue to wait for, no matter how long it takes. Just more Togashi, more analyses! There are so many things that are worth digging into.
hunter x hunter was the only anime that was able to make me feel this way. i cant really explain that feeling but this anime made me appreciate life a bit more.

Just because someone doesn’t like the same things you like doesn’t mean they are dumb. People like you are everything that’s wrong with the HxH fandom.
i feel the same way too; no matter how many people i talk to hxh about, and no matter how often i do it, it will never be enough. after 5 years it still has the same exact impact on me. i've changed so much these past few years but my love for hxh remains, because it was the reason and instigator to a lot of the change i've gone through. i really can not put the feeling hxh gives me into words. when i watch it, i'm just at peace. i never thought i could love anything, let alone an anime, as much as i love hxh. i owe togashi big time, cause as much as it shaped me, it also saved me. i would not be here right now if it wasnt for this anime. i will be forever grateful for its existence.
Hunter is pinnacle of Shounen manga/anime. If only our timeline was the one where Togashi was healthy enough to update it regularly especially since this latest arc is honestly nuts. I can only imagine what kind of crescendo of chaos Togashi is building up towards, but all I know is it will be glorious. Also I think Hisoka is that troll character who had the ability to create hiding spaces who was spying on the Phantom Troupe. I think this because we haven’t been introduced to anyone else who leveled up enough to get a Nen ability from Tserrid’s sister and we all know Hisoka could do that quite easily.
" If only our timeline was the one where Togashi was healthy enough to update it" Holy shit, if that happened then Yu Yu Hakusho would probably have gone a little longer and gotten a proper ending.

I love Togashi for creating HxH. I hate him for introducing an Arc as ambitious as the Dark Continent when he knows damn well he doesn't have the work capacity to finish it. It's either going to remain incomplete or be a disappointment like Toriko's take of it.

It makes so much sense that this would be Ging’s message for Gon when they finally meet as Gon’s mission for the show was to find his dad. He focused on a goal. An end point. But in his efforts to find his dad he experienced amazing things. He got his Hunters License. He battled in a world tournament. He made new friends. He played his dads game. So while Gon was focussed on his goal of finding his dad he had the journey of his lifetime and grew as a human. It was his journey that gave him his experiences. And in the end he got to meet his dad too.
I’m currently re watching hxh the English dub version, and just today I bought the manga that continues past the anime and I bought every volume, I am beyond exited that I’m getting to read more hxh content. I will always appreciate this series and hold it close to my heart
I love this video as well. I watched HxH a couple years ago, and it immediately rose to my favourite anime of all time, and it still is. HxH is so rich, in so many ways. The only anime I ever cried at the last episode, not because it was sad, but because I was sad that such a beautiful adventure had come to an end. By the end of the series, you are just so attached to the characters, who have been through so much and I feel like even us viewers have been on an adventure, along with the characters we grow too. I learnt a lot from hunter x hunter, and I still do. It's just such a beautiful piece of art. I have watched so many anime. But I always come back to hunter x hunter. It's just... it just has a kind of spark, a soul, that no other anime has.

One Piece is as plot driven a show as you'll ever be able to find. I highly recommend watching it on OnePace; it removes all the filers and unnecessary fluff and does the manga justice imo
togashi knows how to build characters, and the strongest one is gon. what sets him apart from other shonen mcs is that he's willing to challenge people and things out of his league because he sees it as a way to improve himself, instead of a test to his own self esteem. he's not scared of rejection, he's not even asking people to accept him. he's just following his heart and curiosity to grow stronger. call him naive, or a narcissist, but I think that's what sets him apart from most shonen characters who only grow for the sake of plot. in the same way gon inspires the people he meets like killua, we feel the same magic.

Thanks for pointing that out! His channel's solid for HxH. Will watch his stuff. I guess one idea you could do for a future video is "what makes a compelling shonen villain". I mean while technically true, I don't even see Alluka as "trans". Like, she's just someone who considers herself a girl despite what she was born with. Which is technically the same thing but it doesn't _feel_ like the same thing. The story isn't drawing any unnecessary attention to it, it's just a thing that exists, so to speak.
Can I ask something? All these themes in anime and tv shows and movies is something I need explained to me. Is that a sign of my blatant ignorance? Good Video.
HxH (1999) was the best thing I ever watched, but now it's just below average to me, Togashi and MAD house fucked it for me, I stopped watching this shit when one of the characters become a bike, like seriously.
She’s so surprisingly insightful, right? I didn’t even know it was POSSIBLE to pick up on Gon’s creepiness as early as your first viewing of episode 2.
Why are you tubers saying aluka is trans? It’s a case of Split personality. One acts as a guy and the other female and how people treat the person is how they intend on “using” her as a family member.

if i were you i'd wait until it's announced he'll come back (for at least 10 more chapters)
HxH (1999) was the best thing I ever watched, but now it's just below average to me, Togashi and MAD house fucked it for me, I stopped watching this shit when one of the characters become a bike, like seriously.
funy haha i love the show
Watch Grand line waifu review the series..
She’s so surprisingly insightful, right? I didn’t even know it was POSSIBLE to pick up on Gon’s creepiness as early as your first viewing of episode 2.
It’s just biology
Alukka is girl
Nanika is boy
Wait, do people actually make friends here? Huh, i didn't know it did that..

It's April 1st, it's all a joke...jk

Is this a trick?
Bro I remember seeing u on chibis review on hxh vids
*it could be hunter hunter*
Why are you tubers saying aluka is trans? It’s a case of Split personality. One acts as a guy and the other female and how people treat the person is how they intend on “using” her as a family member.
Yo can anyone tell me one major plot hole in Hunter x Hunter?
How long is this intro... boring
So glad this trash show is getting cancelled
