The Gen IV will always be my favorite because of a few reasons. When I was about 8 I got my first Pokemon game, Diamond. I ADORED the series for about 3 years at that point and knew every Pokemon up to then by heart and I got it on that Christmas it game out. I cried. When I found out lots if my favorite Pokemon from Gen 3 and down got new evolutions, I was so happy. Oh dear lord I remember the chills the openings game me, Dialga and Palkia were always so intimidating and rad. All of the new legends were added and the concepts of a god Pokemon and the Pokemon of time and space. The Pokemon of joy and feeling and knowledge. They all appeared and I was pure shit at the game and it took me till I got Platinum as soon as it came out because it made me fall in love with the games. I love Gen 4 because I honestly even think Lickilicki is kawaii.
I don't understand why people constantly argue over what gen is better! In my opinion every Pokemon game is good and I've had tons of fun and was never bored with any of them! Yes, people can have they're own opinions just like I have mine but please can we stop arguing over a game that is supposed to bring us together positively!

every game has this intro with normal pokemon music, but then pokemon diamond pearl and platinum has this really intense intro with really slow mystirous music on the title screen instead of every other pokemon game
ViEn Gamer I don't either ;_; But my sis is getting both the games so she'll let me use her old 3ds to play Alpha Sapphire because Sapphire was the first game I finished and raided my starter up to lvl 100, and the exact same thing with Ruby for my sis, except she found the Ruby cartridge in a lost gameboy advance sp and that was our first encounter with Pokemon!
Honestly, I've always found Diamond/Pearl, and Black/White's intro's to be quite cringe worthy. It's almost as if Nintendo knew at the time, Pokemon's popularity was suffering, so they wanted to make it darker and edgier. (No surprise those are my least favorite games.) But then X and Y came out, and the sound of that light hearted classic intro was all I needed to hear!

Black and White 2 my fist pokemon game and i love it.
Gen 1 is worst.
Gen 2, Gen 6 and Gen 5 are ok.
Haven't played Gen 3.
Gen 4 is best.

I have played pokemon since the beginning... I can honestly say that games I had the most fun where Gen 3 and Gen 5
Notice im not saying they are the best but the ones I enjoyed the most.
X and Y intros are the most disappointing.

When I started playing white 2 I started crying although I was about 13 I love remakes they always make me feel happy
Anyone else noticed that the pokemon poses on Fire Red and Leaf green looks like the trading game counterparts?
Soon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be added :D Can't wait to get my hands on those games.
Damn, the first 3 generations and the remakes (Firered/Leafgreen, Heartgold/Soulsilver and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire) give me so many nostalgia!!! :O :') Ooohhh memories. :')

sooooooo many memories,,, black and white, I had black version first, then white, then silver, them fire red, the emerald
gen 4 was my favorite. i felt that it perfected the 2D art style. i liked some of the sprites in gen 5 but alot of them were too grainy for me
