Brandon. Chef Brandon 😅 you are right you did a great job and Ms Ming it’s so nice to see y’all two agree on the 8.5. Y’all are one of my favorite RUclips couples. Down to earth and funny.
Really?! That’s funny!!! Hey it kinda happened to me for some items! The cooking time is usually not perfect on the instructions! We almost always have to adjust a bit!
I’ve cooked three of these. One of them thawed in the refrigerator. The other two were straight from the freezer. Got better results straight from the freezer. Less dry and more crispy.
As I watched this I remembered I had them in the freezer I made it as a midnight snack! No oil at all is needed I dipped in sweet chili sauce it was delicious!! Didn’t even need salt’ I’m very picky with food this was excellent I will stock up next time!
These are pretty yummy. A buy-it-again for sure. In Hawaii, folks love meat or fish/seafood versions the most. Menus there usually spell it jun. Never been to Korea, but have been told veggie versions are more common there.Loved the TJ version with a dab of Lao Gan Ma chilis and oil.
So I was looking for Chinese style scallion pancakes and this was the first video that came up. And I saw this Trader Joe's Scallion Pancake and I thought, what the heck is that? And then you explained it was Korean style and then I remembered ... oh yeah, I remember when I stayed with my brother's (Korean) in-laws that we had those for breakfast. Haha, I didn't even think of them as "scallion pancakes" at all! I didn't ask what they were, they were just yummy. I thought they were more like omelets or okonomiyaki sort of. Anyway, thanks for informing of what they were! I'm still looking for Chinese style though. Oh well, good stuff either way!
Thanks for watching! Yes I haven’t had the chinese ones for a while too~ it’s not popular in America. But in China they are everywhere ~~~ I hope to find them somewhere in store too~ let me know when you see them ;)
@@MsMinglifestyle Thanks! I've actually never been to Trader Joe's, but ironically I found what I was looking for a few minutes after I commented: www.mashed.com/449124/trader-joes-fans-are-loving-its-new-taiwanese-green-onion-pancakes/ I'll admit my ignorance ... I don't actually know whether this is "the" Chinese style of scallion pancakes, but it's what I was looking for. (My dad is Taiwanese.)
Oh nice!! I need to find this item! Hopefully they are offered in my Trader Joe’s. Sometimes their items run out or they rotate different items. Thank you for letting me know! It looks pretty legit!
Have you read the reviews on the pan ? Not the reviews on the page where they are selling the pan but the reviews by the people who have bought it.I love those pancakes.I use a very small amount of butter when I cook them.I don't care for vegetable oil.The sealing bag is great.
I wanted the blue one for my Birthday. My Husband did some research and refused to buy it so I have personally never used one.He went with Green pan brand.
I love these! Best straight out of the freezer into frying pan. One teaspoon oil is great. You can blot with paper towel if too much oil. I use a pizza cutter to make nice triangles. Experimenting with dipping sauce. I found these two annoying, sorry.
@Ms.Ming totally. Yours was pure scallion smaller and sooo much more greener. The one I had is like the Indian paratha they sell but with few scallions in it. Let me know! I'm on the east coast I couldn't believe it when I saw your pancake yesterday

Thank you 😊!!
You’re welcome 😊
I work at Trader Joe’s and the inside secret is don’t follow the packages directions, it’s usually all wrong 😂

Thank you!! Showed me exactly how to cook it!
Thanks for watching!!

Yup yup! It’s good as it is! It tasted pretty authentic to me~

So good! Yea I love their chili oil too! It’s healthier too!
Even better with maple syrup😂

Hey OVER THE OIL! Good Lord!!!! I ❤️ the pan in blue🥰
It’s the always pan! Sadly my husband already burnt it one year later :(
so good

Honestly I heard good reviews but a lot of them are influencers lol
I wanted the blue one for my Birthday. My Husband did some research and refused to buy it so I have personally never used one.He went with Green pan brand.
That looks good...I’ll try it. Do they taste like potato pancakes? Nice frying pan too!
Nah, these are not made of potato. It’s the Asian kind :)

Couldn't you have just put it down on a paper towel to drain the excess oil before you ate it?
That’s true 😂
Wow they don't make them like these with this much scallion anymore. They make them bigger now with less scallions. Making it now!
Really?! I didn’t know they changed the recipe 🥲🥲

I guess I looked on the package just now it says Taiwanese scallion pancake
@@cream2895 oh yea they probably changed it 🥲
I just looked at my package. They are actually called Green Onion Pancakes now. I love how they sort of puff up a bit as I’m sautéing them. Delicious!
I air fry it
That’s a great idea!
Haha the first one had a little too much oil, but looks good overall as a product, I love scallion pancakes too ☺️
I totally agree!
She hates oil. Got it
What kind of pan is that?
It’s “the always pan”~ we got it as Christmas present last year~
