As a Trinidadian, yes Red Foots are found here. Much love and appreciation for all you do. Love your content, hope I'm able to visit the kamp next time I'm in Florida.
That’s the first time crazy Sophia hasn’t gone crazy when you’ve walked by, that I’ve seen anyway… pretty cool she’s calming down in that bigger enclosure
It’s not a bad idea, but I feel like as animals naturally pass and or he gives certain tortoises away the number system would kinda get confusing, unless he gets a tracking system for them but then that just becomes a lot.
Mix some flour and water into a paste. Dab it on each one as you find them. It should wash right off after you count them out. If you want to be fancy and count girls vs boys, mix two batches and put some vegetable die in one. Then dab away. Sounds like a good project for the kids.
@@-madmary2898 very good shout . That is nkt a had idea.. but I guess the rain will wash it off or when they go under the Bush or in tje mud it come off
There is safe paint an stuff u could color code them with a dot of paint we did this with magic marker on ferrets when we sold them to people who hadn't picked them up yet
Hi Kenan Love your property, it is a turtle paradise. Glad you found Stevie. I did not know a male tortoise made a noise when breeding. Slinky is so sweet. Loves his dad. You should put a bench in Slinky's enclosure, so you can sit, as and enjoy time with him. You are lucky that he did not try to eat toe. Yes put stickers on all of the tortoise's so you do not count them more than one time. Love all of your reptiles. I bet Slinky loved his chicken. 🦎🐍🐢❤️Cindy
Kenan .I am getting old ,I'm in lots of pain a lot of the time, but YOU MAKE my day !I was totally weeping when you nearly lost Slinky, and I'm with you in all my daily life ,you truly make my life worth living ,thankyou.
Tortoises in general are some amazingly alert animals, and when habituated to people are inquisitive about their humans' activities, always hoping for snacks. I really enjoy spending time around my creep of only 5 red-footed torts. Make sure you have closed-toe shoes, they can't resist trying to eat toes.
Such adorable red foot tortoises , super thrilled you found the wee little lass, but my favorite tortoises you have are Hercules and the Sulcata female that came to the country full grown I can not recall her name. Thank you ever so much for sharing and best wishes always.
I can’t believe you go in slinky’s home without closed toe shoes… at least leave a pair of crocs at the door in case, just to prevent the worst case scenario. But you’re the man love your channel.
I'm glad you found who you were looking for Kenan.😊 and I'm happy to know everything is looking good at the home front. Enjoy watching you and your videos. 💋
That breeding pair that the male was getting dragged was funny. I am sure it was not so funny for him, tho. So glad you found Stevie & ALWAYS a pleasure to hang with Slinky!
I know right!! My 10 year old daughter would definitely insanely love getting to go count those little characters. I'm truly amazed at how much personality they have, it's neat to see that they love you Kenan. This to me should be enough for humans to appreciate how beautiful nature is and how detrimental it is to protect it.
It's very refreshing to know that some kiddos are still being raised to someday be the future of nature and conservation. I'm not able, in the place I live, to be able to properly care for any reptiles. I do have furry babies that I adore. I enjoy learning about all of nature still tho. Hopefully someday I'll have some acres to enjoy some new companions. Honestly, I do appreciate Mi because bugs are not for me. I appreciate they die off once a year here.
@ Kenan Hahaha that little female dragging her bf with those 2 little hind legs "following" as stiff as possible.. LOL LMFAO and bf ain't about to let her go...made me laugh crazy...
@Kenan Slinky looks fantastic and yes, he is growing very well... I love him.. I recently got a Sav monitor... He is only a few months... Always fun and interesting vids. Thx for posting!!
It's not so unbelievable a professional would recognize good and safe feeling hiding spots for reptiles tortoises and all your animals. Good on you for finding it!
Kenan, question sir……If I do patroen with u. Do I have the ability to talk with u one on one sir?Im a 39yr old paralyzed Marine n have several questions. I have a aqua scape certified contractor coming on Thursday to give me quotes on recreational pond n a stream for my sulcatas to drink from. Wanted a guesstimate on price sir that I should be expecting
I just got some home cameras and put them on a couple of my animals. For as much as you love watching your animals do their natural thing, you really should put cameras up, even if it's just for you to observe them when you're not around! I've been having so much fun watching my beardie and my boyfriend's chinchilla play and act naturally when I'm not in the room.
Your huge yard is incredibly beautiful. And Slinky is such a good boy! Also it’s so funny that many tortoises are gathering around the bucket of foods, it’s so adorable😆💕
Those Monsteras are Beautiful! I love Tropical plants! I wish I could have them on my property but I live in New York so that ain't happening. And talking about plants is far from boring. But I know that's not what ya meant. Lol
Little Stevie didn't look like she was happy to be found! The way she bobbed her head out and that clicking when she hit her shell--- It's that body posture because the face sure as heck doesn't change!
A tortoise "herd" is called a creep... But can also be a "thicket" of tortoise, or a "angst" of tortoise. Plural for tortoises, is technically tortosi.
Hey Kenan!! I’m sure you may already do this but!! When I was working on a farm the BEST way to keep track of livestock/collection is to write it down or make a spread sheet!! I’m sure Kait or Sophie would be a great help and maybe you should get a total count of all the animals in the camp, which I’m sure is hard when u breed and aquire new animals occasionally and I imagine it’d be a really cool video to see a full spread of all the camp animals!!
We often counted the birds and sheep DAILY because it can be really hard to notice an animals gone missing especially when they all look the same we had over 50 chickens and nearly 10 sheep I couldn’t imagine what a bigger flock would have been like (to keep track of)
For me, the Creaser's Mud Turtles scale any rock or block enclosure and I had to resort to tile on the side facing them. For a long time I would just wander up upon one or two. Best ever is finding babies though next to the pool. Good luck
Kenan you should bonding with Lagatha by just sitting down in her enclosure and feed her from that seated position, so that she has to come closer to you for the food, that way she can get closer and more comfortable with to build that bond/trust.
I also have a escape artist But mine is a pet rabbit I use a "Ferret" Tracker on him It is a collar that sends out a short range radio signal to allow people that hunt with Ferrets to figure out where it is underground But I would bet you could glue it to the shell of your tortoise That way you could track the signal
I think we need some more merch designs sometime soon would def help you out at the kamp with some more cash to start building out some of the other enclosures. Like lumpy Lego pinky bobby I think the kampers would love that. I already have the slinky shirt and kamp shirt now hahaha.

How many red foots did he count? 32? And he still knew her by name when he found her! C'mon, the man cares about his flock!
Ohhh yessss! The one guy gettin dragged along is just absolutely priceless. I am so glad I got to see that in this video!!! Mannn I love your channel!
They all look so cute. But never would've imagined a tortoise to be an escape artist lol.
Plot Twist: Kenan just wanted to show off his amazing backyard
LOVE to see it daily!
Kenan u should put a couple other red foots in with the little escape artist so she has some company and isn’t all alone
Your property is like a mini jungle, I love it. Slinky is such a good boy.
That little girl dragging her boyfriend with his legs dragging made me LOL
My mans was gettin it in!!!
The sound he made was hilarious 🤣🤣
She was obviously not into it duh
Kinda fell in love with that little girl Steeve (hope I speled that at least kinda right) over the past few videos.
Time lapse cameras? Would be so fun to see him planning his escape. Thank you for sharing your daily challenges and joys
We need a live feed of Slinkys home to see how he acts when no one is around an what he does during the day an night.. Who agrees??
That’s the first time crazy Sophia hasn’t gone crazy when you’ve walked by, that I’ve seen anyway… pretty cool she’s calming down in that bigger enclosure
Couldn't you put on a animal/eco friendly paint or some harmless sticker that you could number them so you can keep track of those escape artists lol
It’s not a bad idea, but I feel like as animals naturally pass and or he gives certain tortoises away the number system would kinda get confusing, unless he gets a tracking system for them but then that just becomes a lot.
@@yrineo52 that is very true about the numbers.. that is a good point it make it more confusing over time.. you could always put names on each one ?

put some non toxic paint on them like 1.2.3.4. then you can count them and know if you have counted them again

But if he sells any or any pass away then the numbers will get confusing
