As a PWD (Person With Disability) that has 2 very painful spine diseases, sometimes hope runs thin on bad days. So when i heard this and saw Ms. Menzel sing it flawlessly, i cried for a while. I realized that today may be a bad day, but perhaps tomorrow might be better (or at least i'll get some hours of respite). Thank you for this inspiration, Ms. Idina Menzel . Bless your lovely voice and kind heart.
I hope your health is better. We all hope for a better tomorrow, even now, and people whose health is suffering deserve that more than others. One big hug!
I think Idina gets even prettier as she gets older. She also has fabulous hair. I'm glad she can control her vocals because some singers always belt everything.
Annie's Tomorrow sounds really like a little girl dreaming for hope and a better life tomorrow, while Idina's sound like she had a depressing day and she's making her mind to keep going on!
This was me and my best friend's song. We used to sing it together on the swings, screaming the last note way out of tune. When we went to go see Idina in concert together, she sang this song. Thank you Idina, you made us so happy. Now I can hear this beautiful song by her whenever I want.
I don't know if I am explaining it right, but I really like that she don't have this typical "too perfect sweet voice"like other Broadway and disney singers who sounds very calculated ( but sounds lovely) when singing. Her voice unintentionally put so much character on the song. Like lots of singer sings defying gravity and it sounds perfect, and that's all it is..... a song. Idina on the other hand sings it as if she really has gone through what the song is saying and it makes the song more of a story.
Because Idina brings out the depth in that song in such an amazing, heart-breaking way. It's easy to underestimate "Tomorrow" - until one watches her performance.
I just started reading “Voice Lessons” by Cara Mentzel (Forward by Idina Menzel) and in it, when Idina was a child she performed this song on a vacation (I think it was) and other kids sang songs too, but once Idina went on stage everyone was silent and looked at her. At that moment everyone knew Idina didn’t just like singing. She was a singer. Very special to hear her sing that song here. Recommend this book to everyone.😍
This song has helped me through the death of my father 💚 1 year and 8 months later, it can be a heavy weight on my heart. The sun will come out tomorrow!
This is an amazing performance and probably my favorite rendition of this song. Although it made me sad, it was great to see Marvin Hamlisch's smile-may he rest in peace....
This song will always be special to me since I had the good fortune of playing Daddy Warbucks in two different productions of the musical Annie. Idina's grownup version of the song is beautiful and clearly heartfelt.
This song is so pretty and I love her vocal and dramatic choices. She's one of my favorite performers. A true inspiration. P.S. I love that she took the lower note at the end.
My wife is currently very ill and I haven't been able to see her in hospital for the past 3 months due to her state of mind. Even though she never wants to see me again, boy, do I wish I could just play her this song. It might not make things better, but she really needs hope right now and this is the kind of hope I wish I could give her.
IDINA MENZEL! She is Is absolutely an INCREDIBLE STAR already! She has A Beautiful Voice +Great Passion + Is A Beautiful Woman! ! What a wonderful treat! IDINA = A RARE GIFT to music lovers!
I won't forget mentioning Annie as a show she went to see growing up at the end of her Tony acceptance speech. She has good taste when it comes to the classics.
Whenever I hear someone sing this, all I can imagine is Audra McDonald singing this in the 1999 version of Annie. But wow Idina blows this out of the park, as always
Amazingly beautiful voice and stellar arrangement! Thank you Idina for a magical night in Toronto that l will never forget, andwhich is immortalized on DVD. Even saw myself in the vid...bonus:)
Isnt it nice to listen to an accomplished artist who knows how to sing and make the song the center of the performance and not themselves? Attention all you yowlers and howlers and screechers on the Voice, and Idol and whatever-listen to THIS and learn
there's no describing how much i love this woman and how much she inspires me. her voice is so unique and so perfect. she's amazing. i'm so glad i have her to look up to. if i ever can be as half as good as she is i'll be satisfied.
Just wanted to say thank you idina for sharing your magical and beautfully mastered voice and spirit with me and the world, the minute i heard ur voice from frozen you just mesmorized me and i cant thank you enough, the week after i saw frozen i watched rent and my goodness its the movie i say for the question whats my favirote movie its rent, really life changing, i love ur voice, and i always will hope u get to read this i love you thanks so much see you "tommrow" :)
It's somehow sweet to think of that Annie was the musical that Idina wanted to star in as a girl and now she can sing every song she wants to sing from every musical ever written and everyone will love her for it...
I discovered Idina on Glee and have loved everything I have seen her do. In fact she has done the only other acceptable version of I know him so well, I have always been partial to Whitney's version but she knocked it out of the park
The sun'll come out Tomorrow Bet your bottom dollar That tomorrow There'll be sun! Just thinkin' about Tomorrow Clears away the cobwebs, And the sorrow 'Til there's none! When I'm stuck in a day That's gray, And lonely, I just stick out my chin And Grin, And Say, Oh The sun'll come out Tomorrow So ya gotta hang on 'Til tomorrow Come what may Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya Tomorrow! You're always A day A way! Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya Tomorrow! You're always A day A way!
I expected more of a bombastic arrangement. But Idina's vocals here are good enough. Annie was one of my musical baby steps before i saw Wicked. And nothing like a song where time has been powerless to put it's message out of fashion.
OMG. There is no better, see her live if you have a chance. even if they are crap cheep tix, go!!!!!!!! She will bring tears to your eyes in such a good way. So beautifull to look at and to listen too. they go hand in hand. Her music brings so much joy. Be a part!
@ibpeppers the song is "Tomorrow" from the musical "Annie" It is a show about an orphan girl whom has a horrible headmistress at her orphanage until she finds a home. She sings this song to teach that things get better.

Here's wishing you more good days than bad. You are a beautiful person no matter what.
Ryan Schmandt Thank you so very much for your kindness. Take care always :)
I'm so sorry to hear that but I wish you the best. Wishing and beliving is already a step forward, so I hope you'll get better.
Thank you, Tela TearereGermain 😊 Sending you warm regards and well wishes too. With love from the Philippines 💗
I hope your health is better. We all hope for a better tomorrow, even now, and people whose health is suffering deserve that more than others. One big hug!

The more beautiful she gets, the older i get.

@MsDiamondSaphire This DVD is playable everywhere! -Idina's Admin
didnt we all begin our passions for musical theater with this song and with annie? i love you idina
Yaaas
Well i saw a production of Annie Jr two years before i saw Wicked. I didn't start going to musicals without a class field trip yet.
Mine started with Wicked
Annie's Tomorrow sounds really like a little girl dreaming for hope and a better life tomorrow, while Idina's sound like she had a depressing day and she's making her mind to keep going on!
That's a nice way to put it
She sounds like she's talking someone off a ledge
I like Idina’s take on this song
Clearly born to be on Broadway. Thank you for your voice
Wicked was the first cast recording i ever heard
This was me and my best friend's song. We used to sing it together on the swings, screaming the last note way out of tune. When we went to go see Idina in concert together, she sang this song. Thank you Idina, you made us so happy. Now I can hear this beautiful song by her whenever I want.
'Annie' was my favourite as a child and to listen to Idina sing this song is absolutely perfect.
She sang this in June when I saw her live. Safe to say, I cried. A lot.
I made the right decision pressing on this video
Emily skinner
I made the right decision on passing up this video to get to the version sung by Sydnie Christmas.
I don't know if I am explaining it right, but I really like that she don't have this typical "too perfect sweet voice"like other Broadway and disney singers who sounds very calculated ( but sounds lovely) when singing. DAMNIT IDINA STOP BEING SO PERFECT
This video almost made me cry
Because Idina brings out the depth in that song in such an amazing, heart-breaking way.
It's easy to underestimate "Tomorrow" - until one watches her performance.
Idina is one of the most wholesome people I’ve met. She’s lovely and loves everyone. 100% genuine
I just started reading “Voice Lessons” by Cara Mentzel (Forward by Idina Menzel) and in it, when Idina was a child she performed this song on a vacation (I think it was) and other kids sang songs too, but once Idina went on stage everyone was silent and looked at her. Recommend this book to everyone.😍
Kaylee C I bought it on amazon. It was an used one.
Normally, I wouldn't like this style of music, but her voice is so unique that it does it justice in a way even I can't explain
One of the most beautiful perfomances ever
One of my favorite Broadway stars singing from one of my favorite musicals. That brought tears to my eyes.
How does Irina Menzel never age ? She's always been so beautiful & I stand by the fact that she probably always will be
She was beautiful years before the Frozen craze. And i say that as a Wicked fan and a Renthead
Everyone may hear Elsa, but I hear Elphaba so much when she sings :)
Same!!
What you doing
same
Same
Gurl I'm hearing Idina lol. But she originated Elphaba... she practically *is* her...
Her voice is breath taking. Tears every time I hear this song. So beautiful!
This song will always be special to me since I had the good fortune of playing Daddy Warbucks in two different productions of the musical Annie. Idina's grownup version of the song is beautiful and clearly heartfelt.
Her voice ALWAYS gives me goosebumps.
She’s been the “voice” of musicals for me...the last 15 yrs. love her voice !
Her version was very different, but in a good way.
This song is so pretty and I love her vocal and dramatic choices. She's one of my favorite performers. A true inspiration. P.S. I love that she took the lower note at the end.
Can never get enough of this performance, she is just awesome! I hope she will come in Tahiti one day
Tour de force performance. A brilliant Hamlisch arrangement. If this doesn't move you, you're dead.
My wife is currently very ill and I haven't been able to see her in hospital for the past 3 months due to her state of mind. Even though she never wants to see me again, boy, do I wish I could just play her this song. One of my favorite songs ever sung by her ♥ Idina is perfection.
I won't forget mentioning Annie as a show she went to see growing up at the end of her Tony acceptance speech. She has good taste when it comes to the classics.
😍😍😍😍😍
This is great. This is my 4 year old daughter's favorite song and she's nuts about Elsa. When I showed her this, she couldn't stop watching it!
Whenever I hear someone sing this, all I can imagine is Audra McDonald singing this in the 1999 version of Annie. But wow Idina blows this out of the park, as always
I love them both
Wow! I was kind of Annie-obsessed as a child and still love it for many reasons, for example nostalgia and this version is just amazingly beautiful
Best version of the song that I have heard, even if I don't usually like it. Idina has an amazing voice! :)
there's no describing how much i love this woman and how much she inspires me. her voice is so unique and so perfect. she's amazing. i'm so glad i have her to look up to. if i ever can be as half as good as she is i'll be satisfied.

I like the way she's playing with her legs
I have always hated this song but now can't stop listening. IM is interpretive genius. Thank you
i loveeeee tht rift during "i just pick up my chin, and grin, and say" omg
This woman is my goddess.
What an amazing interpretation!
i will never get over how beautiful this is
I just love her. Wasn't even aware of her until I saw her sing "Let It Go" on Jimmy Fallon's show. I was instantly captivated!
*****
Thanks, will check them out!
Try to find her old broadway shows like Wicked, she was amazing
Mia Person
Yes, she has a unique quality which is hard to describe.
You have to hunt down the original Broadway soundtrack for Rent too! She is amazing in it.
Amazing voice. Truly mezmorising!
Idina Menzel, you beautiful person! You never cease to amaze me with your compelling performances
It's somehow sweet to think of that Annie was the musical that Idina wanted to star in as a girl and now she can sing every song she wants to sing from every musical ever written and everyone will love her for it...
Well i want to nominate Idina to play Grace in NBC's upcoming Annie Live
One of the most beautiful songs ever...
This is a Wonderful rendition by this singer. Well done! 😍😍😍
I will love you TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, IDINA!
I discovered Idina on Glee and have loved everything I have seen her do. In fact she has done the only other acceptable version of I know him so well, I have always been partial to Whitney's version but she knocked it out of the park

Ndtzdgg
Truly LOVE how she makes the song her own!!
Chills every single time.
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!
Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!
When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!

Very good, such a instant moment of beautiful singing!
I expected more of a bombastic arrangement. But Idina's vocals here are good enough. Annie was one of my musical baby steps before i saw Wicked. And nothing like a song where time has been powerless to put it's message out of fashion.
I get goosebumps every time I hear this. Amazing.

As much as I like this version It always feels different to when a child sings it.
The way she sang is so patient and very specified in rythm 🤔 a very good job
Thank you, Tela. Sending you regards and a warm hello.

@ibpeppers the song is "Tomorrow" from the musical "Annie" It is a show about an orphan girl whom has a horrible headmistress at her orphanage until she finds a home. She sings this song to teach that things get better.
