MTA NYCT: R62/R62A/R142 (1) (2) (3) (5) Local/Express Train Action at 72nd Street

(Rerouted) R142 (5) Trains
Due to a train’s brakes being activated at 33rd Street on the Lexington Avenue Line, Northbound (5) Trains were rerouted via the (2) Line from Nevins Street to 149th Street Grand Concourse. All three of which were Nereid Avenue bound trains.
It should probably also be noted that 5 hours prior, the same EXACT thing happened, except that it was just a stop north at Grand Central 42nd Street.
In the past, sometimes they would just randomly send (5) Trains via 7th Avenue as a rush hour thing, but it seems like that’s mostly gone away I guess, or at least what it seemed like since there was no reason or note/plans as to why they would do that.
