Yeah, that's the thing about Edward. People always criticize him for being control, and that's a 100% fair criticism... but it really only applies to her in regards to her safety. Edward, unlike Jacob, is actually willing to let Bella go if that's what she wants. Even after Bella freaking cheats on him by kissing Jacob like a day after she agreed to marry him, Edward didn't even get mad at her. That's insanely open minded of him... probably more open minded that he should be. Edward doesn't get enough credit in this regard.
The most probable reason that the Third Wife killed herself was because her entire family/tribe had been killed by the first vampire or his mate & she didn’t want to live anymore, but she thought maybe she could get some sweet revenge before she checked out.
There are a few reasons it was so easy to take out the newborn army. The newborns might be strong but the Cullens have the brains. Jasper is an extremely good fighter and could probably take out half of them on his own, Alice can see what they are about to do so it is virtually impossible to get her and Edward can read the opponents mind so he has the same kind of advantage as Alice. Carlisle and emmet are both rather good, Esme being the only Cullen who hasn’t really learned to fight but even she has had more training than any of the newborns. So before the wolves decided to join the Cullens would probably have been able to take out the newborns but maybe with a few casualties but after the pack joined they were about even in numbers and the newborns had no idea that the wolves even existed so it was really easy for them to take out all the newborns after that even without Edward.
Edward blames himself for Bella and Jake getting close. I’m not sure which version of the film you’re watching, but there’s a longer scene after the Bella & Jake kiss where Edward tells Bella that when he left her, he left her bleeding (meaning he intentionally hurt her and broke her heart). And Jake was her friend who picked her up and dusted her off. He knows that left a mark on them both, and he understands that the platonic (and somewhat romantic love) came from him hurting & abandoning her. Edward does understand a bit of the conflict in her feelings, but knows she ultimately wants to be with him
Bella cares about Jacob as a friend and nothing more. She never talked bad to Jacob, not one time. She loves him as a friend!!! Plus he's not a very good person most times.

the movies don't explain it very well but in the books... vampire are solitary creature like a tiger or bear. outside the Volturi, the Cullens are the largest group of Vampires in the world the newborn have super strength but no fighting skills. they are also easily distracted. the Cullen are weaker because of the animal blood but have powers and have years of self control and focus to make them stronger. the book also imply that the Cullens are strong because they are family and they fight for their loved one. their bond makes them stronger.
the Volturi are stronger and everyone has a power. and they also have years of combat training. but they are covenant not a family. so they fight and kill each other for rank and power. and the book point out that, in the Volturi, there is a vampire that can make or break bonds in people. so she could probably break the bonds between Edward and Carlisle but she can't break mate bonds like Edward to Bella or Carlisle to Esme. she also can force new bonds like Edward or Alice to the Volturi.
The best question... how were they passing the notes back and forth?.... i have the answer... their dads. Literally their dad were passing notes for them like they were in 6th grade.

That's a very good point and is where I feel the films failed. I don't think Kirsten Stewart was the best fit for the role of Bella (I don't dislike her, just don't think sje fully encapsulated the character). Bella in the books is a very endearing and empathetic person that puts the needs of her friends and family above herself. She's not arrogant or fake, and she is one of those people that just draws people to her. I don't think the films did her character justice but I still enjoy them 😊

Carlisle flat out said James would know Bella was with Edward. I suppose the best explanation is that neither the Cullens or the wolves trusted each other enough to do something like that. Seth and Edward probably trust each other after Eclipse, but they didn't know each other prior to the newborn battle.

I kinda disliked this movie because Jacob was so annoying with his pursuit of Bella. He has literally told her the story of Sam & Leah & Emily and how Sam & Leah were together as a couple, Sam imprinted on Emily one day, and left Leah to be with Emily. But...Jacob has not imprinted on Bella. He is begging her to leave Edward and be with him, knowing he could imprint on someone else at any moment, and then he would have to leave Bella. He would have a biological/supernatural need to be with that other person. It was really selfish of Jake to try and break up her relationship, knowing he could possibly imprint on his “soulmate” the next day and leave Bella heartbroken and alone. Plus I like the original Victoria much much better. The recast was annoying
I was always disappointed that this wasn't talked about more in the books. You would think Leah at least would be getting on Jacobs case, given what happened to her. The whole thing is really messed up. Jacob NOT imprinting on Bella was the universe telling him and Bella that there was someone else for him. But this is never really brought up at all during the whole love triangle fiasco, and I think it's a very important point.

What's my thoughts about Bella (read all books and watched the films)? Bella was not worth all this drama. She wasn't. Still stand by that after all this time. 😒 Enough with the teams. She was always gonna choose Edward. Bella just constantly left Jacob in her back pocket cause she knew he would be there, be her support system to deal with her constant emotional crisis & damsel in distress mode. My feelings about Bella haven't changed, esp after Breaking Dawn, which brings up my overall issues about Bella's journey. I'll save that after you've finished both films.

Nah. You definitely ain't the only one. I'm tired of hearing people say Bella led him on and he's a good guy. He's not. Stephanie Myers literally changed the way she wrote his character to make reader hate him. Twilight was never supposed to be a love triangle. Jacob was never supposed to be considered a love option. He was meant to be her best friend and best friend only. That's why his name is Jacob. Stephanie named him after her brother. But the publishers wanted more drama and wanted a love triangle. So she gave them one, but she also made it really fucking hard for any emotionally mature person to like Jacob. That's why there's such a huge shift in how he acts before he's a wolf, and after. And Bella never once led Jacob on. Over and over again she's stated what she needed from Jacob. A friend. She admitted she was using him in New Moon because she knew he liked her as more than a friend, but she literally said "I don't think it means the same thing to me that it does to you" when he tried to hold her hand. That was her saying I'm not interested in you like that, but I need you to stay here with me because you're my friend. She literally says all of this. But people act like just because she only said it one time in the beginning of that movie that it just doesn't apply always. Anyone who believes she ever felt anything for Jacob besides platonic friendship is the same person who doesn't know they're getting rejected unless the person is being a straight bitch about it.
Charlie is probably one of the most underrated characters of this series. But he's still an excellent father towards Bella :)

Bella just constantly left Jacob in her back pocket cause she knew he would be there, be her support system to deal with her constant emotional crisis & damsel in distress mode.
My feelings about Bella haven't changed, esp after Breaking Dawn, which brings up my overall issues about Bella's journey.

Yes I was obsessed with twilight when I was younger now that I’m older I still love them but I definitely see how toxic & creepy this whole love triangle is but I still love them too 💯🤷🏾♀️🤣 if you wanna get into a good vampire show you should watch/react to True blood!! There’s also the vampire diaries but it’s a teenybopper show & has 22 episodes a season & its 8 seasons. It’s spin-off the originals is way better imo

Nah. You definitely ain't the only one. I'm tired of hearing people say Bella led him on and he's a good guy. He's not. Stephanie Myers literally changed the way she wrote his character to make reader hate him. Twilight was never supposed to be a love triangle. Jacob was never supposed to be considered a love option. He was meant to be her best friend and best friend only. That's why his name is Jacob. Stephanie named him after her brother. But the publishers wanted more drama and wanted a love triangle. So she gave them one, but she also made it really fucking hard for any emotionally mature person to like Jacob. That's why there's such a huge shift in how he acts before he's a wolf, and after. And Bella never once led Jacob on. Over and over again she's stated what she needed from Jacob. A friend. She admitted she was using him in New Moon because she knew he liked her as more than a friend, but she literally said "I don't think it means the same thing to me that it does to you" when he tried to hold her hand. That was her saying I'm not interested in you like that, but I need you to stay here with me because you're my friend. She literally says all of this. But people act like just because she only said it one time in the beginning of that movie that it just doesn't apply always. Anyone who believes she ever felt anything for Jacob besides platonic friendship is the same person who doesn't know they're getting rejected unless the person is being a straight bitch about it.
