I do think I like the third the most. Option 2 would become a pain in the neck faster than Superman in the speeding…you know, the thing….and how long before it wears out it’s welcome (😎), being taken off and put back on over and over. Yea…I think you got a winner in option 3!!
I went through this a couple of years ago when my well went dry. The best solution for putting a garden hose on a tote was a 2" camlock fitting to 3/4" gardern hose male fitting. $20 The cheaper fitting was an ibc 2" threaded fitting to 3/4" garden hose fitting. $15+ both work well and both are made with abs plastic. Btw I elevated my totes on pallets. Good luck out there guys.
Hi Ed, great video! I am also using an IBC tote for water irrigation and came across an adapter that fits most totes. Google IBC tote female (2” thread) to 3/4” garden hose thread. I’ve had this adapter for about 3 years and solves the problem. I think it costs around $15 back about 3 years ago, well worth it I thought. Anyways, just a suggestion. Have a great day!
Great solutions Ed! I was lazy and just bought a premade connector for $20-25? It screws on the IBC tote & connects to a garden hose. Be careful with water filled totes!!! I have a video where I almost flipped my tractor sideways with a tote. ….also Mike Morgan just had a nice setup with a harbor freight pump that gave him hose water pressure. Great job on your video! Keep’em coming!
How's she goin'? Nice solution to a nagging problem!! IBC totes look to be so handy to have, yet they often present some pretty high hurdles!! You cleared this one no trouble!! Take care!!
Hi Ed, you have a great solution there. I really like your solution best. Short, with a little give to it. I've got to find me a couple of those totes up here in Massachusetts or RI area. Thank you for sharing. Dan😊
If you get a chance to use one please do. I have cut down 18 trees, 3 of them 27” and bigger. Dug out all three stumps with it. The other trees was 8”s or less. So logs stumps brush no problem. Back blade with it. You don’t have to chase a pile of dirt and ramp your tractor into it. Drive up open the bucket put it over the pile done. But this bucket is heavy. That’s the only draw back. Ok thank you for writing back. I do enjoy your videos.
It is good the see what options you have and it does not looks straight forward, thanks. We are lucky over here as you can buy a number of different adapter that fit onto the IBC that either have a quick adapter for a hose or a thread for a garden tap ot both
I also wanted to do that to water 21 trees along my road I just planted. Plus some grass I put down. I would use rain water as much as I could. That idea would work great for that. I have one question. I also have a B2601 how full can you get that before it’s to heavy for the tractor?
Water weighs 8 lb per gallon approx. So look at your specs for tractor max lift subtract the weight of forks, empty IBC tote the balance divided by 8 equals max number of gallons. Give yourself a margin of error.
Hi Ed! Colleen noticed that your arm brace is gone; good job there. Cost-effective would be my choice so I like option three. Now my question is where do you guys get your IBC totes? Do people give them away for free? I see a lot of people on RUclips channels with IBC totes. Anyway, you did a very nice video and Colleen and I are glad you’re feeling better.
Thanks. I’m still wearing the splint but took it off for the video. It’s been 4 weeks and I have a follow up next week. Still pretty painful! I bought a couple totes from a local mulch manufacturer for $50 ea. The dye comes in totes. Then an irrigation company gave me some. They purchase fertilizer in them.
I have several totes as well, and have been using the second solution for a few years now. I like the convenience of a quick-disconnect. Question. Ever consider getting a step for your tractor? Being a retired and old military guy, my knees don't work as well as they should. I saw on another channel you can buy a Kubota factory step that fits the B2601, and they are easy to install and dirt cheap to buy. ruclips.net/video/IsFX8BvreHE/видео.html I was hesitant at first, but bought one anyways and it's turned out to be some of the best money I've spent on accessorizing my B2601 in a while, other than the ROPS lights, steering wheel knob, and ammo can tool box to replace the factory installed one. BTW, just bought a tiller like yours. Kubota should give you a cut, in my opinion. Great Channel, keep up the good work.
Good video. It will be very helpful to a lot of people.

Great video Ed. Good ideas. I gotta run to the washroom now after watching and hearing that water run! 👍👍👍
🤣🤣🤣
That's a great idea we have many of these IBC totes. Mainly use these a firewood totes..
That is a very good solution Ed. Very good flow and it is flexible and can take a hit. Thanks for sharing 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Thanks Mitch!
Thanks Ed, the world of RUclips has helped a lot of people. When I'm in doubt/stumped, I always go to RUclips. A lot of great ideas are shared.
I VOTE for Quick coupler option!
Nice idea Mr. Ed, You always do the R & D, we get to reap the benefits. Thank you sir.
Thanks BB!
That has made me totally change what I was going to do for my watering chores!!! Thanks a bunch
You are so welcome! Good luck!

Wow Ed, that's a great solution to a problem I didn't even know existed! Very nice. Also...loved the music choices! 👍😎
Thank you!! After going to Tractor supplies And amazon Was very stressful thx again
Hey I’m likin this!! Great water collection! I’ll be following your lead!
Ed I did your option 2 . Easy on and off. I water trees a lot especially this year with being so dry here
It’s SO dry here too Bob!
I never thought about your option 3 I did the number 2 with mine but I had everything sitting around for it luckily great video ED
Thanks Jeff!
Wonderful. Thanks ✌
I gotta go now!
Good Evening Sir Ed 👌😇👍This is an OUTSTANDING Gravity water hose Idea Sir for your Tote 👍😇👌 Nice music and close views too Sir Cheers 🎵👌😇👍✨🚀🍻
Thank you, David!

Thanks much! Find a mulch manufacturer if you can. They use lots of totes!
Yup. That's the deal. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip. Good video & info. 👍🏼
Very helpful Ed! I do like the 2nd option so it's tool-less to swap the fitting around as needed, but 3rd option is great for longer.
Thanks Ross!
Great, this is an affordable option that I have been looking for. Thank you very much.
Hi Eddie, I really like your water boxes. question: how many gallons in each water boxes? I really like you camera angles!!!! Thank you.
Thank you! They hold 275 gallons but by tractor can only lift 100 gals. Very heavy!
The three point hitch has more lift capacity and they do make forks for that end if you need a lot more gallon capacity
Great point!
I was wondering if you ever thought about trying a CB1060 land pride 4 in 1 bucket.
I have one on my B2601 and love it.
I haven’t but it sounds interesting!

Hey Ed! Be aware with option 1. iBC totes come with at least 3 different thread types(that's how many I have seen so far).
Good to know!
This is a great solution. Thanks. 🎉

I have one question. I also have a B2601 how full can you get that before it’s to heavy for the tractor?
That’s the biggest problem. Maybe not even 100 gals!
Water weighs 8 lb per gallon approx. So look at your specs for tractor max lift subtract the weight of forks, empty IBC tote the balance divided by 8 equals max number of gallons. Give yourself a margin of error.

Thanks Nick!
For option 3, what do I need when I’m in Home Depot tomorrow? 2 inch Fernco connector and what?
Lets see you fill that tank with it in the air like that! 🙂
If I want to tip my tractor 😄
Why don't you put some air pressure in the tank to increase the effective water pressure.
Also, if you raise the height of the tank one foot of head is equal to . 433 PSI.
I’m with you. I was playing with ideas to use my leaf blower to pressurize the tank 👍
what size of tractor is the kubota
B2601. It can’t lift more than 100 gallons in the container.
How’s your wrist, Ed?
Improving! Thank you. Still quite painful if I use it.
