Loved this vid so much! Would you be able to do a separate video on how you run your own clinic? Including details such as how you get your Botox and other products supplied to you? And pros/cons of running your own clinic? Thank you so much!!
I’m so grateful for this video! 🙏🏼I have been fighting to become an injector for the past 7 years. I’ve done injector courses in Asia, practiced in Switzerland 🇨🇭with a doctors permission and special conditions for my “patients”. I just couldn’t wait to finally become “official” . I’ve finally gotten into medical school ! I can agree with all points that have been mentioned in the video! It’s all in point !This video is so on Time! 🙏🏼
Hi Luna! Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! So exciting to hear about your journey and I wish you all the best with medical school! So many exciting things to come for you!!
@@thefitinjector I'm honestly thinking about just paying for all the training I can and then starting my own business. I have fought for the position as well and I have made an excellent resume and cover letter and its still not working, as a male there are a lot of benefits to hiring me as it is even more female dominated than your usual nursing. There is a certain edge businesses can have by having a male because it attracts male clientele and increases their confidence to discuss aesthetic concerns, and there are many female clients who would be very receptive to inputs and suggestions of a male cosmetic injector. I just say that they will regret not hiring me as I will become their competition instead! (Obviously, not to them directly but internally). Also on another note I got invited in for an interview and told a traineeship position opened up and I was not expected to have any prior experience and she already had access to all my relevant experience and when I was registered, but then she totally back tracked and told me that she was looking for someone with hospital experience and is leaning towards someone with prior cosmetic injector experience. I find it really unprofessional and inconsiderate when they change their mind on what they're looking for after you come in, it's really dishonest. They should be aware of what they're looking for and decide whether your experience is sufficient based on the resume before calling someone in for an interview.
Great informative vid, really authentic and interesting, I know when I did my beauty diploma in 2007 I assumed it was a glamour industry, it wasn’t working for salons that only wanted profit from products. Good on you for making it relatable for anyone thinking of it as a career. Xox
@@thefitinjector yes I got into it thinking it was about the treating skin conditions which is my passion. It was about retail profit which from a business perspective is essential, that could just be the Gold Coast. @@tonifoster6253 Love treating skin conditions! That’s sooo interesting that it’s that way and the comparison with beauty salons and day spas ... assume it’s the same everywhere!

Thank you for your helpful and informative video 💗 I am soo excited to start my own business I’m a registered nurse with aesthetic experience. I would love to have a one on one chat to really get the most knowledge on how to start my own clinic 😍
love the video, so informative 🤗❤️ I am an RN trying to get into the aesthetics world, I’ve order books and started doing my own education! I think my next step is professional injection training. Do you recommend doing the one day training courses on your own, or do you know if employeers will help train nurses as well upon hire! Thanks :)!
Hi Amanda! So exciting! Love that you have started your own education! If you are wanting to work in a clinic as an employee/contractor, I would recommend reaching out to places that you're interested in working with and asking what their requirements are (some places will require you do your own training prior and other places will do on the job training and book/pay for external training as part of the induction process). Looking forward to updates on your journey!
Thank you! Depends on where you are located! Here in Australia you must be a Registered Nurse or Doctor to do cosmetic injectables (or an Enrolled Nurse, however, supervision is required from a RN or DR).
If there are not many medspas in my area would it be okay to get trained and open my own clinic out the gate? With good training and safety first of course!!
Possibly yes, I would recommend you book a consult with a practitioner who treats the body areas to assess your suitability for this or other treatments such as fat freezing or liposuction 💉
Hello I just finished school (RN) and plan on becoming an injector, as a male. What did your time-line look like from graduation to where you are now? Any courses you prefer over others?
Hello! That's so exciting! I do have another video on my journey but in a nutshell was - uni, grad year in a hospital, years of hospital work then into a cosmetic/skin clinic which offered all on the job training then more clinics, contract work, renting rooms, own business!
Thank you for your channel! Any advice for someone entering nursing school? I’m 29, and have made the decision to do the RN program this fall. I have worked previously as a makeup artist and beauty advisor, I think this will be the perfect career for me. I’ve also been a nurses aide. It’s like it combines my interests. I guess since I am an older student I am feeling some “imposter syndrome” and doubting my abilities. I feel like I’m too old to start and won’t get chosen for jobs because I’m older. Any advice?
Hi! Loved your video! This might be a dumb question but as an aesthetic nurse, do you get discounts on injections? I’m in nursing school and I’ve always been interested in being an aesthetic nurse!
Hi! Thank you so much! Ask anything you like! Do you mean do I get discounts when doing injections for myself? If so, no as I own my own business so I pay for everything lol!
Be really open & honest at the consultation. Go through all the risks, expected results, treatment plan. Take photos & book follow up review appointments. This will give the client confidence to raise any concerns with you and feel supported through this.
You will need Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance which covers the treatments you will be providing. If you are taking on a commercial lease for your clinic you will be required to have a certain amount of insurance also.
@@kataleen Yes I know now just hadn’t seen it written as LPN as we have different wording in Australia! So as a LPN works under supervision from a RN you will need to research the scope of practice for your location as it does vary. Usually this means you can train & do injectables but may have difficulty gaining employment as you will require RN or DR supervision, most cosmetic injectors work independently 💉💋
Depends on what structure you have & what level you’re currently at - are you getting started or already working? Do you work for a clinic or have your own business? What type of training do you feel you need? Face to face or online? 💉💋
