and the Big E on the steel guitar just swinging around slowly in the rhythm of the song, with a small grin on his face smiling through his sun glasses, playing so effortlessly not even looking at his guitar ... there never was or will be a steel player with more charisma then Buddy Emmons ....
Five minutes well spent. What a lineup. Emmons was "thee" premier pedal steel player. Like Sinatra or Cary Grant, we might never see another one like him.
How in the world could anyone give a thumbs down on this top shelf video. Mark, Thanks for sharing this gem. Seen ya perform a long time ago in Vermont at a guitar convention. My Ben & Jerry's melted.
Came here to see Buddy Emmons, got 4 bonuses. I am sure the guy on the sound board is very talented. But I wanted to watch Buddy play. And didn't care about seeing anything but his fingers on the steel guitar.

You are so right about Buddy Emmons. He can make a mistake and laugh it off, most players cannot do that.
Ralph Mooney the best on pedal steel

It's a little thing but Jerry's turnaround at 1:19 slays me every time
I love how he just tossed the bow. Everyone of these guys are genius.
Everyone of these men are great musicians. You can see why they are studio musicians.

Rock Candy.
Love Jerry Douglas' grin when he watches Buddy take his solo....and mash 3 pedals at once...
Then it cuts to buddy and he’s not even looking down, ha!
